Consumer Complaint: I received an alert from my bank saying a collection had been added to my credit report which surprised me because I haven't missed any payments on anything. When I checked my credit report, there was a collection for an account from original creditor XXXX XXXX for an astounding {$14000.00}. I have never had any mobile devices with XXXX and have no idea what that sum of money is related to. Also from a state I've never resided in. I have contacted the current debt collector, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, to dispute but have not received any response at all. I also disputed it on all three credit bureaus. XXXX and XXXX both removed it from my credit report but TransUnion are saying it's accurate and won't remove it. Now I can't request any additional info from TransUnion ; they're saying I have to snail mail a request or call during business hours which is when I work. This is significantly damaging my credit and I have never received ANY notices in the mail about any debt until I got alerted from my own bank that something was added to collections.
