Consumer Complaint: My business banks with Wells Fargo. On XX/XX/, a false/fraudulent check for {$24000.00} was deposited by an unknown person ( written to " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on the check ). We called Wells Fargo and let them know it was a fraudulent check and they said they would look into it. Almost 3 months later, they sent us a statement saying they couldn't recover our funds, which we thought was absolutely ridiculous. The case number was XXXX. We would like some better fraud protection from a large, national bank.

Consumer Complaint: I have two CDs with Wells Fargo. I received notice that the CD would be renewed at the same term if I did not respond between XX/XX/29 and XXXX. I called prior to XX/XX/29 and on XXXX. I missed the period between XXXX because we were traveling outside of the country. I let them know I would pay a fee since I was outside of the grace period, but they said the only way I could stop the CD from renewing was to mail in a notarized letter ( which is not easy and would potentially cost me money ) or to make an appointment with a banker ( which is only during my work hours and I would have to take off or miss work ). I feel that Wells Fargo is intentionally making it difficult for me to change the terms of this CD. The rate is currently at 1 % and I'm sure they do not want to pay the current fair market rate of 5 %. They are being abusive by not having this ability via phone and making it very difficult for a consumer to complete this action.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021, I became a victim of identity theft. At the time of this incident, I only had two accounts opened with the bank : my checking and my savings account. Nobody but myself had access to my password or username and I was confident enough to trust the bank to notify me when suspicious activity happened. Unfortunately, I was not alerted when multiple fraudulent accounts were opened. On the afternoon of XX/XX/2021 I checked my online banking account and I quickly noticed that XXXX XXXX dollars were missing from my savings account. I called the bank to see what was going on as it was after hours and I was not able to go into a branch. As I was on the phone with a representative, I was informed that there had been XXXX different accounts opened from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, none of these accounts were authorized and I was not notified of these accounts being opened. One of the accounts, in particular, was being used and had a debit card linked to it, they would transfer money from my actual savings account into it and would withdraw the money at different ATMs in a different state from where I reside. The first transfer happened on XX/XX/2021, they transferred XXXX XXXX dollars and withdrew it at two different ATMs on the same day, the same processes happened on XXXX XXXX, and XXXX. XXXX of dollars were being withdrawn outside of the state in which I live and I was not notified of any of this activity happening. I submitted a claim on the phone and was told that it would take about XXXX weeks to get a response. On XXXX XXXX I received a letter in the mail regarding my claim, In that letter the bank stated that they would not refund my money because the accounts were opened using my username and password. I went into a branch the following day to speak to a representative in person, I got copies of all the fraudulent accounts opened and noticed that my home address had been changed to one outside of the state and my email address had also been changed. I asked the bank multiple times to review my claim again because I was not happy with the results but was always told that because my claim had already been declined and closed, they would not reopen it. I dont think it's fair to have my hard-earned money stolen and have the bank not do anything about it, I am in desperate need of help as I seem to not be getting anywhere by myself.

Consumer Complaint: Mortgage Bank : Wells Fargo We paid off our loan in full on XX/XX/2024. Wells Fargo subsequently proceeded to take a a mortgage interest payment from our bank on XX/XX/2024, the day after the mortgage had been paid off. What right does Wells Fargo have to take an interest payment after the loan has been paid off? I contacted them and they said it will take up to XXXX business days to be returned to my bank. What rights do I have to reclaim lost interest?

Consumer Complaint: I had received XXXX refunds from money orders I purchased from XXXX XXXX. They are Wells fargo checks. And I went to cash them to find out that they are deposit only checks. So I opened an account with Wells Fargo on XX/XX/XXXX of 2024 and deposited XXXX checks that day. XXXX checks were {$1000.00} each and XXXX was for {$250.00}. About XXXX hours after I open the account I get a email saying they are closing my account because of fraud suspected of me altering the checks. I don't see why they can't verify the checks since it's from Wells Fargo? I've waited already XXXX months for the refund from XXXX XXXX I have all the paperwork I even have the original money orders. When I sent the request off I didn't have the originals so I had to notarize XXXX different applications and send {$30.00} for each application for the search request to XXXX XXXX. Now I got to wait more time for Wells Fargo to verify the checks saying that I altered them? This is absolutely ridiculous.
