Consumer Complaint: XXXX sent me to a collection company called Transworld Inc. I not only never used this company, but had no idea what they even offered. They found something owed for an address in Minnesota. Ive never lived or even been to that state. I did get it resolved thankfully. I did pay a debt collection from XXXX whom I did not have service with and they asked me why I paid it as they had nothing saying I owed them. These scams are horrible and Im writing to say please do something!!!! A company should have to have at minimum a signed certified letter before sending you to debt collection! Please fix these scams!

Consumer Complaint: Dear Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, I am writing to bring to your attention a severe and ongoing violation of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) by Transworld Systems. Despite providing a police report, FTC affidavit, and proof of residency during the alleged creation of the account, Transworld Systems continues to attempt collection on an account resulting from identity theft. On my last CFPB transworld completely ignores the documentation I provided such as my FTC affidavit, police report, ID, proof of residency during the alleged account was created and still requested the same documentation in their repost to my complaint # XXXX. Its obvious transworld system does not care about the law and only cares about harassing people and violating their rights. They did not validate the debt all theyve done was provided a bill which is not enough in accordance to the law. This is a clear infringement of the following FCRA provisions : 1. **Section 1681s-2 ( b ) - Accuracy and Integrity of Information** : Transworld Systems has failed to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the data by persisting in collecting on a debt resulting from identity theft, despite documented evidence proving the illegitimacy of the account. 2. **Section 1681b - Permissible Purposes of Consumer Reports** : The debt collector has not adequately validated the debt, even in the face of official documentation, including a police report, an FTC affidavit , and proof of residency during the creation of the alleged account. 3. **Section 1681c - Requirements Relating to Information Furnished by CRA to Consumers** : Transworld Systems has continued to report inaccurate information, ignoring the evidence provided and perpetuating the harm to my credit report. Immediate Action Required : I demand that Transworld Systems cease all attempts to collect on this identity theft account immediately. Furthermore, I insist on the immediate and irrevocable removal of all information related to this debt from my credit report within 15 days from the receipt of this letter. Failure to comply may result in legal action, as Transworld Systems can be fined under the FCRA for willfully reporting inaccurate information to my credit report. I expect swift action to rectify this ongoing violation of my rights. Thank you for your urgent attention to this matter. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was paid
Consumer Complaint: Transworld Systems Inc. is trying to collect on a debt for XXXX XXXX. I used to live at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX in XXXX XXXX, CA and I moved out in XX/XX/XXXX. Initially, XXXX had tried to charge me for the cable boxes but I proved I returned them and paid my balance in full in XX/XX/XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX, Transworld Systems has tried to collect the debt by phone from a number that does not verify who they are and because I was a victim of identity theft multiple times I wouldn't give them my date of birth, address or the last 4 of my social security number unless they told me what they had and I would verify if it was correct or not. Initially, they would refuse and I refused to give them my personal information. My response was always to send me correspondence through the mail and I would call them back after I received it. I never got the correspondence probably because I hadn't lived at that address for almost 3 years and my mail forwarding from the post office had long expired. After numerous harassing calls from them, I finally agreed to give them partial information based on the understanding that if I provided the correct information they would tell me why they were harassing me. Once they told me that XXXX XXXX said I owed them money I informed the lady to call me back next week and in the interim, I would go to the XXXX office that I returned my equipment to and straighten everything out. When I went to the XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX ( which since I had long moved out of the area and was 120+ miles from where I lived ) I was informed by the XXXX representative that I had paid my outstanding balance with them in XXXX and I did not owe them any money. The lady from Transworld Systems called me back I explained to her that XXXX said that my bill had been paid long ago and she still insisted that I had an outstanding balance and that if I didn't pay it, Transworld Systems would take legal action and I told her that I was done talking to her and hung up. I have not had any further interaction with Transworld Systems until they placed collection accounts on my credit report. Once I was notified by XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX that the collection accounts were negatively affecting my pristine credit record, I called Transworld Systems I was told that even if I paid the debt it would still appear on my credit report. I informed them that I would have my attorney take care of this and he informed me to take this step prior to initiating any legal actions. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX with severe XXXX XXXX ( I have XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX ) and I don't need the added stress from a collection company. My health is my top priority and I don't need to be arguing with debt collectors about something I do not owe! For the record, it is my belief that Transworld Services bought old XXXX debts for pennies on the dollar and they now own the debt and want to get money anyway they can.

Consumer Complaint: TSI Solutions, or Trans World XXXX, has taken liberties with the slow moving wheels of our civil jurisprudence system. They customarily violate consumer protection laws knowing consumers will suffer adverse reporting while cases wait on lengthy dockets. Here, they are initiating collections efforts on a debt that has not passed yet from the original creditor. I settled the debt with the creditor, evidenced here, then awaited final invoice. The original creditor is XXXX XXXX, a XXXX XXXX. " Good afternoon, XXXX XXXX, I want to apologize for the delayed response regarding the early termination waiver. We are still honoring our agreement for the early termination fee. We normally do not waive the early termination fee prior to receiving final payment. However, we were able to receive approval to waive the early termination fee at this time. As previously discussed, this will leave a balance of {$280.00}. Once we received confirmation that the early termination fee is waived off the account we will advise when the new bill will be generated. '' Notwithstanding my swift turnaround of notice, TSI called my office twice, as if attempting to avoid my availability by disregarding my note of hours, then a third time on Saturday, XXXX. I thankfully answered and a highly disrespectful man insisted I validate information on a personal business matter. I did so knowing who it was. Then, abruptly, the man stated he would call back tomorrow without giving a reason. I asked if he could explain but the man hung up immediately. I acknowledged with XXXX, or XXXX, that a negotiated balance was due. I further agreed to remit. There is a delay in processing payment to XXXX. However there is XXXX justification for TSI to insert themselves. It should be noted that TSI has formerly attempted collection twice on fraudulent, time-barred debts for pay day loans proven to be both uncollectable and at least XXXX years out of the statute of limitations. I had no knowledge of these accounts, they agreed to remove the accounts, then apologized. Yet 6 months later, TSI returned with a letter attempting again to collect. It would be prudent to note TSI has stated forthright their inability and unwillingness to comply with state law in writing. I hold these letters as evidence in a former complaint. Consumers and creditors alike must actively avoid TSI as significant losses are undoubtedly occurring as these novice, aggressive, haphazard efforts to collect frivolous and in my case fraudulent debt have also harmed their creditors reputations in selecting them as intermediary, or final enforcement of debt. They are best known for exploiting tribal lenders under tribal jurisdictions and acting as purveyors of false compliance rules. They misrepresent the law, rules, and in fact, lower the bar for a highly challenging customer facing community charged with a difficult task. I will absolutely not work with XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) as they are highly risky, unknowledgable in their trade, unsafe with sensitive data, and the subject of intense civil and potential XXXX conduct. Caution to XXXX XXXX in future use.
