Consumer Complaint: I have an American Express credit card I was one day late on my payment that was due XXXX and paid XXXX. I was charged a {$25.00} late fee and contacted American Express XX/XX/23 and asked them to waive the fee as a courtesy I was until they submitted the request but it came back denied for unspecified reasons. I asked a supervisor what reason was provided for the denial and he didnt know and said it could be any number of factors as they do not give Amex representatives that information but he did disclose that because I do not use my card enough that may be a factor as to why my request was declined.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Finance Protection Bureau, I am writing to dispute the actions of American Express regarding my accounts. I have a Business Gold card with the account number XXXX, a Personal Platinum Card with the account number XXXX, and an XXXX XXXX XXXX Card with the account number XXXX. Recently, American Express has been threatening to harm my personal credit because I can not make a payment in full of almost {$4000.00} at one time on my Business Gold card. I strongly believe that business and personal matters should not be mixed, and American Express is violating this principle by threatening to harm my personal credit. I would also like to bring to your attention that my Personal Platinum Card and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX are both up to date on payments. However, American Express has suspended all usage on every card, including my Business Gold and Personal Platinum Cards, simply because I can not afford to make the payments on the Business Gold Card. This is completely unfair and unreasonable. To make matters worse, American Express has threatened to report my Personal Platinum Card as late because of a separate card, even though I have a current and up-to-date payment history on it. This action is unacceptable and I believe it is not legal. I am willing to make arrangements to pay down my debt on the Business Gold Card, but due to my recent divorce, I have found myself in a rough patch and a financial bind. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I was placed on hold for 23 minutes when trying to get the credit balance on our American Express card refunded to us! The customer service rep dragged us through ringers despite the initial authentication asking me 5 security questions in order to finally me that they will transfer the funds BACK to our bank account!! American Express is claiming that they can ONLY send ut the check! And they are refusing to send a check to the NEW address we want the refund check to be sent! The balance owed us by America Express on this car is in excess of {$3000.00} US dollars but despite that, we have NEVER gotten ANY notification that we have over-paid the credit card by mistake! This is a clear case of abuse where these Credit Card companies will not leave any stone unturned when they are collecting, but will make us miserable when they OWE the consumer 's money!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I made a couple of withdraws at an XXXX ATM, located inside of an XXXX gas station ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX, NV XXXX ). The last two withdraws I made were not dispensed to me, both transactions were {$400.00}. I then called the number on the ATM ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ), the agent created two cases for the transactions. The agent then provided me with both case numbers ( XXXX & XXXX ), told me to contact my bank and ask them to file a Regulation E. When I got back into town, I called them that Monday ( XX/XX/2023 ) and they created the disputes and also told me, if they haven't finished their investigation within 10 business days that I could be eligible for a temporary credit while they are investigating. I've called Serve on multiple occasions and they have been telling me to continue wait and keep checking back in. It has been about a month since I've heard anything from them, I haven't even gotten an email. When I called this morning, the agent refused to transfer me to an supervisor/manager, she wouldn't even transfer me to a different agent, and once again they told me I have to continue waiting. This money was my rent money and now I'm not even sure how I am going to make my rent. This has been such a HUGE inconvenience for me. I believe that customers should never get treated the way I've been treated. I just really want all of this resolved.

Consumer Complaint: American Express National Bank, XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, UT XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX opened an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX account, product name XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX with {$20000.00}. On XXXX my account balance was {$20000.00}, and on XXXX my account was hacked and someone by name XXXX XXXX created a new account and transferred {$20000.00} to her account. The Bank never notified me of suspicious activity and it was not until XXXX that I checked my Savings account to realize a balance of {$250.00} in my account and {$200.00} in a fraudalent account that has been closed after I made my initial call on the same day. I have called the Customer Care at American Express National Bank at XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX last name not allowed ), XX/XX/XXXX spoke with XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX with XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX spoke with XXXX, lastly today called & spoke with rep XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX & all later calls I was told the investigation had started & three letters have been sent to the Bank where the transfer of my funds were sent to, I was told today the name XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX... XXXXno info other than to visit their website to complain.

Consumer Complaint: I was asked for an upfront {$20000.00} deposit by a XXXX who uphold me a lot of XXXX work. He gave me a total estimate of {$42000.00} as it was to include all XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The first page of his estimate totals {$68000.00} and the second page says {$42000.00}. Anyone looking at it could see it does not add up, I asked for a detailed billing gir the {$42000.00} but he never gave me one. He did XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX I cancelled as XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. I had to fit home for 20 days as he cancelled 2 appts. I told Amex to give him {$3000.00} which they did which was much more than he should have gotten. XXXX is trying to keep my deposit snd he billed me {$16000.00}. He has services snd s mould that was not made The prices on this bill are unheard of. I told Amex and disputed it. Then they charged me back I then had to go to 2 more dentist who did XXXX and reports and that cost me over {$1000.00} The new XXXX confirmed thework was not done. It took me some time to find 2 new reputable XXXX. Im XXXX with s XXXX XXXX and Amex is refusing to give me my money back {$13000.00}. This has been ongoing since XXXX XXXXwhen I cancelled .This is a fraudulent dentist .Amex is ignoring it and Ive talked to 30 people but because the dispute dept is outsourced I go from one person to the next and nothing gets solved. On top of it They refused to dispute one of the charge on my bill of {$7000.00} and in their terms it says I have the right. Its easier to explain via the phone. They refuse to send me their dispute terms. Today they told me I would be recharged $ XXXXand that it is a tort claim. Its not a tort claim. Ive been billed for services I never received and they have the evidence. Its very simple. My credit score is XXXX and Ive had Amex 30 years. They are really bad now. Ive called in over 25 times and it gets worse with each call.
