Consumer Complaint: I am writing to formally file a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) against TransUnion for its repeated failure to respond and investigate the discrepancies on my credit report. Despite multiple attempts to dispute inaccurate information, I have not received a satisfactory resolution from TransUnion. The items in question that I have been disputing are as follows : XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX NY XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX NY XXXX XXXX XXXX Additionally, I have been disputing inaccurate names and addresses listed on my credit report. My attempts to address these issues with TransUnion have been met with minimal response. For your reference, I have sent disputes to TransUnion on the following dates : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX. To date, the only response I have received from TransUnion was dated XX/XX/XXXX, which stated, " We recently received a request that included your information, but it didn't appear that you or a properly authorized third party sent it to us. We take the privacy and security of your data very seriously, so we won't process requests unless they come directly from you or an authorized third party. '' The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) explicitly mandates that if the completeness or accuracy of any item of information in a consumer 's file is disputed, the credit bureau must conduct a reasonable reinvestigation to determine accuracy. TransUnion 's failure to undertake a reasonable investigation upon receipt of my dispute is a violation of my consumer rights under the FCRA. Consumer Complaint: im Writing t consumer reporting agencies ( Transunion XXXX, XXXX ) of a formal complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX I've included the Cfpb case number XXXX and a copy of my opt out letter I am writing to file a formal complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX regarding their unauthorized sharing of my nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties and consumer reporting agencies. I have taken appropriate steps to exercise my rights under 15 USC 6802 of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ( GLBA ) to opt out of such information sharing, and I believe my privacy rights have been violated. On XX/XX/2024, I notified XXXX XXXX XXXX that I am opting out of any and all authorizations, whether written, unwritten, verbal, or non-verbal, for the sharing of my nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties, including consumer reporting agencies, for any purpose other than those necessary to provide me with financial products or services.
