I can no longer look at my accounts, pay bills or even deposit checks. I wonder if this is even legal. Consumer Complaint: My father passed in XXXX of 2021 of XXXX. I am the executor of his will. I have been trying to close out his checking account with USAA XXXX XXXX XXXX ) since late XXXX. I have called faxed and written letters ( certified mail ) with all the information necessary to close the account. ( I have closed all his other bank accounts using the same info ). I even had my attorney write them a letter to inquire about why we can't close the account, to no avail. I have verified with USAA that they have received the information but they will not respond any further. I finally spoke with their insurance division and cancelled his auto insurance and they assured me that someone from their survivor relations would be in contact, but nothing. Not only have I had to deal with the loss of my father but dealing with USAA 's ignoring me has led to additional frustration.

By them closing my bank account it effected my direct deposit from my job, and cause an eviction notice for me and my family. I had made some disputes because all my personal information was stolen including my SSN, and I reported the claims. But instead of USAA trying to help resolve the situation, my account was closed without any notifications or warnings.

Consumer Complaint: I was injured at work and finally received my impairment benefits through Texas workers comp. Unfortunately the insurance carrier did not submit funds to my current account and sent them to a closed account. USAA then decided it was appropriate to tell me that my account was closed and charged off, which I was never given the opportunity to remedy the situation. However they have deemed it appropriate to keep XXXX dollars of impairment benefits from a work injury which is federally protected from leins and levies. At this point I am so tired of fighting USAA for them thinking they are above the federal law and state of Texas laws about the funds they are choosing to recover. Exempt funds are exempt for a reason.

Consumer Complaint: I tried to withdraw {$200.00} from a USAA ATM at XXXX XXXX at XXXX on Monday, XX/XX/2021. The machine shorted me {$60.00} and only dispensed {$140.00}. I have an account with USAA and called the number on the ATM when I got home at XXXX and told them what happened. They were able to credit me the {$60.00} pending an investigation. A letter was posted to my account on XX/XX/2021 stating that their investigation was complete, that the correct amount was dispensed, and that the temporary credit of {$60.00} would be reversed on XX/XX/2021.
