Issue: Vehicle was repossessed or sold the vehicle
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Ally Financial illegally repossessed my vehicle through a third party debt collection service on XX/XX/2021. They violated my privacy by coming onto my property and stealing my car and selling it w/o my consent. The company continued to call and harass me illegally through XXXX XXXX after the matter. I have compiled exhibits to show evidence of the matter at hand. Also when purchasing the vehicle the bank coerced me into payments on the vehicle when pursuant to 15 USC 1605 ( a ) the " finance charge '' is defined as the sum of all charges. I also paid {$2000.00} cash down during a consumer credit transaction.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, I had the opportunity to obtain and review a copy of my credit report. Upon reviewing my credit report I noticed that the Ally Financial account is still reporting inaccurate information. I have included a detailed description of the reason for my dispute below : I received numerous phone calls about a debt I owed to Ally Financial. I spoke with a representative on XX/XX/XXXX, informing me that I had an outstanding balance due for and auto loan that I obtained in XX/XX/XXXX. I explained to the representative that I had traded in the car in question in XXXX of XXXX and my account had been paid in full as of XX/XX/XXXX per the letter that I received from Ally Financial. I was told to email a copy of the letter I received showing that my account was paid in full. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent an email to XXXX. The representative told me that my email would be reviewed and a manager would contact me. No one ever contacted me regarding the email. The calls stopped for a few months and then they started back around XX/XX/XXXX, still stating that I owed a balance. I told the representative that I had emailed a copy of the letter I received stating that my account was paid in full. The representative had no notes of this on my file. I was told again that my account would be sent to a manager and someone would be in touch with me. Again, I received no contact via phone, mail or email from Ally in regards to my account being closed. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a letter to the three credit bureaus ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that the Ally Financial Account was reporting incorrect information on my credit report. I provided the letter I received from Ally to the credit bureaus. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX sent me a letter stating that this account had been removed from my credit report only for it to be added back to my credit report again a few weeks later. The balance that was being reported on my credit report was {$560.00}. My credit report also showed that the account was in good standing and that I had been making on time payments since XXXX, which was false because I no longer made payments to Ally once my account was closed. On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a certified letter to Ally informing them that my account was still being reported inaccurately and I would like for them to remove this account from my credit report. At the time that I sent the letter to Ally the balance reported on my credit report increased to {$560.00}. Ally received my letter on XX/XX/XXXX. Today, XX/XX/XXXX, I received notification that my credit report had changed. When I reviewed my credit report, Ally now showed that I owed {$1000.00}, which was a {$440.00} increase from the previous balance that was being reported. My account was also flagged as being 180 days past due. This is unacceptable for this company to continuously ignore the proof that my account was paid in full and further more that they continue to report inaccurate information without any explanation. I would like this account removed from all three credit bureaus immediately.

Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Account opened as a result of fraud
Consumer Complaint: Recently I was going through my past paperwork to shred and I found 2 packets of Ally Bank. One had Welcome to Ally Bank with 18 Savings Account details and other with Customer Statement with 28 accounts in it. I had never opened any accounts with Ally, but it seems Ally got my information from somewhere and had opened these accounts in my name. If someone could help me close these fraudulent accounts, then it would be a big help. Thanks, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: My vehicle was repossessed on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX in the morning. I had a schedule payment of {$990.00} that was returned on Monday by my bank. I made a {$250.00} payment via XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and call to reschedule the {$990.00} for Friday XX/XX/XXXX but was locked out of my online account. I never received the certified notification required by the state of Maryland. Ally Financial keeps directing me to call the repossession department. When calling the repossession department I get disconnected when I enter my account number or social security number. The customer service department can give me no information about why it was repossessed and has not sent any notification of repossession. Ally also doesnt not accept certain credit card transactions with no explanation. They take days to process scheduled payments also.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: A complaint was filed on XXXX under for not updating my credit report to show Ally is paid in full. Their response back the you ( CFPB ) that the account was updated. A complaint was filed on Ally with you ( CFPB ) for not posting my payoff check to my account to reflect a {$0.00} balance since XX/XX/2021 and also failure to report the closed account to all 3 credit bureaus. Ally finally updated the account to {$0.00} balance recently but did not report my account is paid in full to XXXX. The account is still open showing a balance of {$22000.00} and is being counted as part of the debt ratio, credit and/or from receiving a low interest rate. Although have a letter stating the account is closed, this is not acceptable with some banks when trying to obtain a credit. Per XXXX, the account has to show {$0.00} balance on the credit report. Ive asked numerous of times for this problem to be resolved with XXXX and with Ally. XXXX will not allow me to file another dispute or call in to file a dispute regarding Ally. Ive provided the complaint # s that was filed with you ( CFPB ) to show their response back stating the issue is resolved ( which is incorrect ). Here are the complaint # s : # XXXX, # XXXX & # XXXX

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: The Ally company has been contacting my neighbors about getting in touch with me regarding my vehicle loan. This has been occurring since XX/XX/XXXX even when I have specified and indicated that I will pay even if I am behind 3 payments. I have {$3900.00} outstanding balance, I have paid over 90 % of the loan which is equivalent of {$34000.00}. They have been calling me since I lost my job in XX/XX/XXXX, and I have reported to them that I do not have employment at this moment. I have been paying them with part of my unemployment. They were unreasonable and did not negotiate to withhold payment for a few months until I receive steady payment. There was no negotiation from their part, and they have been calling on average seven times a day. The times are unacceptable times at XXXX XXXX, XXXX aXXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, and I have been paying {$100.00} to {$300.00} dollars a month. My last payment was on XX/XX/XXXX for {$300.00}. This was all my unemployment money to keep them from repossessing my car.
