Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/year> TransUnion LLC XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, PA XXXX RE : Reinstatement of Fraudulent Account Dear TransUnion compliance officer. This is a final notice regarding my Identity theft issue. I have file multiple disputes via certified mail and with the CFPB with no resolution in this matter. Today as I reviewed my credit report, I notice an account that was deleted due to Identity Theft was reinstated on my credit report. I believe that Transunion have failed to permanently block these accounts to prevent them from being re-reported. TransUnion has violated the FCRA several time. Willful non-compliance. The Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) prohibits credit reporting agencies from reinserting account information that was previously disputed and removed from a consumer 's credit report. The credit bureaus can not reinsert this information unless it receives a certification from the data furnisher ( the bank, credit card company, or debt collector ) that the information is correct and then provides notice to the consumer that the information will be reinserted. I would like to point out that these accounts were the result of Identity Theft and under FCRA 605 ( B ) I am entitle to the block. TransUnion sent me a letter dated XX/XX/year> that as a result from their investigation the account were deleted. See attachment. PLEASE PERMANENTLY BLOCK THE FOLLOWING ACCOUNTS XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I also file a direct dispute with TransUnion via phone. Spoke with a Supervisor XXXX who said that there is nothing he can do, and that the investigation will take XXXX days although this was already deleted from my file.
