Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: TSI is the latest perpetrator of this scam adding false information to my credit report. I successfully get this removed. Then 5,6 or 7 months later it reappears. With new dates so as to have the most impact on my credit report. A practice I have come to understand is called rebirthing. Is this legal?

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of XXXX I suddenly started getting billing statements from University Accounting Services. This is in regard to a loan I took out from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( a now defunct company ) in XXXX. I had last paid on the account in XXXX of XXXX. I had heard nothing from XXXX XXXX XXXX or any of the subsequent owners or servicers of this debt until now in terms of debt collection. The attempts by University Accounting Service violate Minnesota debt collection law as the statute of limitations to collect on this loan was under Minnesota law 6 years from the date of last payment or XX/XX/XXXX as the last payment made by me on the account was on XX/XX/XXXX. During the near decade since they had last communicated with me, I have lived at the address I had in XXXX as well as two subsequent addresses including my current address that I have resided at for four years. These addresses are in three different counties within the State of Minnesota.

Consumer Complaint: I disputed the fraudulent account XXXX XXXX put on my report with XXXX and they are obligated to investigate and contact the creditor. They gave me a result of this meets FCRA etc this is not my account. I have never used this company before and I believe my social security has been stolen, or the company made a mistake. This needs to be fixed immediately. XXXX had already removed this from my credit report. I dont think XXXX even investigated this dispute. What address was used for the electric service? Consumer Complaint: The week of XX/XX/2020 I rented a vehicle with XXXX XXXX from their XXXX XXXX office. The amount of the rental according to the reservation was {$290.00}. However, without disclosing the extra fee, the clerk added an extra driver ( who never drove the car ). She tacked on the surcharge of {$100.00} without showing me the charges or offering me a receipt. I never signed for these charges nor saw a receipt until returning the vehicle. Upon inspecting the document XXXX claims I allegedly signed, the signature does not match any known signature of mine. I was suspicious that XXXX XXXX XXXX had engaged in fraudulent activity and contacted my credit card, XXXX, to partially dispute the charge ( I was happy to pay the amount for which I had reserved the vehicle ). I sent documents showing that my signature did not match on the higher charge as well as photographs of the paper receipt I was given ( the only docuemtn ) showing the original charge of {$290.00}. XXXX agreed that this activity was duplicitous and partially charged back the fee. XXXX requested payment for the remaining amount in early XXXX. Using the FTC 's suggested letter for disputing a charge and seeking an investigation, I wrote a letter and provided documentation as I did in the XXXX dispute. This letter and packet of information was mailed via certified mail to XXXX 's billing department on XX/XX/2020, for which I have a receipt. I never received a response from XXXX via mail as I believe is required by the FTC. Instead, I received notice in a letter dated XX/XX/2020 that XXXX had sent the debt to be collected by XXXX Debt Collection agency, having not sent the required response to me concerning my right to investigate the debt and fraudulent activity I reported.

Consumer Complaint: Transworld system 's XXXX DE XXXX without any notice put XXXX collection on all three credit beauros. I called them they failed to know much except they bought the debt from original creditor and I was living in XXXX in XX/XX/2016 not on XXXX XXXX in XXXX tx. This is all they could give me. Refused to give me any verified Information about account XXXX. They admitted not having a contract with me and not having proof I gave them consent to have my private information. They were noticed they committed identify theft extorting me for money and harmed me putting it on my credit report without proper notice of me owing them any kind of debt. Basically said pay it or sue us knowing it would cost more than XXXX to sue to get it off my report. Original creditor is supposed to be direct energy and I used first choice on XXXX XXXX never lived on XXXX XXXX. They failed to verify I had lived there as well. Texas statute of limitations says 4 years to collect a debt. I informed them they are breaking statute of limitations they didnt care as well.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2109, we had my daughter t the hospital. She is almost 2. The hospital sent bills, over and over with one listed as a XXXX. I called the hospital and talked to their financial people and they told me they didn't see that charge. I told them I have multiple prints of the bill with the XXXX listed. They told me they don't see that. I asked them to send me a bill with all the itemized amounts. They never did that. I tried to dispute it with the credit organization and nothing came from it. But, they did send me the medical bills and there WAS a bill with the XXXX that didn't happen.

Consumer Complaint: Transworld is reporting medical records to credit bureaus ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) I found out onXXXX20 that the accounts have not been in there office for a couple of months but they are still reporting them to the credit bureaus as of the have them. I called and ask them to be removed from all of 3 credit bureaus they told me that they couldnt unless the original creditor ask them to but they down have the collection in there office any more. I asked why are they reporting the collections to the credit bureaus if they no longer have the debt they informed me its because the original creditor has to tell them to stop. I told them under the fcra guidelines they are reporting false misrepresentation under 15 USC Section 1692E. I called the credit bureaus to have them pull it off my credit reports because thats misinformation they told me they cant ... .. when I know they can.
