Consumer Complaint: I refinanced my ally auto loan with my personal and I got the payoff check and called ally to get the right information to send the check. I read the address back multiple times and the guy said yes correct. I send the check on XX/XX/XXXX next day, I check tracking on the XXXX it shows delivered. The payoff was good until the XXXX so on the XXXX I check to see if check cleared and my ally account shows passed due, huh? So confused I call my bank and the inform me that ally cashed the check on XX/XX/XXXX. So now I call ally back and tell them about the check being cashed and nothing. They never have answers they cant tell me anything they act like there clueless and hang up the phone. I dont know what else to do I can give proof later if needed I dont want ally to see my information yet

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I had completed a refinance application with Ally Financial mortgage department and had to pay {$550.00} to lock in on rate. I was informed that everything far as credit was in order and we would move forward in completing the application process. I was informed that the Underwriting department would have to view my documents before completing the process and was told that the Underwriting department informed that we could move forward. For over a month I was going back and forth and submitting all requested documentation. I was informed that we were approaching the close process and everything looks fine and we would move forward to finalize paperwork and complete before the expiration on the lock in date. I was told that the lock in of {$550.00} would be credited back to me. The process went on for over a month. After a month of submitting all documentation I was informed that my application was denied and my {$550.00} locking rate would not be refunded back to me and would be applied to the appraisal fee. I feel that Ally Financial has poor business practices and very deceptive and misleading information that they communicate to their customers. I feel that they have scammed me and took my {$550.00}. Consumer Complaint: The car this loan was for was totaled. My insurer paid Ally Financial the value of the car and my gap insurance covered the remaining balance. Ally Financial is reporting the balance of the loan : XXXX {$15000.00}, XXXX {$320.00}, and XXXX {$320.00}. The car was involved in an accident on XX/XX/XXXX. XXXX XXXX was notified of the accident on XX/XX/XXXX. I have repeatedly tried to work with them to ensure they were aware of what was going on with the car. They have not been willing to work with me to resolve any of the issues I've had as a result of the accident. They have listed my payment as 30 days late in XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. The loan was paid off in the amount of {$14000.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. However, according to the XX/XX/XXXX statement they state that I owe {$14000.00}. None of their records make any sense. They should no longer be negatively affecting my credit score.

Consumer Complaint: Ally Bank failed to pay by home owners insurance resulting in my policy cancelation. They claimed to have mailed a check on XX/XX/XXXX, for a bill due on XX/XX/XXXX. My home owner 's insurance never received the payment and I was called on XX/XX/XXXX, stating my policy was terminated for lack of payment. This has happened last year with my flood and home owners insurance. I was able to reinstate my policy by paying on my credit card, including fee 's. I called Ally Bank and asked that they cancel the check they sent to prevent double payment. They said they were sorry for the problem and were issuing a second check to my insurance company, which they said was their policy. I offered to send them a copy of my paid insurance and they would not stop the process. After questioning, they said they had already sent the second check ( mailed ) on XX/XX/XXXX, which also was not received by my insurance company. I asked for their manager to call me, so I can stop any additional payments and their manager stated the mistake was a result of a routing number error, which doesnt align with the previous statement that it was mailed. Routing numbers are not required if they are mailed. They said they will try a third and additional attempt until they can make the payment, in which case I will be out an additional {$2200.00}, as I already paid the policy. My Complaints are : 1. Ally Bank consistantly makes escrow payments late. I can only conclude this is part of their business plan to maximize their profits on escrow funds. Im sure there are many consumers facing the same problem. 2. Ally Bank sent me an official statement claiming and subtracting insurance payment from my escrow account when they knew the payment was not paid. mailing the payment is not payment. This is fraud, and sending fraudulent claims via offical US Postal service. 3. From a personal perspective, I've paid money into my escrow monthly, without delay, and had to pay my insurance out of pocket, with fee 's. I don't have an extra {$2200.00} laying around, and I have no pathway to getting it either refunded, or credited back to my escrow.

Consumer Complaint: I had a vehicle loan through Ally financial and the car was totaled in a flood. Ally was paid by my insurance and gave me another loan for another vehicle. Rather than rolling my old balance into the new loan, it is on XXXX as a negative to me? How can I be negative on a vehicle I no longer have an Ally was paid? Also if I was such a bad customer and owed them money why did they finance my current car? This is an unfair marking on my credit report! Ally then was paid with Gap insurance and I went over and beyond getting all corrected for them so they would be paid yet AGAIN! This is robbery and credit reports seem to work with these companies that prey on the less fortunate. This amount has been removed from my other credit reports, yet XXXX continues to have a WORKING CLASS XXXX woman struggle due to not taking the time to investigate EVERYTHING. I am asking that this debt be REMOVED from my credit report after a COMPLETE and full investigation of total dollars paid to Ally on a FLOOD totaled car.
