Consumer Complaint: USAA has XXXX accounts that I have requested that they properly report the balance to the credit Bureaus. XXXX XXXX balance {$3900.00} XXXX XXXX balance {$4800.00} I have requested that USAA properly report the balances versus using balances that are XXXX cycles old. They advised that they do not provide reporting information to bureaus off cycle as they make the decision. As per the fair credit reporting act I am asking for help as this is negatively impacting my credit score. When I asked USAA for information to send to the XXXX bureaus they said that send my statement which has too much personal information to send in. They are not willing to get this done and I need it expedited.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/year> I called USAA customer service to see if my credit card had any 0 % interest offers because I wanted to do a balance transfer. The customer service rep said there weren't any active offers available. I then went onto USAA.com and applied for the visa signature credit card which offers " Get a 0 % intro XXXX for 15 months on purchases. After this time, the variable regular APR of 17.15 % to 31.15 % will apply to these introductory balances. '' I was approved. I signed the paperwork under the understanding that this is what I would be getting since this is what was advertised. I then did a balance transfer and it went through on XX/XX/XXXX and I am now being charged interest on the balance I transferred. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called USAA and talked to XXXX. I asked why I was being charged interest on a 0 % interest offer and they told me that the card I signed up for didn't offer 0 % interest. And the only 0 % interest offered on the card I was approved for was on purchases not balance transfers. She said that my first USAA credit card was the one that had 0 % interest on balance transfers which just happened to be conveniently offered on the SAME DAY that my balance transfer posted on my second USAA card. I asked XXXX if I could transfer the amount of my second USAA credit card to the first since that offered the 0 % interest and she said I couldn't. I said that that wasn't the offer that I was posted online and she passed me to XXXX in the customer relations department. After being on hold for over an hour, XXXX told me the same thing that XXXX had said. After looking back through the fine print of the offer, I see that they changed the offer without notifying me of the change being different than what was offered on their website. Because of this, I've now been charged a balance transfer fee of 5 % and am also paying interest. It's very very deceptive. After researching further, I see that I'm not the only one this has happened to per consumeraffairs.com.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/24 I received an email from USAA that XXXX XXXX XXXX was added as a contact to my XXXX account and to contact them If there was an issue. I have never used XXXX in the past and contacted USAA immediately. The XXXX account is housed under my phone number and email. While on the phone I noticed another email from USAA timed XXXX minute after the first one received that a XXXX had been sent to this individual. I disputed this transaction and removed information for XXXX access and ordered new debit cards. While on the phone I received texts from USAA where someone was also attempting to use our debit card numbers. These charges were flagged as suspicious by USAA and declined. Once I arrived home I went to talk to my husband and found him on the phone with USAA also disputing the XXXX withdrawal. We pieced it together and he had called a phone number for assistance with a small disputed transaction. This number and the charge were fraudulent. My husband is XXXX XXXX XXXX and when on the phone with the perpetrator he somehow allowed a screen share for assistance and Im not exactly sure what else happened but my spouse is a victim. Hes not sure how he allowed this person access to our accounts and debit card. While on the phone with the person the XXXX transfer immediately came out. My husband then realized he was a victim of fraud. He doesnt remember exactly what he did or didnt do. He is XXXX and on multiple medications and suffers from short term memory loss. He did tell me that the person he was talking to confused him and had him doing all sorts of things on the computer. I told the second USAA rep this on the phone. I was told that this wd would be reported to the crime dept of USAA and that someone would be in contact with us. No one called at all to discuss this. I called for an update today and was told that USAA had ruled against us and that the dispute would not be reopened or appealed and was closed. They would not tell me why they determined this outcome other than we would receive a letter in the mail. Here are my concerns. XXXX. This was obviously cyber crime and elderly crime. Whether its legally considered fraud or a scam doesnt matter. My husband was targeted and victimized. XXXX. My account was not protected. From the time I was notified that a contact was added to the XXXX account to the withdrawal the lapsed time was XXXX minute. Protections were not put in place. This transfer should have been flagged because the account had never had a XXXX transaction before and the amount of XXXX is excessive for this account leaving under XXXX in it. If there had been a hold placed on the withdrawal until USAA had my consent that it was legitimate this would have been avoided. USAA flagged the debit card transactions and declined them yet no such protections are in place for XXXX payments? I request the funds to be replaced.

Consumer Complaint: I've been a USAA FSB member for 36 years. My wife has been a member 8+ years. We share a checking account with separate debit cards. My wife attempted an over-the-counter transaction on XXXX XX/XX/year> and the transaction was denied. USAA would not tell her anything ; she was 'not on the account profile '. I called USAA and was told there was no problem with the account. Subsequently our checking and savings accounts were locked and remained locked approximately 36 hours. We made numerous calls to USAA customer service and were eventually told there was one attempted fraudulent transaction in another state. We were not notified of this transaction as had been the case in the past. We also found out that USAA had blocked my debit card, without notice and without reason. The Customer Service reps do not seem to be able to do anything except read their script. I received an email from a 'Customer Advocate ' two days ago ( ten days after the accounts were blocked ) telling me that she would be in touch 'shortly ' ; I have still not been contacted by this person, nor has anyone returned any of the four voice mails I made attempting to contact her. To date ( 12 days after our cards were blocked ) we have not received replacement debit cards, which has created a significant hardship for us.

Consumer Complaint: I was alerted XXXX that there were suspicious charges on a business debit card/account. Upon receiving this information I looked into all my other accounts to see if anything else had been compromised. The only other affected account was a credit account through USAA that I had opened but never utilized and that still had a card that had never been activated or used anywhere. The account/card was added to a mobile wallet and the charge was for a high speed rail ticket in XXXX for {$49.00} on XXXX, nearly 5 months prior to my initial alert from USAA. I was never notified of this suspicious activity or charge. I contacted the fraud department on XXXX to address all issues for both accounts. I asked the representative how the information for the unused credit account could have made it into the " wild '' and if there was a breach within USAA since I was only having issues with this institution. The rep stated there was no way to know any details and that I should refrain from using bank issued cards online. Several months later while looking into another issue with USAA I came across posts/news stating that there had been a poorly handled breach at the bank that lasted 7 months from XXXX to XXXX. The breach included customers names, address, phone numbers, email address, date of birth, marital status, gender, drivers license number, last four digits of Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, including debit and credit card numbers, and PIN used to authenticate a member when they call USAA. I was never notified of this breach and have strong reason to believe it was related to the 7 month breach listed above mainly due to timing and the fact that it involved an account that had never been used in any capacity outside of the institution.

Consumer Complaint: The following letter was sent to USAA Customer Service and Executive Offices. I have contacted many employees with USAA and still await their action since the beginning of XXXX. Message sent to USAA : Good evening, I have been a USAA member since I turned XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have had so many issues with my card and account randomly freezing for the last several years, and until recently my husband and I just shared one card. I'm not sure why it's been so difficult to bank with USAA recently. On XX/XX/24, XXXX XXXX attempted to withdraw {$43.00} from my USAA checking account. They received an error message saying the account was frozen and the transaction was declined. I immediately called USAA and was told that there was an unknown log-in attempt, so a hold was put on my account. The agent advised that the account block was for my security but should not have occurred. He unblocked my account. I then went to XXXX and they said I need a letter from the bank advising of the glitch. I currently owe SEVERAL additional fees and there are several issues with my account with XXXX XXXX because of you freezing my account in error. I simply need a letter for XXXX XXXX with the following information : Your first and last name The last XXXX digits of your bank account number The last XXXX digits of your routing number An explanation of this glitch and recognition of this action being done so on the bank 's side ( relating to the error code was 'Account Frozen '. ) We are strongly considering leaving USAA. I appreciate your prompt attention to this matter and look forward to a swift resolution. Thank you for your understanding and assistance.

Hi, I spoke to a USAA bank representative named XXXX because the checking account ending in XXXX was in " credit only '' status because of a garnishment from XXXX XXXX in XXXX account number XXXX ; XXXX.
