Consumer Complaint: After a recent move to a new state, I changed my phone number so that I would have an area code from that state. Since then I have been getting an unrelenting anonymous robo-call to my voice mail asking me to call an out of state number with no explanation for what it's about. Usually, several times daily. " Blocking " did no good. I used an app on my phone which identified the caller as Synchrony Bank Collection Department. I have never done business with these people and I don't owe them ( or anyone ) anything. Thank you for any help with this matter.

Consumer Complaint: I was trying to devide my money into increments of {$250000.00} for fdic insurance. Synchrony Bank somehow took {$500000.00} instead of the authorized {$250000.00}. Once under my moms name and once under my name. I've been trying to get them to send {$250000.00} back and then they froze my account. As a result I filed a claim through Citi to get the money refunded. Synchrony is saying that claim went through and they sent all {$500000.00} back to Citi but I do not see it in my Citi account. It is also not in my Synchrony acount and I can not have access to my Synchrony account whatsoever. Citi customer service also said the money hasn't been returned but that the two fraud claims had been filed and I should get my money back in 10 business days. Now mine and my moms life savings is simply gone and I have no way to see who has it or where it is.

Consumer Complaint: A processing company contacted me on XX/XX/XXXX asking me to call XXXX regarding a case file and papers to serve. I called the company at this number. They say their name is XXXX XXXX and XXXX a law firm located in XXXX California. They state they had attempted to serve papers on me to sue me for intent to defraud/refusal to pay a balance on a Lowes Credit card XXXX They gave me a case # and stated the amount they are suing for is {$3200.00} including interest and attorney fees. I told them I dont owe Lowes Credit any money and the balance was paid many years ago and account closed. I reached out to Lowes Credit Card managed by Synchrony Bank on XX/XX/XXXX and was told this account was closed in XXXX and archived and no info can be pulled. Today on XX/XX/XXXX a message was left on my wifes phone to call XXXX regarding a case file #. She called them and they stated they are a law firm by the name of XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX Missouri. They said they had attempted to serve me papers suing in the amount of {$5200.00} due to an unpaid balance on a Lowes Credit card through Synchrony Bank. My wife told them I dont owe this debt. I believe this is fraudulent. They are seeking money I do not owe and I believe they are falsely representing themselves as attorneys. All of these conversations have occurred over phone. I have never received any paperwork.

Consumer Complaint: Paypal has locked my account under login ID : - XXXX and there on the account i do have Paypal credit and paypal master card which stands inaccessible. so either paypal needs to go ahead an initiate a closure of both these stated accounts and confirm back. Ofcourse i don't want to continue using the paypal account for that " Still not justified '' negative balance which was on the account before it was locked. Bottom line- I want paypal to close the Credit and Credit card account and get a closure confirmation. Thank you good bye paypal.

I called them on XX/XX/XXXX to follow up why is it still not removed, they said it is being done and be patient with them. Its XX/XX/XXXX i called them again, was on hold for an hour but they kept transferring me. XXXX Bank and very unprofessional. just a waste of time.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I applied for credit card at SAMS CLUB issued by SYNCHRONY BANK to pay for my total purchase and future purchases. I was instantly denied and sent an adverse action notice. The adverse action letter states that the decision was based in part on a credit scoring system that was used to evaluate my request. It stated that the most significant reasons where I did not score well are listed below : Revolving account balances are too high in proportion to credit limits, too many recent inquiries, not enough total credit line, and recent over limit on a bankcard account. It states that some of the information used to make the decision was obtained from the consumer reporting agencies : XXXX and XXXX. As stated in the Adverse Action Letter and Congressional Findings ( 15 USC 1691 ( a ) ( 3 ) ), The Federal Equal Credit Oppurtunity Act makes it unlawful for any creditor to discriminate against any applicant, with respect to any aspect of a credit transaction, on the basis, because the applicant in good faith exercised any right under the Consumer Credit Protection Act. I exercised my right by applying for an extension of credit with SAMS CLUB and provided all of the information that was asked for and I was denied. I have been denied an extension of my credit after applying for a credit product at Sam 's Club issued by SYNCHRONY BANK. Which means that, at that point after I applied, I should not have been denied or discriminated against, because that is unlawful. SYNCHRONY BANK has violated my right and discriminated against me by willingly, knowingly, and unlawfully denying me an extension of my credit. The factors that have been listed above about the decision of my credit has no relevancy as to why I was denied an extension of credit and discriminated against for just applying for the extension of credit. The denial of the extension of credit has been detrimental to my credit file. It has been reported on my XXXX and XXXX credit files and it is affecting me getting credit extended with other creditors. I have been denied several times due to having this inquiry listed in my credit report. It has been no benefit to me but more of a deterrent to applying for credit.

The company was unable to confirm receipt of my cancelled check through their secure website dispute submission. I spoke with XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. The company sent me a refund check for {$1600.00} which is erroneous. I am claiming a refund amount of {$840.00} which would leave the account at XXXX.
