Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I noticed a collection on my credit report. The collection agency isXX/XX/XXXX. I have already dealt with identity fraud and stressed out to even open the mail. It is like nothing I do will correct this. Contacted company XX/XX/XXXX. Even though I paid the amount requested, called to find out there was no remaining balance, only interest, and late fees accruing on the interest. Talked to XXXX XXXX. She was rude, would not tell me any balances. She finally told me I did pay the balance, but I did not pay it in time. I remember talking to someone to tell them I was paying the balance. It was around {$300.00} or something like that. Why would I pay a {$300.00} balance if it were not on the statement or I was told that was the balance. In the middle of the call, a man named XXXX got on the phone, said he was supervisor. He was unethical, refusing to allow me to speak, even though I called them. I even offered to pay the {$50.00} " supposed balance, '' which I do not believe, and he refused to negotiate, even though this was already on my credit report, so I had nothing to gain. At first he refused to tell me if the balance was only for interest and late fees. He kept arguing with me, telling me it was all my fault for being irresponsible, totally inappropriate, giving scenarios of how homeowners credit worked? He said there was a balance of {$50.00} ; in XXXX accrued late fees of {$40.00} ; XX/XX/XXXX, accrued {$38.00} late fees, {$2.00} interest ; XXXX {$38.00} late fees, {$3.00} interest ; XXXX {$38.00} late fees, {$3.00} interest ; XXXX {$38.00} late fees, {$5.00} interest ; XXXX {$38.00} late fees, {$5.00} interest ; XX/XX/XXXX late fees, and then they stopped the interest and late fees. He refused to give me the date I paid it off, refused to answer question of whether this amount owed is only interest. Brought up scenarios about owning a house, had nothing to do with bilXXXX. He could have negotiated this, but instead he kept arguing with me, not any way to collect a debt I have ever heard of. I do not believe him, I think the balance was paid in full and he was just trying to collect more interest and late fees. The whole thing is frustrating and stressful. I was trying to make it right, but he was just being ridiculous. I am a grandmother raising my grandchild and we have had some pretty tough times, but this man was totally unprofessional and he did not in any way even remotely try to come to any reasonable settlement, even though I already paid the balance. This is so unfair.

Consumer Complaint: I have an amazon store card through synchrony bank and I was informed that I owed a outstanding amount plus an increased delinquent fee. Thing is, I had been informed by Synchrony bank that my balance was ok ( i got e mails ) I paid on the first, second and third of XXXX about XXXX, XXXX and XXXX something ( each date corresponds with the amount i just mentioned. I called synchrony bank ( today XX/XX/2022 ) and they said that my bank didn't pay, except I have evidence that I have paid ( in my banks financial statements ). I also have emails from synchrony bank saying my amount posted. I am writing up a complaint to fax to the company and I plan on providing more information to the CFPB.

This account had a very low balance ( ~ {$100.00} being utilized ) at the time of closure. In XX/XX/XXXX the account was closed by Synchrony Bank ( creditor ) according to a phone call placed to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. Originally called PayPal Credit who said a letter should be mailed out and to contact XXXX. Called XXXX and was told to contact the creditor for additional information. Tried multiple times but is impossible to contact a service representative for information. This sudden closure damaged by credit score and erased years of positive progress.

Consumer Complaint: I opened a Synchrony credit card to avail of 0 % financing at XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX furniture store. This is a store specific card. After I completed all my purchases over the course of a year, I did an account reconciliation and found out that my total charges on the account exceeded my total purchased at XXXX XXXX. I reached out to the store manager in XX/XX/XXXX and finally got confirmation from the bank on that they had XXXX charges of {$1800.00} which were in accurate and needed to be taken off the account. I have since XX/XX/XXXX reached out and followed up multiple times and am yet to see these charges credited back to my account. In my understanding of how systems works, it seems that there is no good way of accounting for these 18 month 0 % interest purchases between the store and bank. The system seems manual and error prone and I can only imagine how many other customers have had similar issues or just overcharged and not realized it. This defies any following of basic financial auditory controls to ensure accuracy of processing financial data.

Consumer Complaint: I was given a Lowe 's credit card without my consent which then hurt my credit. My credit report shows that my account with SYNCB/LOWES was opened XX/XX/XXXX without my approval. I had visited XXXX 's probably 10+ times around that time period and was always asked if I wanted a card to which I declined. I was made aware of the fraudulent card on my account when I checked my credit report today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) and it showed a XXXX point loss to my XXXX value. This occurred from a decrease in the limit to the XXXX 's card that was taken out in my name. To my knowledge I did not receive a card. I have also never made a charge to this account.

I WAS INFORMED THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED DUE TO XXXX BASICALLY INFORMING THEM I HAVE ID THEFT AND FRAUD NOTATED ON MY CBR, I INFORMED THEM I DID NOT ASK THEM TO CLOSE MY ACCOUNT BECAUSE I DID NOT REPORT THE CARD BEING STOLEN, LOST OR MISSING. AGAIN, THEY STATED XXXX BASICALLY TOLD THEM TO CLOSE IT. FURTHERMORE, THE ACCOUNT WAS CLOSED FOR 60 TO 90 DAYS AND IT WAS UNDER INVESTIGATION?? I PROVIDED PERMISSION FOR MY WIFE TO SPEAK WITH THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP. SHE INFORMED THEM WE HAVE HAD ID THEFT./FRAUD FOR SOME YEARS. WE WERE NOTIFIED BY THE IRS. FURTHERMORE, IF THEY SAW IT ON THE CBR THEY SHOULD HAVE NEVER APPROVED THE CARE CREDIT ACCOUNT, MY WIFE IS IN THE MIDDLE OF A VERY SERIOUS DENTAL PROCEDURE AND SHE INFORMED CARE CREDIT THEY WERE CAUSING ADDITIONAL INJURY AND HARM AND IFSHE DIES OR GETS ILL WE WILL HOLD SCYN, BANK FULLY LIABLE, SHE ASKED TO SPEAK TO THE LEGAL DEPARTMENT, THE CS REP WAS RUDE AND DID NOT PROVDE ANY NUMBERS.
