Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX a scammer group posing as XXXX XXXX employees took {$24000.00} from my Wells Fargo account via a wire transfer. I have loaded the letter I sent to the FBI. The transfer was from one Wells Fargo account to another Wells Fargo bank account in California. When I realized what had happened I contacted the bank immediately on the same day and froze all my accounts and asked the bank to cancel the wire transfer. I opened a case with Wells Fargo a few days later as the money had disappeared from my account the next morning even though I had asked for the transfer to be stopped. I was informed by the bank the wire transfer could not be cancelled in time and the account it was sent to had been closed but they had attempted to recover our funds. My understanding from a branch employee at Well Fargo was Wells Fargo has insurance that assists customers with reimbursement for their loss from a scam and customers have been reimbursed in the past. I am not sure if Wells Fargo does not want to reimburse me or rules have changed and I am not entitled to a reimbursement. I have filed complaints and reports about the scam to the FTC, FBI, Attorney Generals for TN, DE and CA as well as having spoken to the adult protective services for our county. The scammers were located in DE, XXXX is in California and I reside in TN so that is why I contacted all the different jurisdictions. I am hopeful someone can assist us with recovering our money as the money was part of our life savings. Wells Fargo does not seem to want to assist us any further.

Consumer Complaint: I looked up which banks were offering bonuses for opening a checking account and determined which bank to go with which was Wells Fargo. It was contingent on me opening a direct deposit of at least XXXX within 90 days. It was opened XX/XX/year>. I called them today and was told there was no record of my entering a number for the account. I really don't remember if I put a number in but it seems if there was a spot for it I would have done it. My question to you is can they offer something, you apply and then get approved and then told its by invitation only basically. I know I did get a offer through the mail about the bonus on the credit card I have with them and they fulfilled the bonus. I actually applied for a second one and was turned down with some lame excuse about not knowing if I was going to keep it paid. I have credit score in high XXXX 's and cards with XXXX for over XXXX worth of credit that I currently owe @ XXXX dollars. I only did it because it was the fourth one I had received from them. Please let me know what you hear from them. I did ask them how many people they had done this too
