Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/22 Synchrony Bank left me a phone message about suspicious purchases on my XXXX XXXX XXXX that was used for purchases at XXXX. ( Nothing else of my info was used, not my home address, nor my email address, just the card number. ) I called and was told of charges adding up to {$430.00}, none of which were by me. I was told of their, " {$0.00} Fraud Liability benefit, '' that I would never be responsible for unauthorized charges. An email letter sent by the bank said that the amount was {$400.00}. On XX/XX/XXXX, another email letter said, they had approved my fraud claim on my XXXX XXXX XXXX account based on the information they had so far. Then it went on to say, " Please note, this claim status may change within 60 days if we find you authorized these transactions. We will notify you in writing if this occurs. '' Yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I received a bill for {$440.00} and was told over the phone that they missed some of the charges when doing their fraud investigation and a new fraud case will be opened. I could see on the bill that the charges had been {$930.00} and an interest fee of {$10.00}. It showed {$490.00} in credits, leaving the {$440.00} that they missed in the fraud dispute. My concern is that they are incompetent and that my credit could be harmed. I have very good credit, as I always pay my bills. Can you help me?

Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Card was charged for something you did not purchase with the card
Consumer Complaint: I am complaining about CareCredit 's failure to present all of the details of my previous case. CareCredit stated that my initial charge was {$2000.00} made on XX/XX/XXXX, but I had this charge reduced because the XXXX clinic that introduced me to CareCredit and signed me up for this credit did not perform {$2000.00} worth of services. This transaction would have been easily seen on my statements, but those statements from XX/XX/XXXX- XX/XX/XXXX are not visible nor retrievable from my online account at this time. I have requested the statements be made available on my account. The practice of providing credit, then charging up the credit for services not rendered, then to place a deferred interest without anyone explaining deferred interest before and certainly after the cardholder is enrolled is unfair and. I contacted Synchrony CareCredit twice on XX/XX/XXXX, and expressed my concern about the fees and how it had impacted my credit. Both representatives advised that they would waive the fees if I was able to pay in full within 30 days, but could not resolve the negative mark on my credit. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment of {$30.00}, and on XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment of {$260.00}. This was well within the 30 day grace period as explained by their representatives, but in their response to my initial complaint they now state there will be no removal of the deferred interest. It would appear that this inability to waive the fees is retaliation for my formal complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. See Complaint : CFPB Case XXXX

Consumer Complaint: We have paid Care Credit and met the minimum due for XXXX, XXXX, XXXX. Unfortunately, payments were going to an account Synchrony had CLOSED due to inactivity during initial Covid lockdown. I realize the mistake ( automatic bill pay routed incorrectly ) is on our part, however we phoned Carecredit/Synchrony after each late charge and they could never figure out that we were paying the wrong account? Meanwhile, a credit kept accruing on a closed account for XXXX payment cycles. All I am asking for is a that they waive all three of the late fees as they received money from us by the agreed upon date in the required amount. I think this is an excessive price to have to pay for a simple mistake.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, a sheriff knock on my door and provide me with a Civil Summons to answer to a civil action brought against me by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX about a Credit card balance owned on a Paypal Credit/Synchrony Bank in the amount of {$2800.00} that was open back on March 2016 under my personal information including an old address from which I had moved out on August 2018 to which I did request a change of address at the USPS which they forward any mail that was sent to my previous address to my new address and I never receive any statement or notification from either company about a past due account that I had with then. I did try to explain to the representative from XXXXXXXX XXXX that My personal information including my social security number had been compromised and even though I didn't file a police report about it I did set up a credit monitor that will notify me of any change on my credit including new account, collection account, closed or open account or any other change pertaining to my credit and this account had never showed on my credit report one thing I don't play around is with my credit because I know how important it's is to have good credit and if I had known about this account I would have taken care of it just like I have been taking care of the accounts on my credit report. Looking at the report that was sent to me with the summons including a PayPal credit statement with the last number of that account and it doesn't match the last four numbers of the account that was provided to me by XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, I don't think is fair for a person that a bank just sale the information to a collection agency without notifying the individual or change account number without any notice sent out.

Consumer Complaint: Was unable to log in to make a payment. Was directed to customer service who took down the wrong information or just completely mishandled the concern. They attempted to take money from the account for payment in full which should have been minimum due For XX/XX/XXXX. Therefore cause the payment to bounce when they decided to close my account on XX/XX/2022 with no notice. I found out account was closed by my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 In the matter of the name i believe i use, XXXX XXXX XXXX, SMS File # XXXX used, could there be an impropriety? i believe i've spoken to the alleged reps at the company Synchrony Bank, XXXX XXXX and however many accounts XXXX, XXXX, XXXX attorneys believe they have an interest in, besides having spoken to many alleged reps at XXXX, XXXX, XXXX, but even though i believe i've told them i'd be happy to so called pay but it's just a matter of speaking to the alleged claimant/one with firsthand knowledge accepting liability for the claim of a debt due, so i can verify their claims, could it be they've told me they have no firsthand knowledge yet proceeded to levy a XXXX XXXX bank account i believe i use and took out several amounts from it? How can there be a valid claim without a claimant? How can they proceed on hearsay? i believe i've repeatedly asked to speak to the claimant, and could it be to this day they have failed to produce evidence of a claimant after asking that they have him/her call me directly many times so i can verify what they're saying and help him/her settle it honorably? i believe i've yet to speak to the alleged claimant after calling, faxing, emailing and leaving voice mails many times requesting that he/she calls me. Could it be almost every time i call they hang up on me, could this be considered acting in bad faith and ex parte? Could that be evidence there either is no claimant or the alleged claimant has no objection to my request for them to discharge this or to put it on a full cease and desist from collections, communications and any illegal and or legal action for lack of firsthand knowledge? Could there be an impropriety? If the alleged agreement was with someone else where was the meeting of minds and proper notice to have XXXX, XXXX, XXXX to come into this? Who invited them? Could it be this has caused injury? Could this be considered meddling, false claims, false impersonation, identity theft, identity fraud, malicious compliance, barratry, champerty, creating fictitious debts, creating fictitious obligations for using the name for profit without the proper authorization, without proper so called compensation on the basis of hearsay? I'm told that's against the law. i believe i've repeatedly requested them to discharge this and any and all accounts they have on file or put them on a full cease and desist from collections, communications and any illegal and or legal action till the alleged claimant decides to step up to call me directly in order to give firsthand testimony/firsthand verification and object, but they still proceed anyway on hearsay. Would you be kind to do a due diligence investigation into the alleged matter ( XXXX ) that are being handled by XXXX, XXXX, XXXX? Could it be because they have repeatedly proven that this is an invalid claim based on hearsay by failing to produce evidence of a claimant, i'm requiring that they discharge this or put it on a full cease and desist as i requested within 10 days, removing the levy and notifying the consumer reporting agencies this alleged matter is now settled honorably because the claimant has refused to step up in order to object to it? Love you, the one who uses the name XXXX XXXX XXXX.

Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: My payments have not been applied to the proper balances as required by law. I spoke with a supervisor that acknowledged they broke the law by misapplying the payments. She then also told me its my fault because I should have noticed. Yes small truth to that but is the company just exempt from following the law? I asked that my payments be reapplied to the correct balances and this still has not been done. Care Credit has applied payments to a newer balances before paying off older balances, therefore possibly causing me extra fees and interest.
