Despite mailing the dispute letter and providing necessary documentation, I received a response from TransUnion, dated XX/XX/XXXX indicating that they were unable to process my request because it did not appear to have been sent directly by me or an authorized third party. This response demonstrates a failure on TransUnion 's part to recognize the legitimacy of my dispute and to comply with their obligations under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). Under the FCRA, credit bureaus are obligated to conduct a reasonable reinvestigation when the completeness or accuracy of any information is disputed by the consumer.
