Consumer Complaint: I am writing to dispute and request the correction of a late payment reported on my credit file, which I believe inaccurately reflects my credit history. The late payment pertains to my account with XXXX XXXX XXXX, account number XXXX. The bank failed to send a statement in time to establish payment. And I received a statement after 30 days past due. I promptly contacted XXXX ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) to rectify the missed payment. Unfortunately, they provided no satisfactory resolution and failed to take responsibility for the delayed statement delivery. They suggested filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau ( CFPB ) as the only recourse. I believe it is unjust for this late payment to impact my credit report. It resulted solely from the bank 's failure to deliver the statement in a timely manner, despite my efforts to ensure timely payment.
