Consumer Complaint: Supposedly I was late 30 days with a payment in XX/XX/2021. Well at that time I was in the hospital with XXXX and I wrote that down in my credit dispute and they said the dispute is over and I checked and the 30 days late is still on my report. TD BANK the company that goes into your account and takes {$30.00} overdraft fees if you got one sent over your balance. I am also XXXX and my XXXX pension and Social Security gets directly deposited into that bank so its hard for me to change without going through hassle.

Issue: Advertising and marketing, including promotional offers
Subissue: Confusing or misleading advertising about the credit card
Consumer Complaint: We purchased furniture through Raymour and Flannigan and received a 0 % interest promotion. When we signed the paperwork we were never read a truth in lending disclaimer telling us we would be charged the entire amount of interest if it was not paid in time. We signed where they told us to sign. I called TD to inquire about this and was told that we get statements and emails that outline the promotion with a specific end date. After talking with TD we were told that our paper statements were cancelled and looking at the emails they never mention an end date and a charge of built up interest. The lady at TD also said that it is noted on our account page but the problem is we don't use the website to make payments. We make phone payments that never outline the end date. Neither do the emails we receive monthly. By hiding this information from us we had no way to know the promotion came to and end and that we would be hit with {$900.00} or interest. We want to pay off the account in full without the added fees. By not disclosing the proper guidelines when opening the loan, cancelling our paper statements and not including this information on emails sent this is predatory. There was absolutely no way for us to know until it was to late.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern My wife and I moved recently in the XXXX from XXXX. We both opened TD accounts in Florida using our XXXX information. Both of us were long time clients with TD Canada Trust, and had been very happy with their services in the past. This was also desirable because we were both awarded credit using our Social Insurance Numbers ( XXXX ) instead of Social Security Numbers ( XXXX ). A few months later, I tried to log onto my Online Banking with TD and was denied access. I called multiple times and finally discovered that they had closed my account. They did so without notice, or reason. I had nearly XXXX in this account. We were on the phone with TD branch managers and TD customer service multiple times trying to resolve this issue. They refused to listen, and said I had no choice but to close the account and wait for the funds to be delivered in a form of a check. I never received any notice that my account was closed or why they closed it, and still havent. After three months my funds were still no where to be found. I received no check. My account and credit cards were blocked and I had no way to pay my credit card. They had nearly {$30000.00} of mine and made no effort to return that money to me. I went on to file a complaint and shortly after the remitted and re-opened the account. While this is a move in the right direction, it is also admittance that they made an unfair and unjust call my closing my account. This also is clear proof that in nearly 3 months they made no effort to return my money to me. During these months I was unable to pay my credit card, which now has late charges and penalties, and I was also forced to use other credit for my day-to-day life, which has a penalty of interest. If TD had loaned me {$30000.00} for three months and I had made no payments, they would have added monetary fines to my account and they also would have charged me interest. Just reopening my account is NOT a fair solution and I demand that I be compensated for the unjust treatment of this bank. I am asking for Interest and penalties on my {$30000.00} of {$3000.00} as well as the interest and fees that have accrued on my TD visa since they closed the account in XXXX. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: A tender of payment was sent to TD Bank In a form of a money order with written instructions. Each rep and supervisor that I spoke with would not express yes or no to accepting my tender of payment. They all accept the money order and did not follow the accept for value agreement on the money order. I need a written statement under oath explaining why you all are exempt from following the law. I have proof that I paid this bill with TD Bank, so my balance should be at {$0.00}. Please validate this debt as well because there is a billing error. The bill is already paid for. I can not pay on a positive balance. 15 USC 1666. Please see other attached documents. And explain why you all do not have to follow federal laws.

Consumer Complaint: This is in response the banks statement according to complaint CFPB # XXXX & XXXX I was locked out of my account and lived in a state where there was no TD branch available. I called on XXXX XXXX to gain access to my account. However, the agent told me my only solution was to go to a branch and he can not help me. I also couldn't change my address for billing since I was in Ohio and TD doesn't operate there. Not only until I called XX/XX/2022 was I informed I could mail a notarized statement with 2 proofs of verification. I have not done that yet as my account has already been closed. Furthermore, I had more than enough rewards at the time of my account closing ( I believe {$300.00} in rewards ) to pay off my balance in full. Not only was I unable to use my rewards because of account blockage, but I was not informed or suggested that this would be a way to pay off my balance. While I understand I was partially at fault, the burdensome process of regaining access to my account made it very difficult to check my balance and get updates on what has been going on.
