Consumer Complaint: I opened a claim with PayPal Credit for an amount of $ XXXX for a XXXX XXXX transaction. I placed an order online that never was picked up. PayPal Credit ( Syncrony Bank ) denied my claim with no clear reason, I never received an explanation of why my claim was denied and the credit was reversed to my account. I called Syncrony Bank and XXXX account manager did not have a valid reason, he said that XXXX XXXX provided documentation and they want something from me. I explained XXXX that there is not documentation to provide at my end. I placed an order online to pick up, the following are the terms from XXXX XXXX in regard of this kinds of orders : XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX? XXXX Here 's how it works : During checkout, choose Store Pickup and select your store We'll show you an estimated pickup date Place your order and wait to receive a " Ready for pickup '' email ( this is a separate email from your order confirmation ) Bring your ID, credit card and order number to the store and pick up your items We'll hold your items at the store for 5 days ; if you don't make it in by then, we'll cancel the order and refund your method of payment If you cant pick up your order within 5 days and you dont want it to be canceled, check your order details for extended pickup options. Will asked for proof that I canceled the order, but the terms an condition in regards a cancellation for this kinds of orders are the following : Changing or canceling Store Pickup : If necessary, you can change or cancel your Store Pickup order. Consumer Complaint: I was on a payment agreement set up by attorney XXXX XXXX XXXX # XXXX for an account that I never got the opportunity to have validated original creditor was Synchrony Bank, but they served me papers and threatened putting a lien on my house so my wife insisted we start paying. The {$160.00} payment was automatically taken out of our account biweekly and XXXX XXXX stated he would call me when it was time to renew the auto debit. He or his office did not. My wife noticed the payment was not taken out of our joint account and assumed I used my personal account to make payments. 3 months later of no payments and 14 messages left for this attorney I finally get someone who will talk about my case. I was told XXXX XXXX filed a wage garnishment against me for non payment and even if I paid the {$4000.00} balance they would not stop the wage garnishment. I demanded to have XXXX call me immediately and when he did not only did he use profanity, call me out of my name, talk down on my ethnicity, when I told him it was illegal to take money from me in excess of what was owed he told me he can and will do whatever the XXXX he wants to do and slammed the phone hanging up on me! 5 days later I get a wage garnishment in the mail from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and I object it with the court. The paper states I have 14 days to dispute it. I had {$690.00} garnished from my paycheck exactly 8 days after this attorney refused to stop the garnishment if I paid the balance in full, was vulgar and unprofessional and hung up on me. I contacted the court who stated my 14 days has expired and this attorney served me the papers later than he should have. I contacted Synchrony Bank who would not help and referred me back to XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX XXXX. My wife and I called repeatedly over several days and left messages and got no return calls, my wife emailed and got No reply. How is this legal to talk to someone like this, threaten them, use such vulgar language and tell me they can make me pay double on an unverified debt??

Consumer Complaint: I ordered items from XXXX that I never received because XXXX wrongfully closed my account. I reported this to synchrony bank and was surposed to receive credit for the items I never received but the credit never transferred over but the false negative balance did and after having to call repeatedly over there course of a few months it was supposed to be resolved I had requested the account be closed and a refund of my XXXX dollar deposit that was owed to me I was told a check would be sent out and the account would be closed never received the check and they continued making false reports on my credit report causing a lot of damage while still sending me emails showing that I had no balance there employees are undertrained and very rude a very few actually knew how to address issues and the issues that had been fixed had been unfixed by more employees that I believe must have been disgruntled because there had been no reason for them to attack me verbally and financially by attacking my credit when they knew I did not owe and refused to return my deposit I honestly regret ever doing business with XXXX and synchrony bank the experience has been completely horrific.

Consumer Complaint: I requested a " change due date '' at least twice, since on the 1st of the month is often when I may miss the payment, so I wanted something later, such as 3rd or 5th of the month as a new due date. I believe they adjusted it. However I see now this and previous month I am charged a LATE FEE for paying on the 2nd of the month. Why won't they allow me to change the due date??? their assistant claims " 'm sorry, I'm unable to change your due date. Your account has already had a due date change within the past 12 months. '' but they never allowed the change ... and they try to scam me on late payments.

For some reason, I realized that there was a late payment on my credit report, I called SYNCBXXXX XXXX and they said their system mistakenly put me on paperless billing, which I did not request, and it caused me 30 days late. As you can see, I have always had a stellar payment record. I tried contacting XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, and SYNCBXXXX XXXX with no successful resolution. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX reporting me 30 days late in XXXX of 2021. There was an error on their part. I was never 30 days late.

I reported to synchrony bank the fraudulent charges and they denied the claim saying that it was shipped to my address which is not true I did not authorize those purchases made under my card. I reported the fraudulent and they added the charges back to my card making me responsible for something I did not buy. I reported again to synchrony bank and they reopened the claim and today I received another letter saying it was denied for the same reason. As stated on the terms of service of the card Im not liable for unauthorized charges. Im opening this claim with the financial bureau because I will not be made responsible for charges I did not make or authorized

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22 I visited Ashley Furniture Store looking to purchase furniture. I have an existing Ashley credit card through Synchrony Bank. I was told by the sales rep that I could only use my existing card if I first applied for another credit card. I was told that Ashley was moving away from synchrony and transitioning to XXXX XXXX for its credit card. I was told that if I applied and got declined or didnt get approved for enough credit, only then could I use my existing credit card with synchrony. This is a violation of UDAAP. I was able to use my existing credit card online but the sales rep was so focused on getting a sale that told me not to complete the online transaction, they created the same sale in store despite first telling me that the prices in store would be much hirer. The rep split my order between both credit cards ( XXXX XXXX XXXX / XXXX ). I was able to find furniture with a much shorter estimated delivery and canceled my order 5 days later. I was initially told that I would have to pay a 12 % fee for any items that were already available, however the store manager did a bait and switch by telling me I would be charged 12 % fee for the entire order.

Consumer Complaint: I purchased a mattress from Mattress Firm in XX/XX/XXXX. The promotion offered was interest-free financing for purchases over {$2500.00}, with no expiration date. Monthly payments were {$29.00} and Synchrony Bank financed the purchase. My XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX statement reflect this. Then a steady increase in monthly payments can be seen from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. {$90.00} is the new minimum amount due. When I asked about these everchanging minimum payments with customer service, I was told costs would revert to {$29.00} monthly once credits were applied to my account. This did not happen and today, XX/XX/XXXX, I was told the monthly {$90.00} is because my promotional offer required repayment in 36 months, and my new monthly payment would be {$90.00} going forward. The promotional offer I accepted was 0 % interest until the item was paid off. On my statement ( s ) in the Promotional Purchase Summary, Promotional Expiration Date displays UNTIL PAID OFF on the same page ; at the bottom, it also states No Expiration Date ''. Billing statements from XX/XX/XXXX to the present show the same. If the promotion were for 36 months or any other period, it would be reflected on my statements, and its not. Further, this can be seen on Synchronys website instructing customers How to Read a Statement. This change in minimum payment appears to have occurred after I disputed the charge, only resolved after I filed a complaint. I was told by customer service today, when you canceled Card Security and filed a dispute, you accepted a 36-month promotional offer. I most certainly did not! Why would I agree to a new promotional period that tripled my minimum monthly payment and if I did, why isnt it showing on my statement? I requested that Synchrony Bank adjust my account to reflect the promotional offer I accepted accurately, the one shown on my statement for the past six months with a {$29.00} minimum monthly payment until the item is paid off, with no expiration date. They have refused so I am asking for your assistance. This feels like a bait & switch. I have attached my XX/XX/XXXX statement and XX/XX/XXXX. I have additional documentation if needed
