Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I had opened an Old Navy credit card and made my first purchase in the amount of {$180.00}. The account was reported to the bureaus the following day. I had made and additional purchase on the card bringing my balance up to {$220.00}. I had paid my balance in full and had not used the card since. Fast forward to a week ago, as I started the process to get a pre-approval to purchase my first home, I was taken by surprise when my loan officer had asking me about a {$15.00} charge off to your company. I had to review months of records to see where and/or how this could happen. It appears that I was charged a fee or something in the amount of {$3.00} on my XXXX statement, AFTER I had paid the account off in full. To further complicate matters, I never received any statements following that payoff. This {$3.00} obviously went unpaid causing Synchrony to charge me what appears to be a minimum finance charge in the amount of {$2.00} on my XXXX statement. Again, no bill, no phone call, and no email informing me that I'm past due. Starting in XXXX, the account went 30 days past due, another fee was charged, still no communication or statements from Synchrony. On XX/XX/XXXX, my account was closed by Synchrony while this cycle of non-communication and no statement received letting of any balance owed went on through XX/XX/XXXX. For six months, not one person from Synchrony contacted me all the way through the account being charged off in XXXX. It's very depressing that the ability of being able to purchase a home was vehemently taken away from me over {$3.00}. As a consumer, is unfathomable that anyone would ignore such a miniscule dollar figure, even during the unprecedented events brought on by COVID19, knowing that a {$3.00} blemish would impact and haunt them for seven years. Even more so, it's incomprehensible how a company would do this to somebody.

Consumer Complaint: An account named " SYNCBXXXX '' has shown on my credit since XX/XX/2020 stating that I am an " authorized user '' on the account. However, I am not an authorized user on any such account and I never have been. I believe my information has been added to this account either in error or by intentional fraud. I've disputed this with the creditor as well as the credit bureau. The creditor is unable to provide me any assistance on the account, since I'm unable to provide an account number or any verifying information. And the credit bureaus continues to verify the account as " accurate '' even though it absolutely is not.
