Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: To begin this is the second time this has happened to me bother times I was not notified and I had already paid my account in full. I paid this bill in full on XX/XX/XXXX for one payment of {$120.00} and another of {$110.00}. I clarified multiple times that I did not want to owe anything else and they agreed my account was paid in full for my visits. Now this week XX/XX/XXXXish I was put in collections by XXXX XXXX VIA Transworld Systems. I received no notification of this I called them Transworld said its " she cant say that XXXX made a mistake how would she know '' and my response was that she could determine that I made one though? Now my credit shows I paid the balance? But the issue is I never had a balance and this is the second time both these companies have made this mistake. I have a 100 % payment history on my credit. Then even when this is deleted it is never actually the same. So I am not sure how I should proceed being the mistakes of these companies effects my ability to buy homes and sets back my life plans.

Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I received a collection letter on XX/XX/XXXX from Transworld Systems Inc., regarding a " past due '' account balance of {$240.00} I supposedly have with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). The letter is dated XX/XX/XXXX. It provides no detail regarding the when this account balance is from or what it relates to. There is no way of verifying this information to be valid without calling XXXX and providing them with my personal information and " account number '' listed on the collection letter, since I have no current account with them. I refuse to provide them with this information with no current account. I have not had an account with XXXX since XXXX of XXXX and have received no form of correspondence from XXXX notifying me of any outstanding balance since then. It is absolutely ridiculous that I can receive a collection letter for a company I have not even had an account with in well over 3 years and no way to identify what the debt could be relating to. I find it very unethical of XXXX and Transworld Systems to attempt to collect a debt without providing any information regarding when and where the debt is from or any way to confirm its validity ( I don't believe it to be ). I am attaching a picture of the letter I received, for reference. I hope the CFPB can assist me in resolving this, so as not to negatively affect my credit score. Thank you.

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: I co-signed for only two ( 2 ) student loans for my friend XXXX XXXX XXXX. XXXX sent us two ( 2 ) letters on XX/XX/XXXX confirming that on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX had received final payments for both loans ( loan # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and loan # XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ). XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX by their attorneys XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX sued me in XX/XX/XXXX and obtained a default judgment against me for an unpaid student loan. The process server swore to an untruthful Affidavit of Service. There was no one named " XXXX '' or anyone fitting the description provided by the process server ever living at my home. I took out an Order to Show Cause to vacate the default judgment based on improper service and also based on the meritorious defense that the loans were already paid. To my surprise XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is opposing my motion to vacate the default judgment by declaring that I did not satisfy the loans. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is putting the burden on me to prove that the two ( 2 ) Navient loans paid off in XX/XX/XXXX are the same loan ( s ) that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX obtained the default judgment for. This is a " catch XXXX '' because XXXX has not been able to provide me with the original loan applications or promissory notes for the two ( 2 ) paid loans and as a result, I can not prove that the application and promissory notes that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has submitted to the Court are one and the same. Since I only co-signed for two ( 2 ) loans for my friend XXXX XXXX XXXX there can be no other loans with both of our names on the loans. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX is being so aggressive in their collection of this default judgment that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX will not even consent to vacate the judgment and allow me time to somehow gather the evidence. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX instead wishes to continue garnishing my wages rather than address and resolve this dispute on the merits. Especially in light of the fact that I was not served to appear in Court in XXXX as required by law, to continue garnishing and refusing to consent to vacate the default judgment shows that XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX has learned nothing from their past problems with CFPB. Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: The original account was with XXXX however, it was sold twice so how can XXXX continue to update my account with inaccurate information. The account was settled and paid to Nationwide Credit in 3 installments of {$180.00} each. XXXX continues to mark me late when I was making payments. The installments were made on XX/XX/XXXX ( I was marked late ), XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ( Continued to mark me late ). Why is XXXX continuing to mark my account to the credit reporting bureaus as late when they no longer own the account. XXXX reported my account as a charged off therefore, it should be reported as {$0.00} balance and no data. They continued to report it as late and while the account was paid and settled with Nationwide they updated my account as late. This account needs to be deleted for inaccurately reporting my data wrong. Does XXXX own my account still or does Nationwide Credit?

Consumer Complaint: I never received anything from XXXX XXXX XXXX apartments. Now I see Transworld Systems is reporting this issue on my credit file. I did a dispute to the credit bureaus and a direct letter to Transworld Systems asking for validation. The bureaus mailed me that Transworld verified as accurate, but no response from Transworld. I asked for validation of the {$2800.00} current balance amount. An itemized statement showing all charges and fees. The date when I vacated the apartment. A list of any damages. Plus according to Ky. Rev. Stat. Ann. 383.670, I would like to know what steps were taken to re-rent the unit to limit my exposure to additional rent costs?
