Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Public record information inaccurate
Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I pulled a XXXX Credit Bureau Report to check my credit as I do every year. I noticed that there was a Public Record listed on my TransUnion credit report, showing a Bankruptcy. This XXXX XXXX is ONLY showing on TransUnion. I was very alarmed as I have never filed for a bankruptcy. I sent a letter to TransUnion utilizing the dispute process granted to me by the FCRA. TransUnion responded that the public record account was verified. I then sent a letter to the source of the information that was on my TransUnion credit report showing the information about the account was obtained from the Bankruptcy XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. This is clearly listed on TransUnion report as the source of the information being reported on my credit report. The letter was mailed and received by the Bankruptcy XXXX XXXX XXXX I am attaching a copy of this letter to this CFPB complaint. The Bankruptcy Court responded that they DO NOT verify any information to any of the credit bureaus, and that the information must have come from a different source. TransUnion is stating directly on my credit report that the information was supplied by a XXXX. According to the letter from the Court, I then sent a letter to the XXXX party source that TransUnion uses asking them to send me my consumer file as I was disputing a Public Record on my TransUnion credit report that is not mine. XXXX sent me letters dated XX/XX/XXXX. I am attaching all documentation to this complaint. Letters dated XX/XX/XXXX from XXXX clearly show that the incorrect information was disputed and XXXX was unable to verify the information. They provided me with the findings pursuant to Section 609 of the FCRA. The documents provided show they deleted the incorrect information from their files. I have attached all documents to this complaint. I then sent a letter to TransUnion, along with the letter from the XXXX and letters from XXXX. TransUnion sent a letter back to me date of issue of XX/XX/XXXX. I am attaching it to this complaint. It again shows that TransUnion did not delete the information from my credit report and it again stated that TransUnion didnt complete the investigation because they had already looked into it and again listed the source of the information as the Bankruptcy XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX ID XXXX. I relocated to CA and again I pulled my annual credit report it STILL showed that I had a public record only on TransUnion. I then submitted a letter dated XXXX directly to the source of information directly from my TransUnion credit report the address of the court. I am inclosing a copy of the letter to this complaint. In a letter dated XXXX, the XXXX responded to my letter stating they DO NOT report any information to any of the credit bureaus. In a letter dated XXXX, I submitted a dispute letter demanding the public record appearing on my credit report be removed as it is not mine, directly to TransUnion along with the letter from the XXXX and my identification documents. In a letter dated XXXX, TransUnion responded that NO CHANGE NEEDED and again in writing shows that TransUnion verified the inaccurate information directly with the court at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX TransUnion is clearly violating the FCRA and is liable for damages I have sustained from them not removing inaccurate information from my credit report. I have been unable to gain credit due to this unlawful reporting. I am demanding that TransUnion remove the public record from my credit report immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Wednesday XX/XX/ Dear CFPB employees, Subject : Complaint - Request for Proof of Late Payment under 15 USC 1666b To Whom It May Concern : I am writing to file a formal complaint against XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX regarding a disputed late payment on my consumer report. I have requested proof from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Director of Compliance and XXXX XXXX CEO, that the payments were indeed late based on the specifications of 15 USC 1666b, but they have failed to provide the required information. I am a diligent consumer who is well aware of my rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and other applicable consumer financial protection laws. I recently corresponded with XXXX XXXX, specifically with XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX, regarding the late payments that they have listed on my consumer report. I requested in good faith the necessary documents to prove that the information required by section 1666b of 15 USC was mailed out or delivered 21 days before the payment due date. However, they have not provided any evidence or documentation to support their claim of a late payment. I assert that according to the law, a creditor can not treat a payment as late without complying with the stipulations outlined in 15 USC 1666b. I have not received proof of such compliance. This refusal by XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX to provide the requested information is a clear violation of section 15 USC 1681a ( 2 ) ( A ) ( i ) of the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) and section 15 USC 1666b & 1637 ( b ) of the applicable title. I hereby demand that XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX provide the required information and proof of the alleged late payment within 10 calendar days from the receipt of this complaint. Any correspondence NOT including the proof I am demanding will be deemed a failure to comply. Failure to comply with this request will be deemed as an admission that the reported late payment is erroneous, and I insist on its immediate deletion from my consumer report. Furthermore, I will be submitting this complaint and the related facts and correspondence to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and you guys, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) for further investigation and appropriate action if XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX do not rectify this matter promptly. Thank you for your attention to this serious issue. I look forward to a swift resolution and the accurate representation of my consumer report. Sincerely, XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction and concern regarding the many unsuccessful attempts to remove fraudulent items from my credit file. Despite numerous reports and requests for assistance, the resolution process has been frustratingly ineffective, and the fraudulent information continues to adversely impact my credit standing. I discovered unauthorized and fraudulent entries on my credit report, prompting me to contact your credit bureau immediately to report the fraudulent activities. Since then, I have diligently followed the necessary procedures for disputing inaccurate information, providing detailed information, and submitting supporting evidence. Regrettably, my efforts to rectify this situation have been met with continuous setbacks, leading me to question the efficiency and effectiveness of the resolution process. I wish to bring the following issues to your attention : Inadequate Investigation : Despite multiple reports and the provision of supporting documentation, it appears that the investigation into these fraudulent entries has not yielded the desired results. The lack of progress is concerning, and I am left with unresolved inaccuracies on my credit report. Throughout this process, there has been a significant lack of clear and consistent communication. Timely updates on the status of the investigation and the actions being taken would have provided reassurance during this challenging period. To my dismay, the fraudulent items persist on my credit report, negatively affecting my credit standing and financial well-being. This has resulted in undue stress and hardship, indicating a failure to adequately address the issue and protect consumers from the consequences of identity theft. I understand that addressing fraudulent entries on credit reports is a complex and challenging task, but as a concerned consumer, I expect a higher level of urgency, transparency, and commitment to resolving such issues promptly. I am formally requesting an immediate and thorough review of the handling of my case. I insist on a comprehensive explanation of the steps taken to investigate and remove the fraudulent items from my credit file. Additionally, I seek clear assurances and a detailed plan outlining how your credit bureau intends to prevent the recurrence of such incidents in the future. If my concerns are not addressed satisfactorily, I may have no choice but to escalate this matter to the relevant regulatory authorities and consumer protection agencies. I am asking for your assistance to remove these fraudulent items in my credit file : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX, FL XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, FL XXXX XXXX XXXX Balance : {$0.00} XXXX XXXXXXXX Balance : {$0.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Balance : {$400.00} XXXX XXXXXXXX Balance : {$0.00} XXXX XXXX Balance : {$540.00} Original Creditor XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXBalance : {$280.00} XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I reviewed my consumer reports and noticed that I had two late payments on an account that I was never late for. The consumer reporting agencies have assumed a vital role and have a responsibility to report consumer information to the best of their ability with maximum accuracy. I have never been late on payments for the accounts that I have included screenshot inside this complaint in on dates of XX/XX/XXXX & XX/XX/XXXX. Please investigate and provide proof with statements showing that these payments were late. If proof can't be provided I demand these payments be updated to paid as agree on time as they should be due to the fact I was never late. Thanks! Please see screenshot attached.
