Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2021 I deposited a XXXX check into my USAA Checking Account. The first XXXX of the deposit was made available immediately. A hold was placed on the remaining XXXX leaving my family and I stranded out of town without fuel, food, diapers or formula. XX/XX/2021 contacted USAA and requested they release the hold on the XXXX. USAA refused to release the funds and further advised they would keep the hold on the XXXX until XX/XX/2021. It would be reasonable to place a hold on a XXXX or XXXX check but it is certainly unreasonable to place a 7 day hold on XXXX for an electronic deposit that can easily be verified.

After agreeing to REMOVE the negative debt since I never applied for it, they charged it off and the collection company continues to reage the debt resale and has damaged my militaryservice record and hurt my credit. The debt is NOT mine. I have requested copies of original contract, proof of legal right to collect and proof of verification method nothing has been given to me. They continue reporting this debt year after year knowing it is not mine and continue to make threads and damages my military record and my credit.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX around XXXX XXXX. CST I deposited my wife 's paycheck into our USAA checking account via the mobile app as I've done for years. I've been a USAA customer for 10+ years and have never had a returned check. This was a pre-printed payroll check from my wife 's employer. We've deposited checks from this company for nearly a year now without issue. The paycheck was for {$800.00}. And right after depositing it, USAA informed me it was holding {$300.00} for eight days. ( Until XX/XX/XXXX XXXX. This is the second time USAA has held funds from a paycheck after 10 years of not having this issue. Upon contacting USAA, the bank informed me this was because I'd had a few overdraft fees, but those were paid within 24 hours. And again, I've never had a deposited check returned. Each one has gone through. There's no excuse to hold the funds like this when they've been instantly credited to my account for the last decade. I need those funds released to pay my rent since it's the end of the month. After many complaints with USAA and no action, I'm now forced to file an official complaint.

Consumer Complaint: I applied for forbearance prior to XX/XX/2020, with USAA. USAA accepted my forbearance request. I have a VA loan and was current when I entered forbearance. I remain in forbearance. I have had a loss claim on my home. The roof needs to be replaced due to hail damage. My insurance issued me a check to make repairs. USAA is a co-payee on the check. USAA is treating and tracking my account as a deliquent account due to the forbearance status. They will not release the insurance proceeds so that I may have the home fixed. The loan should not be characterized as deliquent provided I was current at the time I entered forbearance.

Consumer Complaint: At or Around XXXX XXXX I Call USAA and informed them that I had a Cashiers 's Check that i had drawn out in XX/XX/XXXX, Written to myself that I never deposited. and when I was ready to deposit the check it was out of date. the check stated void after 180days. So i did not deposit the check and I contacted the back. I was told at this time that they see where the check came from and it had never been deposited. They stated to me that they will send me out a new check ASAP. and all i had to do was fill out a document called " Declaration of loss and indemnification agreement. this document was signed and faxed on XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX on or about XXXX the XXXX. I call to check on the progress. At that time I was told that they only received the top sheet of my fax. which was a lie I only faxed one page with my signature. so at that time, I mailed the document to them with the original check on XX/XX/XXXX. On or about the XXXX I called again because I had a missed call from the bank. At that time I called they stated they need to verify my address. even noted I have been a customer for over 7 yrs and 5 yrs with no new address. I verified my address and I was told they did not know hen that other department will send out my check and that I would not talk to anyone from that department. at this time IT has been near to 15 days and I have not revised my check.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I purchased a vehicle I found on XXXX. The vehicle was listed by a dealership in XXXX XXXX Indiana. All pricing/delivery terms were agreed to. The selling dealership proceeded to fax in the documents required for funding. The bill of sale the dealership sent was not the original that I signed. USAA released the funds to the dealership which opened the loan in my name. The dealership committed fraud by not delivering the vehicle. I called USAA as soon as the delivery time was missed ( within a few days ) to inform them of the fraud situation and they refused to help. I uploaded the police report to USAA 's portal and requested the bank 's Fraud department to investigate and cancel the invalid loan. I have no vehicle title to send to the bank as the vehicle that was " sold '' to me actually belongs to it's rightful owner in another state. Now this open loan will show as a lien on a innocent bystander 's vehicle that has no idea of the situation. My loan contract contains a clause stating that I am giving USAA a security interest in a XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX but this clause is not met because a legitimate vehicle purchase never took place. Additionally, I understand that both USAA and the bank that received the funds ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ) have policy 's and protocols in place to protect consumers from fraud. ( Bank Secrecy Act, 31 U.S.C 5311 / FINRA Rule 3310 ) I have been a USAA customer for over 10 years and both USAA and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX failed to protect me as a consumer. I am requesting the CFPB to investigate this.

Here it is XXXX, and again a statement went to my former XXXX address. I have sent emails and street mail to USAA - they continue to ignore the fact that I now Live at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX, XXXX : thus my need to file a Complaint with CFPB.
