Consumer Complaint: I hope this note finds you well. I'm reaching out because I've noticed something weird with my credit report. For my account : Account Name : TRANSWORLD SYSTEM INC Account Number : XXXX The account referenced above is fraudulent and does not belong to me ; XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX The contract that was signed holds the signature of an individual by the name of " XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX '' Please cite the documentation uploaded to verify this as well as my driver 's license. The signature on the contract and my license do not match. I'm 100 % sure that this was a fraudulent act committed against me. I'd also like to bring to your attention that all the names referencing this account are different across all three reporting agencies along with the payment history. Thanks a bunch for looking into this. I'm looking forward to getting my credit report fixed up right.

Subissue: Attempted to collect wrong amount
Consumer Complaint: As seen in the copy of the attached Letter Re : Collection Attempt on Behalf of XXXX XXXX, dated XX/XX/XXXX ( the " Letter '' ), the attempted collection action is ( i ) inaccurate, ( ii ) fraudulent, ( iii ) time-barred, and ( iv ) illegal. First, the alleged amount owed stems from bad-faith corporate acts meant to scam customers out of money for a company 's own failings that occurred in XX/XX/XXXX. This has previously been dealt with ( see Exhibit A of the Letter ) as of XX/XX/XXXX. I had set up autopay on my electric account and they had previously billed it monthly. For some reason, they decided not to do so in XX/XX/XXXX and instead tried to hide the fact by failing to communicate with me so I incurred late fees. These acts were, at best, grossly negligent, or, at worst, intentionally fraudulent and committed in bad-faith. Either way, the Letter was sent to their collectors in XXXX and this issue was resolved at that time with no further action -- likely because they realized the illegality of their activities and the malfeasant nature of XXXX XXXX 's actions. Second, XXXX XXXX was notified of this back in XXXX and this issue had previously been resolved. Now, they have fraudulently reported that the amount was owed in XX/XX/XXXX -- a deliberate attempt to circumvent Texas law that time-bars their collection ability. Texas law time-bars collection activity after XXXX years. Accordingly, had they admitted the original date -- XX/XX/XXXX -- they would not have been allowed to report the collection item. Accordingly, they intentionally misrepresented that an amount was owed as of XX/XX/XXXX in a facially transparent attempt to circumvent the law. Third, as XXXX XXXX was previously notified and this issue was dealt with, combined with the fraudulent reporting date, this act is fraudulent and illegal on its face. Formal notice has been sent to their collector agent, XXXX. However, given the unscrupulous nature of their fraudulent activity thus far, I'm ensure all available actions are taken to get this collection amount removed from my credit report and see to it that their fraud stops.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2021, I was alerted of a collection on my credit report for an electric company known as XXXX XXXX XXXX. The collection amount was for the total of {$320.00} at the time. When I realized that I had no idea what the collection was about, I called the number provided in my credit app and call. I started a dispute where I stated that I had no idea what this was about and assumed it had been resolved in 2021. However, on XXXX XXXX, my credit was hit again by the same debt and affecting my credit again. I have no idea who this is. I was ask to make another report on here, my local law enforcement and to submit the claim to have this removed again.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a credit alert from Identity theft a company I pay to notify me about changes to my credit report. After reviewing the alert, I found that I had a debt that went to the claims at Transworld Systems Inc ( XXXX ). I contacted Transworld Systems XXXX, and they asked me for my whole social security number so that they could look up my account. I didn't provide them with my social security number, but I did provide them with my last XXXX which they indicated was the social security number used to set up the account. I asked Transworld Systems to provide me the name of the company that sent the debt to them and they said it was XXXX XXXX also known as XXXX XXXX. They would not provide me with an address or phone number, but they confirmed by phone that the name on the account which did not match my name. They also encouraged me to look up the phone number online to XXXX XXXX. They said they would initiate a fraud claim and contact XXXX XXXX so that they are aware of the dispute. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called back Transworld Systems XXXX along with a representative from Identity theft to gather additional information. I was told by Transworld Systems XXXX that the debt was accumulated in the city of XXXX, tx and they provided the address. They also provided the date when the account was opened ( XX/XX/XXXX ). On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) after looking them up online. The representative was very friendly and helpful and explained that XXXX XXXX was not a business any longer, but they were called XXXX XXXX, a company that assumed their accounts ; she looked up my account based on the information I received from Transworld Systems which was a phone number and the name of the individual they provided and confirmed the name and spelling of the individual who opened the account. The first name of the account holder does not match mine. I asked the representative for more information and paperwork. The representative said that it appeared that there wasn't a driver license or social security number used to set up the account so she couldn't provide me much information other than the account was prepaid until the individual stopped paying for the electricity service. The amount owed on the account is {$1100.00}. The company said they would have an individual reach out to me and asked me to complete a federal commissions theft report. Also to provide an electric bill between the times of the service XX/XX/XXXX - XX/XX/XXXX. They also want me to submit a police report. I received the bill by mail with someone else name on the account, the name was XXXX XXXX not XXXX XXXX. Transworld Systems XXXX said that they had my social security number on the account but the other compay XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX that there was no social security number used to set up the account. Also what was concerning was that a prepaid account owed money which would mean it was no longer a prepaid account if the service was still being provided after the prepaid funds had been used up.
