Consumer Complaint: American Express closed all my accounts. I called the executive office and was told I was rude to one of their agents. Really? Rude to an agent. I was not, maybe my authorized user XXXX XXXX was rude to an agent when he called but I was not. I tried to apply for a new card with AMEX but was told by their underwriting team I had been placed on their blacklist. This is highly illegal. Ive attached the laws for everyone concerned. I was even told by AMEX executive office that any new applications would automatically decline because I was on this illegal list. The executive office told me they could close an account for any reason even if it broke federal or state because their credit application is above federal and state laws. I spoke with an attorney ( for advice ) that said this was not true. Amex would need to pull a credit bureau and process the credit application like any other bank or face sanctions and lawsuits. I want my Amex XXXX card reopened immediately or if thats not possible I would like to reapply and be taken off this blacklist.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I noticed a pending charge on my Amex credit card for the amount of {$60.00}. I disputed this charge with American Express as it posted several days later. American Express eventually closed the dispute without resolution. They said the card was used in person with no other details given. The charge was processed through a payment processing company called XXXX, and the name of the company accepting credit is a XXXX company called XXXX XXXX XXXX. I re-opened the dispute and have waited another 2 months for a resolution. The last 2 times I called Amex I was on the phone an hour each time, but the reps eventually hung up on me.

Consumer Complaint: -previously payments where send thur XXXX XXXX pay on the 1st of each month and arrived with in 2 days -payment was send on XXXX but was not accepted Amex had requested XXXX send a paper check which took 9 days and arrived on XXXX causing a 'late payment ' and {$29.00} late fee XXXX called Amex and reported the problem after investigation and discussiong with XXXX XXXX. XXXX said Amex had requested a 'paper check ' which arrivied on XXXX and could not be late! -payment was send on XXXX but again was not accepted by Amex causing a {$40.00} late fee -other banks have historically used this fraud scheme to over charge and add late fees -as of today XXXX i will not longer send payments to Amex -Amex has defrauded me before with this scam and other scams similar

Consumer Complaint: The denial of my credit application on the XX/XX/2023 used several decisive factors as a basis for denying me access to my own credit. This is a violation of 15 U.S. Code ss 1611. The basis for denial are listed below for American Express : >Account ( s ) not paid as agreed. >Delinquency date too recent or unknown. >Amount owed on delinquent accounts. >Length of time accounts have been established. The information is not only inaccurate, but has no legally-valid basis for consideration in a making a credit approval decision. Under 15 U.S. Code 1681, American Express has engaged in adverse action by unlawfully denying me access to a line of credit. A letter detailing these violations has been mailed to American Express Underwriter on XX/XX/2023 to correct these errors.

Consumer Complaint: I have been disputing this account one XXXX for years. It has been opened and closed fraudulently. I sent in a few affidavits to XXXX and they dont do anything about it. They just say American Express claims this account is valid but they dont send any documents or proof that this account does belong to me. I spoke with American Express and they really dont have the best customer service I called and they were ready to do an investigation with the account that popped up and I didnt even give her any of my information yet. It took about 3-4 times for her to understand I was calling on an account that was listed on my credit. I then asked if this account is verified why havent I receive any documents or proof? The information she provided to me ie : address email etc didnt belong to me and never belonged to me. I have given them my new information for the investigation and now Im worried theyre going to try to change the information just to say the account belongs to me. Mind you they have been removed from my other credit bureaus XXXX is the only one saying theyre saying this acct is valid
