Issue: Problem with a company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Their investigation did not fix an error on your report
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX stating Congratulations! The Biden-Harris Administration has forgiven some or all of your federal student loan ( s ) with XXXX in full. This debt relief was processed as part of the Biden-Harris Administrations one-time account adjustment because your student loan ( s ) have been in repayment of at least 20 or 25 years. An adjustment to your account updated the number of payments that qualify towards income-driven repayment ( IDR ) forgiveness. This forgiveness is effective as of XX/XX/XXXX. I have called XXXX several times enquiring about the timeframe it would take for this to come off my credit report and I was told that it could take up to 3 months. I have checked my report every month sense receiving this letter with no change. Customer service with XXXX can not tell me any date and keeps giving me the runaround transferring me to different departments but no answers are given. It has been 6 months and I feel that is ample time to have this issue resolved and my credit report should be updated to reflect the loan has been forgiven.

Consumer Complaint: I recently started getting a lot of robo calls, for accounts/collections that I have no knowledge of, I was shocked when I checked my credit report and saw 4 accounts and dozens of inquiries that I have no knowledge of.. I wrote all 3 credit bureaus to dispute these items on my consumer report via certified mail and filed a report with the ftc.. however the items are still on my report. I fill like XXXX, XXXX, and TransUnion have just ignored my disputes and I fill that they are in violation of : Act 15 usc 1681 I am a single mother trying to buy my first home for my family so naturally I need these items removed, although I haven't tried for home funding yet as I'm still saving I feel like these negative items will hurt my chances for funding or make my home loan more expensive than if my consumer report were correct and accurate.

Consumer Complaint: I am filing a complaint against TransUnion for their failure to respond to a dispute letter that I mailed on XX/XX/2023, requesting an investigation into inaccurate items on my credit report. Specifically, I disputed entries for XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX - XXXX, XXXX XXXX - XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, and a listing from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court under number XXXX. Additionally, I disputed incorrect names listed on my credit report. In my dispute letter, I included a copy of my photo ID, social security card, and a recent bill with my current address to assist TransUnion in verifying my identity and address. Unfortunately, I received a response from TransUnion dated XX/XX/2023, indicating that they were unable to process my request because it did not appear to have been sent directly by me or an authorized third party. This response suggests a failure on TransUnion 's part to acknowledge the legitimacy of my dispute and comply with their obligations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). As per the FCRA, credit bureaus are required to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation when the completeness or accuracy of any information is disputed by the consumer. It is evident that TransUnion has failed to fulfill this obligation, thereby violating my consumer rights.
