Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 - received past due Care Credit payment notice and I paid amount {$63.00} immediately. I called the customer service number to ask how to pay and I was informed that my account was closed by Synchrony bank due to XXXX payments that were reversed. XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX I made an extra payment of {$93.00} and the same day, my payment was rejected. I wasn't informed, so I could rectify it. XX/XX/2023 - I made an extra payment of {$250.00} and that payment was rejected. I wasn't informed until I received my bank statement. That payment was resent and accepted. All minimum payments have been paid on time and have never been late. I've received congratulations emails for paying my promotional bills early. Both payments that were reversed were extra payments and as soon as I was notified, I quickly resolved it.

Consumer Complaint: I had a charge of {$11.00} on my XXXX statement due XX/XX/23 for a purchase made in XXXX I got busy and forgot to pay it on time. I called today to make the payment. At first the phone / computer said I owed {$11.00}. I went online to pay it. There, the balance was stated as {$24.00} : - my purchase {$1100.00} - interest : {$2.00} - late fee : {$1100.00}!!!!!!! How can a company justify DOUBLING a charge in one month? I contacted Lowes and they credited the additional {$1100.00} so in a sense it has been resolved. However my complaint is still valid because double an amount due for being 24 days late on a payment is USURY! When I spoke to an agent of Synchrony Bank ( who handles the credit card for Lowes ), she said this was the normal practice and " understood '' my upset but wasn't going to do anything about it. Of course the agent doesn't make policy. It is the executives of the bank who are at fault.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was already discharged in bankruptcy and is no longer owed
Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX , XXXX on behalf of GE MONEY BANK is attempting to unlawfully collect on a debt. The Reference number is XXXX. The debt in question was discharged in Bankruptcy XXXX case # XXXX which was discharged on XX/XX/XXXX in the state of TX . A letter sent to my home address dated XX/XX/XXXX states that there is money owed and pending legal action was implied by referencing a Judgment that has been entered against me. This statement is false and misleading which is in violation of the FDCPA as there is no debt owed and there is no judgment outstanding for this debt. It is also my understanding that debt collectors are not able to sue on time-barred or out of statute debts. The statute is 4 years in the state of California and the letter states the debt is from XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 Walgreens, XXXX Tx XXXX I was checking out at the counter, when the Walgreens Associate asked if I would be interested in a Walgreens Card to save more money on my purchases, I said yes, but I didn't want to apply because it would put a hard inquiry on my credit report. The Walgreens Associate picked up the phone by the register and called someone in management, I assumed. He asked if I could apply without a hard inquiry, and I was told that there would be no hard inquiry on my credit report if I didn't qualify. I agreed. I didn't qualify and there is now a hard inquiry from Synchrony Bank, in XXXX.I called Walgreens in XXXX, TX regarding what happened and was told they couldn't help me with the problem that they had caused. I want this inquiry removed from all three credit reporting agencies.
