Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple 3 Credit Bureaus Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureaus and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I have a collection for a utility that recently was added to my account. I have no idea what this collection is for so I disputed it. The dispute apparently came back as me owing the debt. I tried to call the phone number for the company listed as holding the collection account. The company name is Transworld Systems. When I called the line it was some new company called XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX. They said they are located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, Utah XXXX. The number I called was XXXX. When someone answered they said the company phone number had been changed and they are a new company offering me a {$100.00} voucher when I provide them some additional information. They said they would not give me the new number to find out about my debt unless I gave them this information. I said I did not want to sign up for anything and only wanted to speak with someone to find out more about my supposed debt. They kept saying the same thing over and over about how I had to give them my info and they would give me the new number after. When I threatened to call the consumer protection bureau she gave me a number and when I called it was a general XXXX info line. This account is being reported on my credit but I dont know what it is and there is no way for me to remedy or clear this from my credit report. It seems unconscionable and probably illegal to refuse to let someone even discuss a bill unless they sign up for more things.
