Consumer Complaint: I took out a personal loan in XX/XX/XXXX to consolidate credit cards! On my account statement, it shows XX/XX/XXXX that payment was received and credited to my account in the amount of {$1700.00}. On the statement, it also shows XX/XX/XXXX that there was a payment correction in the amount of {$1700.00}. Once I noticed this and began questioning Synchrony, I have not been able to get straight answers. I once was told that they couldn't find the payment and was asked to send them proof. I went to my bank who gave me a copy of the cashed check with my account number written on it and Synchrony Bank stamp on the back to show proof that they cashed it! They corrected the problem but then would continue reversing it. At one time, I was told by a Synchrony representative that they still could not find any proof of the payment. Another time, I was told by a Synchrony representative that the payment was found and her and her manager found that every time the payment was reversed to show payment, the computer was glitching and kicking it back out so her manager was doing an override and that it would be corrected! I just left my bank where the loan is through, and they again verified that the check was cashed by Synchrony! Synchrony Bank has now started the process to take me to court although they have received and cashed the payment in question.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/23 I called Synchrony Bank ( XXXX ) to inquire as to whether they would close XXXX XXXX XXXX CD accounts and waive any penalties. Note : I closed another CD at another bank and they waived my fees so I called knowing that some banks do this. I spoke with XXXX, who assured me that yes, that could be accomplished. She said they would close both accounts incurring no penalty and move the funds into a " standard '' account. Then I could withdraw them or do as I wish. XXXX, then said XXXX, in the XXXX XXXX would assist in taking it from there. XXXX said they could not honor what XXXX told me and that she probably had was not trained well. I told him, I feel they should honor what I was just told. I told him to listen to the recording as I had XXXX repeat that there would be no penalties, whatsoever. He said his legal department would have a look at this. Then, on XX/XX/23 I got a call from XXXX from Synchrony 's XXXX XXXX. She lied and said XXXX told me there would be penalties. I don't think she listened to the recording ( or just lied ) because I am 100 % sure XXXX NEVER mentioned ANY penalties, I would be responsible for. I actually had XXXX repeat that there would be no penalties ( on the recording ) so that there was clarity in what we had just agreed on. I requested a copy of the recording because I KNOW what was said! XXXX refused. Synchrony should stand by what was agreed to ( on a recording ) and allow me to close my accounts without penalty.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX I used my care credit card on XXXX XXXX for my dog. XXXX. I had XXXX XXXX and XXXX made it so I couldn't pay it. Last year my son passed in a car wreck I finally got clear enough to think contacted care credit who tells me the acct was written off. I check XXXX XXXX and see this XXXX debt for this care credit debt that care credit has written off. They are showing it was incurred XXXX which is inaccurate. I dispute it and through the process of this I get a collection notice from another collection agency trying to collect this XXXX for XXXX. XXXX claims the debt is right I dispute again because I ow care credit not them, the dates aren't right and they have another collection agency trying to collect the debt for them while they are trying to collect on a debt care credit has written off. I can scan the original debt paperwork from XXXX XXXX XXXX and the collection notice from the place XXXX hired. Just let me know if needed. I am on my phone or I would upload now.

The retailer responded back the same day that as soon as they see the funds deposited we will get the receipt out to you. I am a bit perplexed as Synchrony processed a purchase on XX/XX/2023 for {$7500.00} for merchant XXXX XXXX XXXX on Synchrony Home card ending in XXXX. Also, a purchase of {$5000.00} was processed with the same merchant on XX/XX/2023 to XXXX card ending in XXXX. I would like to receive a paid in full invoice from the merchant for my records. Please advise me when the above mentioned purchase amounts will be sent to the merchant.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2023 I refinanced my home and reached a written settlement with Synchrony Bank TJX Rewards XXXX. The account was Settled in Full for {$2700.00}, with the agreement that the account would appear on my credit report with a XXXX ( {$0.00} ) balance, and the account status would be " Paid. '' Synchrony Bank accepted and deposited my {$2700.00} check from the Title Company, marked as Settlement in Full. However, AFTER the payment was received, Synchrony Bank reported my account as " Charged Off '' with a balance of {$3400.00}. This report has occurred every month since XX/XX/2023, and this account on my credit report is still showing a " Derogatory '' account status, rather than the promised " Paid '' status, and it is still showing an account balance of {$3400.00}, rather than the Settled in Full balance of XXXX ( {$0.00} ). Synchrony Bank most recently reported this on XX/XX/2023, and I expect they will fraudulently do so again this month. As a result of this " Derogatory '' report and falsely reported " Amount Past Due, '' my credit score has dropped each month it has continued to be falsely reported.
