Consumer Complaint: XXXX deceived me, into signing up for a credit card with Synchrony Bank , which would pay for the work under the credit card. XX/XX/2022. I as an XXXX, XXXX individual, did not understand that he was signing up and authorizing a purchase on a credit card. I was never informed the plaintiff that he was applying for a credit card. Synchrony Bank authorized the payment of {$7500.00} charged to the credit card Synchrony Bank failed to inform me that I had signed up for a credit card. Synchrony Bank failed to inform the me of the {$7500.00} charge they authorized to XXXX . Synchrony Bank now, through its collections agents, has sought payment in the amount of the {$7500.00} charge on the credit card. I has since disputed and raised concerns regarding the account delinquency. Synchrony Bank has since reported the account delinquency to the national credit reporting agencies, causing a decrease in my credit scores, and causing distress to his financial position. Moreover, I contends that my signature on the loan documents was forged, to which I notified Synchrony Bank. Synchrony Bank failed to investigate said potential fraud, and I was both ignored and disregarded by Synchrony Bank. In connection to my disputes, Synchrony Bank failed to report to the credit reporting agencies that I was currently disputing the account delinquency that was reported in accordance with Fair Credit Reporting Act. Synchrony Bank through the credit card has caused damage to my credit report

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I applied to XXXX for an upcoming dental appointment, and they approved a credit line of {$2500.00}, the amount I requested. There is an account number I can provide if necessary. I had the XXXX appointment on XX/XX/XXXX. The dental office gave me a paper with a QR scan code with Care Credit. The offer was up to 24 months without a finance charge. I wanted to take advantage of this offer. Plus, I learned the cost had increased, and I now needed XXXX instead of the XXXX I initially asked for when I applied on the XXXX website. I called the customer service number listed for Care Credit on XX/XX/XXXX and spoke to a gentleman. I explained I had put the " cart before the horse '' by applying the day before. I needed a higher credit limit and wanted the no-finance charge offer. I asked if I could stop the pre-approved account and re-apply with the QR code from my dental appointment. I specifically asked if it would create an issue, and he said it wouldn't cause a problem ; he would cancel the pre-approved account, and I could re-apply immediately. Well, I've been re-applying ever since and keep getting denied. The reason on the denial letter states, " Your request was denied for the following reason ( s ) : Previous application approved. '' I've called multiple times and need help finding someone at Care Credit or Synchrony Bank, the finance company for Care Credit. The most recent phone call told me I was " given the incorrect information '' when I called on XX/XX/XXXX. The problem is, I need my orthodontics. Care Credit/Synchrony Bank is reporting I have a credit account, but when I call them, they can not find an account, and I do not have access to the credit. How can they report me as an open account without giving me access to the funds?

I only made XXXX dollars in purchasing items, the " adjustment payment '' is definitely not returning to my account And also, everytime I would receive a notification claiming that I've already successfully made the payment for the payment cycle, but then several days later I would receive another notification telling me that the payment is actually not successful and I would still be charged for XXXX dollars as late fee. why?

Consumer Complaint: Synchrony Bank is reporting and continuously reporting and validating disputes stating that a collection on my credit report from all credit bureaus for XXXX is valid. I did not come across this until reviewing my credit report to move out of my current apartment and fix my finances to buy a house with my XXXX XXXX XXXX son in XX/XX/2022. I filed 2 Identity theft reports, ive sent physical mail letters to all credit bureaus and the creditor. The only response I got from the creditor is that they validated the dispute because of an email address and thats it, which makes no sense to me. The lady i spoke to requested for me to submit a police report but i submitted multiple identity theft reports and Ive put freezes on all my credit reports, ive done all the right things with nothing fixed. Multiple times the report will get deleted and then put back on later, now i have difficulty getting scores, requesting reports, it makes me look bad and get flagged because i have to keep disputing the same reporting continuously. After disputing that it has been deleted and put back on, i dont get any real answers. Ive requested a block and no action has been taken. This affects my debt, my debt to income, mortgage applications, and i am not responsible for this. As a consumer under the fair credit act it should not be this difficult for a young single mother of XXXX XXXX XXXX trying to get her finances in order and work on raising her credit. It is incredibly discouraging and i have given up disputing it multiple times but it is just not fair.

Consumer Complaint: Recently, I did an investigation on my credit report which is caused XXXX XXXX upon and found unverifiable, invalidated, inaccurate, and questionable items that your agency didn't make sure it was reporting 100 % correct. In accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act, everything has to be 100 % accurate on my credit report and Under 15. U.S Code 1681 e ( b ) and 15 U.S Code 1681i ( 5 ) these accounts are in violation of not reporting 100 % accurate. The credit reporting agencies stated that these accounts were properly investigated and came back as verified. However, how is this true when there are several inaccuracies showing on my report? As a consumer, I request to know all the steps your agency took to insure these items were % 100 accurate under 15. U.S.C 1681i ( 7 ) Method of verification-Description of reinvestigation procedure.

Consumer Complaint: Amazon Synchrony never issued me a physical card but I was able to order items from Amazon and I had several items on recurring automatic orders. I was automatically signed up for internet-only statements. I have been unable to log into Amazon because XXXX told me that my email address had been compromised. Amazon continued to send me the automated orders and I tried to discontinue the orders but I was unable to do so because the system would not give me access in order to update my email address from XXXX to XXXX. Afraid that my bills were going delinquent, I started paying {$100.00} a month to Amazon Synchrony. On XX/XX/23, I was advised to close the account because I was still getting items that I neither wanted or needed. When I finally received copies of my statement, I saw that Synchrony had given me a {$360.00} credit balance refund on XX/XX/23. I never received the check. When I called customer service again on XX/XX/23, I was told that Synchrony would reissue the check. I received a check for {$24.00}.

Consumer Complaint: I used care credit through Synchrony Bank to finance a dental procedure around the middle of XX/XX/2023. I set up automatic payments from my checking account with the first payment due on XX/XX/XXXX. When I didn't see the payment processed, I resubmitted my banking information ( apparently I miss typed my account number ) and the payment went through. The bank closed this account and two other Synchrony credit cards within just a few days after the auto payment did not go through. I have lost XXXX 's of thousands in credit due to the reporting of closing these accounts. My credit score has been above XXXX and I have made three subsequent payments on the care credit account. My other Synchrony cards have a XXXX balance. I think this action was egregious and customer service at Synchrony can not help me or give me a logical explanation for their actions. I would like the bank to correct my credit report by removing the closures and reinstating my credit cards.
