Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: On Thursday, XXXX XXXX, XXXX, I received an e-mail notification from XXXX XXXX, that XXXX of my accounts was Closed. I did NOT close the account. When I contacted Synchrony, an Account Manager, XXXX, told me that they closed the account, because of information received from XXXX, and that it had NOTHING to do with my payment history. XXXX REFUSED to reopen the account, even though it was in GOOD STANDING, and that I MUST make payments on the account, even though I can not use it. Furthermore, I have been the VICTIM of Bank Fraud. The Employee paycard I was issued, by INSTANT was drained, except for XXXX cents, on XXXX XXXX, WITHOUT receiving ANY MONEY. The appropriate Dispute Forms were filed on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. I am making pay ment arrangements to get EVERYTHING CURRENT.

Consumer Complaint: I opened PayPal credit and have made regular and on-time payments due by the XXXX of each month. In XX/XX/2023 I paid on XX/XX/XXXX and took time-dated screenshots as the PayPal system would not let me select the current date of the XXXX as the date of payment. The current date/due date was blocked out and I had to select a future date, thus risking the late fee. Though I have confirmation that I paid on the XXXX, PayPal scheduled my payment for XX/XX/XXXX and charged a late fee of {$41.00}. In a XXXX chat I asked for a refund of the late fee and was denied. The PayPal rep confirmed by chat that payments should post as paid on the date of submission of payment and that payments on the due date are accepted as current payments with no penalty. Yet I was denied a refund of the {$41.00} late fee. This is a violation of the PayPal policy. I have screenshots of this conversation. I can not afford to pay this late fee and will need it reversed. Note that my account ends in XXXX and is associated with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, payment confirmation number XXXX

I have some of my accounts with them over XXXX and I always pay on time or before time, so I need to know why are they harassing me by closing down my accounts and reducing my limits

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to address the matter concerning an account ending in XXXX, for which Synchrony Bank claims I owe {$1700.00}. I hereby formally dispute the entire amount of {$1700.00} due to the violation of my consumer rights, specifically the misinformation and misrepresentation of information related to the balance owed and the promotional end date. These actions were undertaken with the intent to lure me as a consumer and transition the account into a predatory lending status, to maximize their financial gain from me as a consumer to terms that they manipulated to provide. I request the removal of the aforementioned amount and consider it paid in full, without any derogatory comments. This request is based on the fact that the promotional end date was not comprehensively provided to me upon the request of my XX/XX/XXXX statement, hindering my ability to be comprehensively informed to make a full payment. The attached statement, obtained from Synchrony Bank when I requested my XX/XX/XXXX statement, highlights several instances of incorrect information and misinformation provided by the bank : 1. Synchrony Bank incorrectly acknowledged my request for a XXXX billing statement instead of the requested XX/XX/XXXX statement 2. Synchrony Bank claimed an inability to provide a statement for the specified period 3. Synchrony Bank falsely stated that my account had a XXXX balance and no statement was generated during that time The aforementioned errors, misinformation, and misrepresentation of my account 's status form the basis for my dispute and request for corrective action. Key points of contention include : XX/XX/XXXX : The month of account initiation, where the statement should have reflected the full initial purchase amount of {$2000.00} further proven SyncBank misinformation XX/XX/XXXX Statement Request : Synchrony Bank failed to provide the requested statement, hindering me from being fully informed about the promotional balance due by XX/XX/XXXX ; this not only hindered my process to pay but it delayed the process and pushed the date past its due date as I requested a second time XXXX Balance and No Statement : Misleadingly indicated a XXXX balance, creating a false impression of no outstanding balance due what-so-ever The manipulation and misrepresentation of my account have caused significant distress. Despite my efforts to obtain accurate information, Synchrony Bank has failed to cooperate, violating my consumer rights under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act, the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and relevant state laws.

Subissue: Reporting company used your report improperly
Consumer Complaint: I am reporting to your attention a matter of significant concern regarding the violation of my consumer rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ). It has come to my attention that XXXX XXXX and Synchrony Bank have disclosed my private information to a third-party agency without obtaining my explicit permission, thus contravening the provisions of the FCRA. The Fair Credit Reporting Act, as outlined in 15 U.S. Code 1681 et seq., explicitly safeguards the privacy and rights of consumers about the collection, dissemination, and use of their personal information by consumer reporting agencies. Section 604 of the FCRA ( 15 USC 1681b ) establishes that consumer reporting agencies may only furnish a consumer report under specific circumstances and with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. I became aware that XXXX XXXX and Synchrony Bank have shared my private information with a third-party agency without securing the necessary written consent from me. This act not only violates the FCRA but also infringes upon my right to control the dissemination of my personal information. Failure to address these concerns may necessitate further legal action to protect my consumer rights.
