Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: I received their letter dated XX/XX/2021. Theyve made an error. I do not want their business! I refuse their claim, deny their claim, and submit for fraud any business claims they alleged because we have no business relationship. Per the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, I request them to cease and desist all collection activity including contacting me via phone, any negative reporting to the credit bureaus, filing fraudulent judgments, and are therefore barred from selling assigning or transferring any and all data regarding this account to any other party, subsidiary, or affiliate. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: This debt collection has been going on for many years, at least 10, if not 11 or 12. It was a debt that was incurred by myself, and my ex wife. We did indeed incur this debt together, but the debt collectors have placed 100 % responsibility on me only. I'm not sure why I am solely responsible for this. It also keeps incurring massive interest. I do not know what to do anymore. I am now a retired 100 % XXXX veteran. I am hoping that this can help me.

Consumer Complaint: I have a collection for a medical debt from TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC on my credit report that originally appeared in XX/XX/XXXX. They have never attempted to contact me in regards to this debt, yet it continues to accrue interest. I have attempted to call them a few times over the last year or so, but never was able to reach anyone. I filed a dispute with the various credit agencies last year ( XXXX ), and it was removed from two of the agencies. However, XXXX sent a validation request to TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC to confirm the debt. I received something in the mail, but it did not contain any account information or any other information about how to resolve the debt, only that the debt existed. To this day I still have not received any communication from TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC. I have not received anything in the mail, and I have not received any phone calls or voicemails from TRANSWORLD SYSTEMS INC. It seems very shady to place a collection on someone's credit file, but then not contact them so that the debt continues to accrue interest.

Consumer Complaint: We opened a merchant account with XXXX XXXX XXXX back in XXXX, XXXX, And after opening the account we noticed that XXXX is only a middleman between us ( merchants ) and another merchant provider called XXXX ( the new name of this merchant provider now is XXXX ). We had no problems and our business was doing fine and stable, after few weeks we scaled our business and we start getting more sales, and suddenly we received a call from XXXX claiming that our account is under review, and this review took more than 2 weeks, after that they took a reserve of more than {$20000.00} ( in this stage I was calling them everyday with no answers from the risk department [ I mean XXXX risk team, since XXXX was not involved in these issue for some reason ] that they claim is the right department that can provide details about the hold and the reserve ), and that means XXXX did all that without any formal communication. Note : during this entire period of the review, they were collecting fees from my bank account. After few days the account was closed [ on XX/XX/XXXX ] and because of that I was out of business permanently, and I was surprised when I got a call from XXXX claiming that I owe them this amount. I requested XXXX and XXXX to explain why I owe them this amount, since the statements [ see attached ] that I received after the account closed were not showing this numbers. But no explanation was provided. I called the XXXX customer support ( since XXXX didn't have any info ) to ask about the reserved balance that was held before the account closed, and after I got connected with a lady who explained that they still have a reserve balance of more than {$14000.00}, and she stated that I will receive a check to my address with this amount, witch I never received. And today I got a letter from a collection agency regarding this matter, asking me to pay this debt. That I am still waiting an explanation for it from XXXX and XXXX. XXXX Thank you

Consumer Complaint: I attempted to purchase an item from XXXX. I received an email that the item had been shipped, but I never received the item. I contacted the company regarding the issue and they told me that they could not assist me due to the item being shipped. I made 2 payments on the item, but never received it. Unfortunately, I am now receiving collection notices regarding the item that was never received. I am not responsible for paying for an item I never took possession of. I have all email correspondence from the company.

Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Trouble with how payments are being handled
Consumer Complaint: My XXXX XXXX XXXX student loan was set to come out of forebearance and begin repayment on XX/XX/XXXX. The current servicer of this loan is University Accounting Services ( UAS ). I made my first call to UAS on XXXX, since I noticed on the first bill they sent me the first payment was for the full amount of interest in the amount of {$1200.00}. I asked them to add that on to my principal balance because I could not afford that kind of payment all at once. The team lead I spoke with assured me that they had to look into this but would get back to me within one week. On XX/XX/XXXX, I wrote them an e-mail to follow up since I had heard nothing, again the response was we are still working on it. I have since heard nothing despite contacting them again on XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and today XX/XX/XXXX. They claim that XXXX XXXX XXXX the original creditor has to make this decision and has not gotten back to them, they both have literally had almost 5 months to respond to my request. My concern is they are reporting this to the credit bureaus as late or past due or not paying as agreed, which will then negatively affect my credit scores. I am fine payinig what I owe within a reasonable monthly payment, but I can not afford to make a {$1200.00} payment all at once. We are in the middle of a pandemic and inflation is quite crazy for basic things like rent, food and gas. This is poor service from both XXXX XXXX XXXX and University Accounting Services. I need a resolution ASAP.

Consumer Complaint: Not only do I not know what debt they are referring to, or what it is for, they have violated my rights as a consumer. Pursuant to the FDCPA, specifically 15 USC 1692g, it states : Within 5 days after the initial communication with a consumer in connection with a collection of any debt, a debt collector SHALL, unless the following information is contained in the initial communication or the consumer has paid the debt, send the consumer written notice containing the - ( 1 ) the amount of the debt ; ( 2 ) the name of the creditor to whom the debt is owed ; ( 3 ) a statement that unless the consumer, within 30 days after receipt of the notice, disputes the validity of the debt, or any portion thereof, the debt will be assumed valid by the debt collector ; ( 4 ) a statement that if the consumer notifies the debt collector in writing within the thirty_day period that the debt, or any portion thereof, is disputed, the debt collector will obtain verification of the debt and ( 5 ) a statement that, upon the consumers request with the thirty-day period, the debt collector will provide the consumer with the name and address of the original creditor, if different from the current creditor. This company has not provided 3-5 and therefore, is in violation of the law. Not only did they not include it on the initial communication, they failed to send it within the 5 days. This is a clear violation of the law and is not equitable or fair to me, the consumer, in which they are claiming the deb is owed.

Consumer Complaint: A letter was received on XX/XX/2021 by Transworld Systems Inc. requesting validation of debt. They responded with medical records, a DIRECT violation of HIPPA regulations. These documents had procedures and/or medications received. I NEVER signed a HIPPA form authorizing access to any such medical records.

Issue: Took or threatened to take negative or legal action
Subissue: Threatened or suggested your credit would be damaged
Consumer Complaint: This company has sent me these two different documents In response to my CFPB complain # XXXX " in the attached document shows two different companies one I have never heard of until I saw them reporting on my credit. Which means I've never contracted with this company they have nothing with my Pen-indented wet ink signature .... no contract means I owe them nothing they are violating I have disputed this account information as inaccurate ( never lived at the address ), and you have come back to me and stated you were able to verify this debt. How is this possible? Under the laws of the FDCPA, I have contacted the collection agency myself and have been unable to get them to verify that this is indeed my debt. I enclose copies of my requests to the collection agency, asking them to validate my debts, and the receipts showing that I sent these letters certified signature request. This debt is not mine and I was given no evidence of my obligation to pay this debt to this collection agency. The FCRA requires you to verify the validity of the item within 30 days. If the validity can not be verified, you are obligated by law to remove the item. There is a clear case of unverified debt here, and I urge you to remove this item before I am forced to take legal action. In the event that you can not verify the item pursuant to the FCRA, and you continue to list the disputed item on my credit report I will find it necessary to sue you for actual damages and declaratory relief under the FCRA. According to this regulation, I may sue you in any qualified state or federal court, including small claims court in my area. While I prefer not to litigate, I will use the courts as needed to enforce my rights under the FCRA.
