Issue: Getting a credit card

Subissue: Card opened as result of identity theft or fraud

Consumer Complaint: I recently received a credit report update that showed a new credit card opened up under my name. The card is with TD Bank ( which I have no knowledge of doing ) and is associated with an address and phone number that I have never lived at / used. This card was opened on XX/XX/22 and I believe this was an incident of identity theft.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022 at XXXX XXXX XXXX was at work when I received an email from XXXX saying " Congratulations on your New Credit Card ". Then a minute later I received an email from XXXX XXXX saying I had an hard inquiry on my credit report. So I checked my credit report and it showed XXXX was the one who checked my credit. I called XXXX to notify them I was not the one who opened the account. XXXX said I needed to make a report and prove that I didn't apply for the credit card. The only thing they could do is put a freeze/hold on the account. Can you please help me with this issue and have this hard inquiry removed from my credit report. Thank you for any information you can provide.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX Credit Card paid in full, XXXX, credit reporting reflecting as " paid in full '' and past due simultaneously. Called their customer support number provided by experience, spoke with representative XXXX who would not provide any additional information about himself. He advised that the account would not reflect as paid in full until XXXX, was rude and provided inaccurate information. Advised that I could hang up and call again to speak with someone else if I did not like his response. I advised multiple times I would like to dispute the reporting that is reflecting past due for XXXX. Credit reporting is inaccurate.

Issue: Managing an account

Subissue: Banking errors

Consumer Complaint: I was a long-time banking customer with TD Bank XXXX On XX/XX/2022, I received eSign documents for a new TD Bank Checking Account, which I had no knowledge of. I immediately called into customer service and they transferred me to the fraud department. The fraud department could not locate any fraud, but advised me to close my current accounts and reopen new accounts. I was not satisfied with the resolution, so I eventually decided to close my TD accounts and move to another financial institution. On XX/XX/2022, I began receiving emails from XXXX stating that my Online Banking Statement is available for TD CONVENIENCE CHECKING XXXX. I again received the email on XX/XX/XXXX. It seems another customer is using my email address for their account and/or my personal information. The fraud department has still not provided any resolution to this matter.

Issue: Getting a credit card

Subissue: Application denied

Consumer Complaint: I applied for and was denied for a Target red card. The ONLY reason for denial was according to Target themselves " -Your application was declined because you have a number of accounts with recent delinquency. '' I have ONE very simple question, an answer every consumer who applied for credit has a right to know. What is considered " RECENT '' as in a RECENT DELINQUENCY '' is within 6 months considered RECENT? Is 6-12 Months Considered RECENT is 12-18 Months considered RECENT is 18-24 Months considered RECENT is 24-30 Months considered RECENT is it 30-36 Months considered RECENT Is 4 years old considered recent is 5 years old considered recent More specifically : what is the length of time that needs to past for Target to NOT consider a Delinquency RECENT? Target has failed to answer the most basic question previously, hopefully they will answer is this time around.
