Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: Name on the credit card is XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a purchase of 3 " XXXX XXXX '' for {$600.00} to be performed at different times for the next few months after purchase. Prior to my purchase I met with " XXXX '' who promised immediate results of firming, wrinkle reduction, tightening of the skin and pore reduction. Lots of amazing claims in person as well as in their advertising. I told XXXX that I was on board if the claims were accurate and that the biggest hurdle she has was managing a clients expectations. She assured me there would be results. I began my treatments the next week and finished up the last treatment in mid XX/XX/XXXX. After the 1st treatment I got a text from XXXX XXXX to do a XXXX review, I said no I wanted to wait until my series of treatments were over to see if anything they told me in the consult or in their advertisements came true. They said that was fine. At that time I did not do a review. At the completion of my last treatment, I told my technician, I saw ZERO results and that I wanted to speak to a manager about it. XXXX the manager I orginally met with was not available so I called her the next day to discuss the matter. She called me back on XX/XX/XXXX. After a long discussion about me seeing no results she said she would consult the owner about a refund based upon the claims they made in the consult and advertising. The next day she left me a voicemail that they were not willing to do anything. With that voicemail, I filed a dispute with my Synchrony Bank Care Credit card and provided them all the advertising materials provided By Restore Hyper Wellness and my explanation of the timeline of events. On XX/XX/XXXX, I received an adjustment to my bill from Synchrony bank for {$600.00}. For me that concluded the matter. Then on XX/XX/XXXX, without explanation Synchrony Bank re-billed the {$600.00}. I immediately re-contacted them and was told someone would reach out to me in the next few days to address the matter. It is now XX/XX/XXXX and no word from Synchrony. I want the re-bill of {$600.00} reversed due to deceptive advertising and claims made by XXXX in the original consultation. Just a money grab.

Issue: Problem when making payments
Subissue: Problem during payment process
Consumer Complaint: Ive had this account for a few months now. I make all my payments in full and on time. This bank insists on putting a hold on every single one of my payments that are over {$500.00} for over two weeks. Ive never had a return payment, or any reason to continuously put a hold on all of my payments. Every time I call, they say they cant release the hold. I have two other credit cards, one processes payments and gives me available credit the same day, the other one processes payments and available credit within 24-48 hours. This bank is punishing me without reason and impacting my ability to use this account. The whole purpose was to build history with this bank, have my credit line increased and start using this card as my primary. So far, this credit card is completely unreliable. The company cuts me off for no reason with no explanation.

Subissue: Problem with rewards from credit card
Consumer Complaint: I have a Verizon VISA card from Synchrony Bank. I have signed up for the card in XXXX, XXXX. At that point I was promised rewards for a variety of purchases. I was not able to receive any of the rewards. The online application from the bank will direct me to a Verizon Website. Verizon will supposedly send info back to the Verizon Visa, but instead of crediting the money amount it will debit it. I tried to talk with customer services in both, Verizon and Synchrony bank several times during the year. But they were pointing to each other and the problem was never resolved. Today ( XX/XX/XXXX ) I made another attempt to talk with Synchrony bank, But instead of trying to resolve my problem they were aggressively pushing me to get some type of voucher and pay {$1.00} to have it delivered to me by mail. Even when I refused to submit they were still pushing and were refusing to discuss my problem unless I agree to receive the new promotional item, My rewards money is {$150.00}. This can be easily calculated from the statements.

Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt is not yours
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call from ( XXXX ) XXXX from someone stating they were from XXXX XXXX XXXX and stated I owed a debt to PayPal. I asked the representative for more information and was told they represented XXXX XXXX XXXX. They then attempted to convince me that they allegedly sent a letter to a residence I haven't lived in since XX/XX/XXXX and that I was in danger of having the debt on my credit report if I didn't pay immediately. I do not owe PayPal. My PayPal balance shows XXXX. I believe this to be a scam.

Issue: Credit limit changed
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: Paypal Syncrony has lowered my credit limit despite never being late or missing a payment. They provided no advance notice that my credit limit would be impacted if I didn't increase usage. This amounts to a lowering of my credit score at a time when I am looking for a new home, as my available credit has decreased and my debt as a percentage has increased. I spoke with a rep today who could only increase my limit to {$2200.00}, still much lower than the {$10000.00} I previously had.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I sent a letter to a financial institution called Synchrony Bank for violating my permissible purpose rights under 15 USC 1681b. They inquired on my credit report without my consent on XX/XX/XXXX, as SYNCB/SAMS CLUB. I gave them 10 days to respond and requested proof that I gave them permission. I told them if they failed to provide me proof, to delete the inquiry off of my report. However, it has been 29 days since then and they still have not responded.
