Consumer Complaint: I recently filed a complaint via CFPB in regards to TSI ( Transworld Systems Inc. ) furnishing information on my credit report. I researched and it appears the original creditor is XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX. Now, TSI responded and said they received information to VALIDATE my alleged debt, to which they send yet another bill with itemized numbers and information that does not solve the solution. Question, how did you VERFIY ( not validate ) this alleged debt? Because according to 15 usc 1692 ( g ) ( 4 ) when a debt collector is notified that an debt is disputed, the debt collector is SUPPOSED to obtain VERFICATION, not validation of the said debt. YOU ( TSI ) responded with " validation information ''. This alone, is a violation. Secondly, how did you get the address that is listed? It seems to me you have infringed upon someone's privacy ( identity theft ), aka personal data to retrieve such information. Hopefully, YOU ( TSI ) didn't send " validation information '' to a household that is unknown to any party, because that surely increases the chances of identity theft and that would be in violation of 15 usc 1692 ( f ) ( 7 ) ( 8 ). The address that is stated on the " validation information '' pdf belongs to someone who lives in a house ( XXXX search ). See how easy that was to send unwanted strangers to a particular place. I have NEVER OWNED a house in my life. On XX/XX/2021, TSI removed this account off of my credit report, then chose to furnish it once again, that reported on XX/XX/2021, causing a derogatory mark to hit my report and also a decrease in points on my credit score. YOUR ( TSI ) collections practices have been used to slander my name and ruin my reputation and according to 15 usc 1692 ( d ) a debt collector may not engage in any conduct the NATURAL consequence of which is to harass, OPPRESS, or abuse any person in connection with the collection of a debt.

Consumer Complaint: I received an invoice from XXXX ( Invoice # XXXX, attached XXXX Customs Invoice '' ) for duties collected regarding an item purchased overseas ( Seller : XXXX XXXX XXXX, Country of Seller : XXXX ). This item was found to be defective upon arrival ( see attached " XXXX XXXX supporting emails '' ). Subsequently, the item was returned back to sender and my purchase was refunded by the Seller ( see attached XXXX return invoice and " XXXX Refund for XXXX 55-135 '' ). Under 19 C.F.R. 158.12, Customs should reduce the declared value to reflect the latent defects and adjusted value that the shipper noted on the return invoice. I notified XXXX customs department of this issue on XX/XX/XXXX and to ask for a reduction of duty charges. I received a response from the XXXX XXXX broker 230 days later on XX/XX/XXXX stating they could not defer the duty payment. I contacted the XXXX XXXX broker to request a drawback on XXXXas instructed by XXXX XXXX and Tax customer service representative and Drawback Specialist at US XXXX ( see forwarded email below ). I have not heard a response back from them as of XX/XX/XXXX. Due to the value of the returned item was XXXX Euro, which was stipulated by the seller, the duty collected on import should be {$24.00} in accordance with the exchange rate on XX/XX/XXXX ( HTS XXXX is XXXX Euro and XXXX XXXX is XXXX Euro ). I requested a drawback from XXXX multiple times the last of which was XX/XX/XXXX. I have not heard a response as of XX/XX/XXXX. I have saved emails of my attempts to contact the various entities within XXXX customs/duty to resolve this issue.

Consumer Complaint: I had spoken with representatives multiple times and made it very clear I could not afford to pay this debt unless it would be removed from the credit bureaus. First agent explained that upon payment it would be DELETED was then transferred to another rep to take payment. To verify, i again asked the debt would be removed. They said no it would not but only be updated to paid. This does not help me as I am trying to get into a mortgage transaction. The agent lied by saying it would increase my score. This is TOTALLY FALSE AND MISLEADING INFORMATION. I thanked them for their time and explained that I did not have the funds to spare if the debt would not be removed from the credit bureaus. The next time I called the agents again were well aware of my situation and my stance. It was heavily implied that the account would be removed as the agent told me he would have the supervisor make an exception for me. I felt confident that the agent was kind and sympathetic and was going to help me out. This is the ONLY reason I made the payment under the assumption that the account would be removed.

Consumer Complaint: Be advised this is not a refusal to pay, but a notice sent pursuant to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, 15 USC 1692g stating your claim is disputed and validation is requested. This is NOT a request for verification or proof of my mailing address, but a request for VALIDATION made pursuant to the above-named Title and Section. I respectfully request your offices provide me with competent evidence that I have any legal obligation to pay you. At this time, I will also inform you that if your offices have reported invalidated information to any of the 3 major credit bureaus ( XXXX XXXX or XXXX ) this action may constitute fraud under both Federal and State Laws. Consumer Complaint: Starting around early XXXX myself and my boyfriend began receiving calls from a number marked as " Account Services '' on caller ID. Once I understood that they were debt collectors from Trans World Systems Inc I told them to stop calling my boyfriend. They said they would and even put me on hold under the pretence that they were removing his number from my account. They did not stop calling him though and have called him numerous times since then. I am filing a complaint because, according to a representative from the cfpb, who I spoke to on XX/XX/XXXX, they are not allowed to repeatedly call someone other than myself in regards to my debt, especially being that my boyfriend is not related to me or legally bound to me. He and I feel harassed by Trans World Systems Inc 's repeated calls to him. We are also frustrated that they continue to call after I asked them not to and they told me they would. Additionally, when I answer calls from this company they quickly transfer me to another call center, and the person who answers there always asks me why I am calling them... this is extremely frustrating as I am routinely transferred around from call center to call center. This business practice makes them come across as scammers and when they first started calling me I was unable to figure out what the call was even about. I was wary to provide them with any of the identifying information they asked for as this business practice seemed suspect and I was concerned about identity theft. This led me to have a prolonged debt, which likely hurt my credit score further and led me to feel afraid and threatened.

Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days

Consumer Complaint: University Accounting Service, During the time my loan was in deferment I was reported to the credit bureaus that was late on payments. I had to call the company and straighten it out each time. I had to dispute this through the credit bureaus because they took forever to correct this issue. This would happen XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and now again XX/XX/XXXX. I am making a complain now because I started paying on my loans in XXXX and was current. My mother the cosigner is in the process of purchasing a property. I called immediately to rectify this with the company to say I am current and this needs to be fixed immediately because you are going to cost my mother a loan. The customer service stated that he didnt see that they reported anything on my account, I had to take a screen shot of my credit and send it to him proving that they did report a 30 day late on my credit. My mothers credit went down 90 points. I have been calling for updates and keeps getting the run around. Its almost been a month and still no change.
