Consumer Complaint: Compliant is against XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX managed by Synchrony Bank ) and a Chevron Gas Station located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, UT. On XX/XX/23 at XXXX XXXX, I stopped at the Chevron Gas Station mentioned-above to put gasoline to my car with credit card also mentioned-above. The total was {$44.00} -- See attached receipt. When I got home later on, I received an alert message that I had a purchase for {$50.00} -- See attached message. I immediately replied saying I did not purchased gas for {$50.00}. It was for {$44.00} -- See attached. No response was ever received to this message, as of today. I also called the credit card customer service immediately to advise I did not purchase anything for {$50.00}. For my surprise, I was told that the {$50.00} was a " Hold '' on my account, in addition to my purchase. I said I usually get a hold for {$1.00} but this is not right to place a Hold for that much, as if I were a criminal. She said the gas station did that. I got so upset and for protection of my account, I asked to close my credit card. The Customer service Rep had an attitude that she did not care about my concerns and processed my request immediately. Please note, I have excellent credit, I have always paid-off my balance on this account as soon as I use it and the balance gets posted, and this Customer Service rep did not care. Basically, she did not value customers like me and my business. The next day, I tried to get of hold of the Manager of the gas station. The call went into the Chevron Call Center. I know what a Hold means and I know it will go away, but my issue was, why me? The whole thing is basically a discrimination issue. I am a US Citizen but with a XXXX background and this is not the first time this has happened to me at a Chevron Gas Station & affiliated gas stations. Over a year ago, it happened to me at a XXXX XXXX XXXX from Chevron in XXXX, UT. I paid with a different credit card. A Hold for {$100.00} was placed in my XXXX Credit Card for putting gasoline of only {$25.00}!!! Like if I were a criminal that would not have a legit credit card. Although I closed my credit card with XXXXSynchrony and XXXX I'll never put gasoline at any of their gas stations, I am writing this complaint to let you know about their illegal or unreasonable " Hold '' amounts ' practices on people like me. You all should investigate this matter. By the way, after I have closed my account, I tried to get into my account and I couldn't, they blocked me out of my account.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, XXXX & XXXX XXXX XXXX I had late payments reported to the credit bureau. During that time I was laid off due to Covid & called Ashley Furniture to set up payment arrangement in the meantime & I was told it wouldnt be reported however it was. Ive sent a previous inquiry to have the late payment removed seeing as though I have not had any missed payments since & the U.S was experiencing a pandemic. I received response back that having the late payments removed is respectfully declined however I believe my account should be re-reviewed & I should receive some type of grace. I have several accounts with Synchrony bank, if you look at my payment history youll see Ive been in good standing for over a year.

Consumer Complaint: Complaint was filed with CFPB ( XXXX ) for a purchase that was not being refunded. Paypal and the vendor apparently acted on the same day and the charges were removed by both. Paypal then removed the additional refund, a response was sent back and my complaint was closed, I was satisfied because i made whole. Today i noticed that on XX/XX/23 Paypal Credit again added the same charge onto my Paypal account. I have not made any purchases for this amount. A chronological list of the transactions are below. Consumer Complaint: I placed an online order for a couch on Ashley Furniture 's website XX/XX/XXXX but at the end of the transaction the confirmation page listed the color brown but I ordered taupe. The purchase total was {$1900.00} and put on my Ashley Advantage credit card financed through Synchrony Bank. I telephoned Synchrony Bank at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( 2 hours later ) to explain the situation and completely cancel the online order, stating I'd visit the local store instead. I spoke to a male representative with a heavy XXXX accent and was guaranteed all was cancelled, " no further action needed. '' No merchandise was delivered due to the Vance of this order. However, in looking at my credit reports on XXXX XXXX it showed a balance of the {$1900.00} owed to Synchrony Bank for Ashley Furniture credit card. I've lost count of how many times I've disputed this charge! They continue to insist I owe-without explanation or proof and the disputes get closed. In fact, 1- they said I stated " fraud '' at 1 point, closed the account and sent me a new card- of which I never activated! That account number now has the {$1900.00} on it! The last call I made to Synchrony was yesterday XX/XX/XXXX. I asked the status f my last dispute and they said it would be 60-90 days and that I just " re-disputed by phone to them 2 days prior, XX/XX/XXXX! I DID NOT CALL OR COMMUNICATE WITH THEM 2 DAYS AGO!!?? In addition, my credit reports are showing PAYMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE ON THIS ACCOUNT WITH COMMENT - PAID AS AGREED.. I never pay d them a dime for anything because I received nothing! Isn't that FRAUD??! We are going on a year and I'm getting nowhere with them! XXXX also filed a dispute on my behalf following my call to them for assistance. No explanation or proof of receipt of goods has ever been presented! I said come! I still don't have furniture!!!

Consumer Complaint: I have bought a SOLID 18K GOLD BRACELET from XXXX XXXX XXXX and I was charged XXXX dollars on XX/XX/XXXX on my Sams club Maseru card by synchrony bank. But when I received the bracelet it tested ONLY 14K GOLD PLATED with the electronic gold purity tester and I am attaching pictures. So I disputed the charge With Synchrony bank because what I received is different from what I paid for and is a lot cheaper. I received a 14k gold bracelet that is worth XXXX dollars and I paid XXXX dollars for that same bracelet.so the seller XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me the wrong gold purity bracelet and the item was NOT AS DESCRIBED ON THEIR WEBSITE. The difference in price is huge and XXXX XXXX XXXX refused to return the item and refused to refund me because they sent me the wrong item. This is a scam by the seller and fraud if its done intentionally and I was overcharged a lot if its a mistake. Synchrony bank charged my account again today XX/XX/XXXX for the XXXX dollars that I disputed and denied my claim. This is an invalid charge because I did NOT RECEIVE THE ITEM I PAID FOR. Instead i received a lesser value item that is a fake and unauthentic and valued at XXXX dollars instead of XXXX dollars. Synchrony bank needs to remove that charge from XX/XX/XXXX and not charge me for an item I never received. The seller scammed me and sent me the wrong item and a very cheap and unauthentic item that is NOT solid 18k gold. Synchrony bank needs to resolve this dispute IN MY FAVOR and refund me back the XXXX dollars immediately. The charge is XXXX dollars today XX/XX/XXXX and also charged for the same item before on XX/XX/XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I do not have online access to my account with Synchrony Bank. There is two step authentication and the second step at this bank sends a code as a text. I have a new phone number and have called this bank a myriad, yes myriad of times to get this phone number problem corrected. I have even emailed the XXXX, XXXX and other members of upper management to no avail. Not even a response. I have emailed XXXX XXXX for Synchrony Bank with no response. So i have spent hours online and on the phone and nobody, i really do mean nobody knows what to do to fix my problem. I haven't had online access for months and months. I can't get anything done with this bank.
