You changed the policy of how you handle the escrow portion of our account and called added a pre pay option which caused our mortgage to jump an additional {$700.00} per month starting in XX/XX/XXXX. Its important that you understand that this can cause massive foreclosures as Senior Citizens such as us can not budget for this type of an increase. You must understand that the decisions you make behind closed doors do impact real people. When investors invest in homes and homeowners you have to ensure that you set us up for success. As I look at the investors that are listed here and own our mortgage, I must also be reminded of XXXX when Big Banks such as yourselves received a massive bailout. However, you make decisions like this to force more homes into the market by foreclose. Consumer Complaint: Select Portfolio Servicing Inc is the mortgage company and have increased the escrow amount claiming it was to cover XXXX shortage. The amount being assessed will result in an excess of {$3000.00} beyond the actual projected escrow amount necessary. Mortgage companies are required to notify the owner of any projected shortfall and allow owner to pay the difference to avoid an increase on mortgage payment. I was not notified of the shortage until XX/XX/XXXX and the increased payment takes effect XX/XX/XXXX. There was no opportunity to pay the difference or to dispute it and now the payment is expected by XX/XX/XXXX. I learned from my homeowners insurance company that SPS paid the insurance twice for XXXX and refunded that amount to me in the amount of $ XXXX. I sent sps the actual shortage of {$200.00} for the difference in XXXX and XXXX and the check was cashed by SPS with no acknowledgement nor reciept. The projected escrow necessary for XXXX is {$4400.00} according to the escrow analysis and they intend to collect {$7400.00} by increasing the mortgage payment. SPS has continually attempted to threaten forclosure claiming that the payment was late when in fact payments have all been made so it is forseeable they will continue to attempt to take my home in light of this threat to collect a excess mortgage escrow balance and the hardship the additional {$250.00} will pose on top of the existing {$360.00} escrow payment already being collected. I wrote them and sent the actual shortage and offered to pay the insurance refund sent to me due to their error and yet they expect the XXXX payment to be elevated to an amount that will result in an excess of {$3000.00}. I have already requested a reevaluation of the escrow analysis due to their erronous overpayment of mortgage insurance.

Consumer Complaint: My home is located in XXXX Florida. On XX/XX/XXXX hurricane Ian hit the Gulf Coast leaving damages throughout neighborhoods. It was declared a devastated area by FEMA. I reported my damages with my home insurance XXXX XXXX They issued me {$45000.00} for repairs. As directed. I had to endorsed the check and mail it to SPS Select Portfolio in UT. The endorsed there part and only sent me back $ XXXXto start my repairs. I have 390 sq ft of fence to replace PVC., a new roof, replacement for window screens, paint. Pool equipment repair, Prior before getting my money for the repairs I had to take out of pocket some costs like a tarp to cover the roof as well as hold my place with contractors to order supplies as there was a huge demand. I was instructed but SPS to log into a website called " Insurance Claims '' this shows me steps that is needed to complete once repairs are complete. They indicated I would get back the {$5000.00} after the final inspection was done. I received a text from there inspector XXXX who only wanted pictures of the final completion of the damages which I sent. SHe said it would take 7-10days. THis was sent and it was uploaded into the company 's site on XX/XX/XXXX. They still haven't released the money. They stated that only 95 % was done. I spoke to many reps and the last one stated that she will note that paint and clean up isn't based on structure and funds would be released this was two weeks ago and still no indication from there website that the rest of the money pay back for the work that was done was sent. The contractors want to pay off the balance and its leaving me in a very bad way with these workers and I don't want to go to collection. The house that is damage is an investment property and I was unable to rent during these time for the property not being safe. I requested a defer for mortgage assistance back in XX/XX/XXXX but it still hasn't finalized. I keep in touch every week and the underwriter who keep asking for the same docs over and over wont move forward. Even there Reps don't understand what is going on. I have complied with every request and they wont release the {$5000.00} or move forward with the mortgage assistance. They are stealing the home owners money and not releasing it to me to pay my contractors. can you help.

Consumer Complaint: The most recent call to resolve one of the issues was on XX/XX/XXXX five times and trying to get a 30 day payoff. I keep being told they can only give a XXXX day pay off stating that I'm still in bankruptcy and that is untrue, successfully completed my BK and case was closed and dismissed on XX/XX/XXXX. I advised several people in BK department that my BK has been completed and they claim on there end not complete and they're still reconciling and BK will be completed/closed on their side XX/XX/XXXX and maybe sooner. How is that? when the case has been closed/dismissed per my attorney and BK Trustee/Judge and I documentation that verifies/confirm this information. The second issue is SPS is trying to charge me an inspection fee and attorney fees, said they can't send me an itemized statement this because I'm still in BK and I would need to get this information from my attorney. Why? I see inspection fee from XX/XX/XXXX for {$60.00} on my XXXX statement and I guess the difference is for THEIR attorney fees Why? When I asked for the name of the attorney, the name that I was given is their attorney. SPS is not posting my payment in a timely manner they claim they hold it or it's still processing said I will get credit for the date that they received the payment, I asked why and they keep saying the same ting that I'm still in BK and I am NOT! this is RIDICULOUS!!!!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX Select Portfolio Servicing sent me an escrow analysis that showed the wrong date on my Hazard Insurance renewal. This was an error that showed I would be paying it 4 months early and the analysis was showing 3 payments of Hazard Insurance in the 2 year analysis. I sent a written letter informing them of the error, they acknowledged the letter received XX/XX/XXXX and the letter was dated XX/XX/XXXX. There was no follow up with regard to the letter so I called on XX/XX/XXXX and was not able to resolve the issue. This will cause my payment on XX/XX/XXXX to be higher than it should be, and if not resolved in a timely fashion cause me financial hardship as there will be more than {$4700.00} overpayment of escrow by XX/XX/XXXX. Since I live in Florida and my original loan documents make no such requirement I would like to have the 2 months of reserve escrow also known as a " cushion '' removed from my escrow as there is NO such reserve required in my original loan documents. My loan may have been sold and transferred from the original mortgagor but the original terms of my loan are in effect. Also, please note the files statements and letters they provide on their website are coded in a way that when saved are corrupted and don't allow you properly save them but get only an error. I have saved some of these statements and letters from the website but am not able to upload them here. The phone app they have does allow you to save the files properly but they took down the acknowledgement letter from the app. I can print these corrupted files but not save digitally.
