Consumer Complaint: On Thursday, XX/XX/XXXX, I was served with a foreclosure notice from the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for the property I own, located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX PA XXXX. The lender is Select Portfolio Servicing of XXXX XXXX XXXX, Utah. I fell behind on my mortgage after being unemployed for the period XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, when I began employment with XXXX XXXX. I notified the mortgage company that I was unemployed but had accepted the role with XXXX as of XX/XX/XXXX. I also informed them that I would send accelerated payments to bring my account up to date, once I began to receive my salary. In support of my promise to pay, I sent a certified check in the amount of {$2500.00} on XX/XX/XXXX as my first payment. However, the mortgage company returned this check to me, refusing to apply thus amount to my outstanding balance. Instead, they began the foreclosure process to steal my home, depriving me of my ability to provide for me and my family by taking away our residence. Subsequently, I sent checks in the following amounts from XX/XX/XXXX to the present : 1. {$2500.00} 2. {$2500.00} 3. {$3500.00} 4. {$15000.00} This includes the original check returned to me. and this totals {$23000.00}. In a separate letter, the mortgage company demanded payment of {$23000.00} by XX/XX/XXXX. I believe I've done enough to prevent my home from being foreclosed upon. However, I believe Select Portfolio Servicing is engaging in illegal and fraudulent behavior by initiating these proceedings. I request full reinstatement of my mortgage, the elimination of excessive fees charged by the company for unnecessary legal and business costs, and damages from the company and the law firm that prepared this illegal foreclosure filing against me. I also request a full investigation into the business practices of Select Portfolio Servicing to determine if other customers are bring defrauded like I have. I have filed similar complaints with : The U.S. Department of Justice, The PA State Attorney General 's Office and U.S. HUD. I can be reached by email at : XXXX or XXXX and by phone at XXXX or XXXX Rev. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I recently had my loan sold to Select Portfolio Servicing. I have made 3 monthly payments to them toward my mortgage. They are charging every mortgager a {$17.00} fee every time we make a payment on our loan. It is not a late fee they call it a processing fee. The only way to avoid this fee is to do auto draft payments. I have had a bad experience with companies taking money out of my account so I don't want to do auto drafts. I don't feel if you are paying your mortgage on time every month how can they charge me to make my payment. I feel they are stealing from customers.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. I am the sole successor trustee and successor-in-interest of the subject property of this complaint. The property is located at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX I filed an application with the MO Homeowner Assistance Fund to assist me with reinstatement and my application was denied. I have applied for mortgage assistance with Select Portfolio Servicing. I recently was informed that the servicer contacted an unauthorized third party and discussed the status of my mortgage account. Since I am the sole third party listed, this is a CFPB violation and also a HIPPA violation of my privacy rights. My sister, XXXX XXXX was contacted today, XX/XX/2022 between XXXX and XXXX PST and was advised that the property was in foreclosure and was going to trustee sale in XXXX. Select Portfolio Servicing had no right to share or disclose information on this account to XXXX who is not authorized on this account. Once I submit an application ( RMA ) for assistance, it was my understanding that the foreclosure sale date is to be placed on hold while the application is under review. I would like to know what my recourse is based up on this blatant violation of my privacy rights.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom it May Concern, My name is XXXX XXXX, and I am writing to file a complaint regarding the treatment of my account with SPS Mortgage company. I was offered the repayment plan for my mortgage starting in XXXX of 2022. I called the company and asked to set up automatic payments, to ensure my payments were received on time. A representative of SPS told me that they were only able to set up automatic payments three months at a time, meaning the money would be withdrawn from my account in XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I agreed to this and gave my information to set up automatic payments, anticipating that my payments for those three months would be taken care of. In XXXX, I noticed that SPS had not withdrawn any money from my bank account. I called SPS to address this, and was told by the representative that I did not set up automatic payments, even though SPS had automatically withdrawn money from my account in XXXX and XXXX. The representative then suggested that I could set up the automatic payments again, to cover charges for XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. I agreed to set up automatic payments again, hoping that the issue would be resolved after speaking to the representative. Recently, I have received concerning letters from SPS dated XXXX XXXX claiming that my repayment plan was canceled due to payment delinquency. This claim is false, as I had ensured my payments would be on time by setting up automatic payments with SPS representatives. Simultaneously, SPS has still automatically withdrawn money from my account for the month of XXXX. { XX/XX/2022 ] At this point, the lack of competence and harassment from SPS is causing an outstanding amount of stress, and I will be pursuing further action if this issue is not resolved in a timely manner. Sincerely, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I attempted to apply for mortgage assistance, XX/XX/2022. At that time I discovered that the mortgage company had my and my late husband 's social security numbers reversed. In an attempt to correct the social security numbers, I submitted all of the documents that one is required to submit to the DMV in order to become Real ID compliant. The mortgage company did not correct the social security numbers but instead changed my last name in their records to XXXX ( my Maiden name that I haven't used in over 30 years ). I began a second attempt at applying for mortgage assistance XX/XX/2022. I am still unsuccessful, as all of the required documents that I submit, result in a " missing information '' letter generated stating that borrower information doesn't match their records. All of their records are incorrect. Mortgage company refuses to correct social security numbers on file. They have switched my and my deceased husband 's social security numbers. I can't apply for mortgage assistance because of this. All documentation that I submit generates a " missing information letter because my information does not match their files. In an attempt to get my social security number corrected, the mortgage company changed my last name from XXXX to XXXX ( maiden name that I haven't used in over 30 years ). Now both my name and my social security number are incorrect, which prevents my applying for Mortgage assistance.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I inherited several rental properties when my father died. All of these assets transferred to a trust, of which I am the trustee, when he passed. I qualified as executor of his estate. At this time I inherited a mortgage that was originally provided by XXXX XXXX XXXX In early XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX sold my mortgage to a company called Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ). Since XXXX XXXX I have been trying to gain access to this mortgage and account information. I have called and emailed SPS numerous times over the past months, providing any documents/information requested. I provided my letter of qualification as executor, my father 's death certificate, a copy of the signed trust, a copy of the signed will, and a certification of trust. SPS still insisted I send them a deed showing that the property had transferred to the trust, even though the property transferred to the trust when the will was recorded with the city. My lawyer drafted a deed of confirmation which we then recorded with the city and I sent the recorded copy of the deed of confirmation to SPS. At this point, SPS still insisted I could not be authorized to access the loan until I provided them with a " re-recorded deed showing the property had transferred to the trust. '' This is a document that does not exist. I have spoken with my lawyer throughout this whole process, and he has determined that at this point, given all of the information I have provided for SPS and the fact that they are requesting something that simply does not exist, that the only way forward is to file a lawsuit against them, as they are denying me access to this debt I owe, as executor of my father 's estate and trustee of his trust. I would very much like to not have to do that. As of today, Thursday XX/XX/XXXX, SPS has still not given me access to this mortgage. They are preventing me from acting in my role as executor of my father 's estate. They won't give me the account number or any other information regarding the loan. As a result, I am unable to make payments, and have been unable to make payments for months. Furthermore, I am in the process of selling this property, and without access to the mortgage account, I can not get a payoff quote.
