Consumer Complaint: The Reporting agencies did not comply and did not verify any Permissible Purpose, UNDER 15 USC CODE 1681. **RE : IDENTITY THEFT COMPLAINT - OPT-OUT VIOLATION AND UNAUTHORIZED FURNISHING** XXXX XXXX Account number XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number XXXX '' XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Account Number XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Dear TransUnion, XXXX, and XXXX, I am writing to file a formal complaint against your agencies for violations related to identity theft and non-compliance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) in connection with accounts furnished by XXXX XXXX and XXXX. **Incident Details : ** 1. **Opt-Out Notice : ** On XXXX XXXX XXXX I submitted an Opt-Out letters to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, clearly rescinding all verbal and non-verbal written consent to furnish my consumer information on my credit report. These notices were in accordance with the provisions of 15 U.S. Code 6802. 2. **Identity Theft : ** XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX despite receiving my legal notice, willfully ignored my instructions and proceeded to sell the account to XXXXXXXX XXXX and XXXX for collections. This action constitutes identity theft under 15 U.S. Code 1681, as they continued to furnish information without permissible purpose. XXXX. **Failure to Block Information : ** XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX TransUnion XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX violated 15 U.S. Code 1681c2 by failing to block the reporting of information that resulted from the alleged identity theft, within the stipulated time frame. **Legal Violations : ** 1. **15 U.S. Code 6802 - Obligations with respect to disclosures of personal information : ** - XXXX XXXX and XXXX failed to comply with my Opt-Out notice, resulting in unauthorized furnishing of my information. 2. **15 U.S. Code 1681 - Identity Theft : ** - XXXX XXXX and XXXX engaged in identity theft by willfully ignoring my legal notice and selling the account for collections. 3. **15 U.S. Code 1681c2 - Block of information resulting from identity theft : ** - XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX TransUnion XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX failed to block information identified as resulting from alleged identity theft within the mandated time frame. **Requested Actions : ** 1. **Immediate Removal : ** I request the immediate removal of the accounts related to the identity theft from my credit reports by TransUnion XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX. 2. **Investigation : ** I urge your agencies to conduct a thorough investigation into the actions of XXXXXXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX and your respective roles to determine the extent of identity theft and FCRA violations. 3. **Penalties : ** If the investigation confirms identity theft and FCRA violations, I request the imposition of appropriate penalties against XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX TransUnion XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX to ensure accountability and deter similar actions in the future. 4. **Compensatory Damages : ** In lieu of immediate removal, I request compensatory damages of {$1000.00} for every day that the account has been on my credit report, as allowed by law.
