Consumer Complaint: Prior Reference : XXXX In XX/XX/2023, I planned to pay-off my mortgage after my HAMP was applied. SPServicing has a website that does not actually allow contact or interaction. I sent emails and eventually I was told to request the pay-off letter on XX/XX/2023. A document was posted XX/XX/2023. I used my bill-pay system to send {$2000.00} for closeout. I realized they must have all funds and I EZ paid the last {$300.00} for a total of {$2300.00}. I called because I require the letter stating I have satisfied the account. I even sent a request to the Ombudsmen. On XX/XX/2023, I called because I required the notice to move forward on an action. I was told that since I did not send certified funds, the funds were posted regularly. The representative stated that they will send a request and it will take 72 hours. I took three business days. This placed a delay on my actions. I called this morning, now the representative states it will be ten days and my mortgage is not considered paid. I said I knew where to contact and hung up. This company will have consumers on automated called for payments even when they are not late. Now, that the mortgage is closing, SPServicing want to delay the process. I understand there are steps, but they have verified funds and could acknowledge the completion of payments. The Ombudsmen never responded and I fear they will not attempt to make the correction. I was specific that I needed just the completion letter.

Consumer Complaint: I pay my own taxes and mortgage insurance, but last year the mortgage company started writing me to say they are paying my taxes and then tacking it onto the end of my loan at 5 1/2 % interest. They opened an escrow account which is not authorized by my loan documents. I had to prove that I had paid the taxes and demanded that they close the escrow account. So they closed the escrow account but kept the money added to the principal balance of the loan. So I called and complained again because they are still taking {$10.00} out every month for taxes and insurance. Theyre reply was that they did not add that to my regular monthly payments. So they must think Im XXXX or something because I said Im sitting here looking at my mortgage loan documents and You have added it to the principal balance at 5 1/2 % interest. They want to make sure that I never pay this off because they keep adding money to the principal balance every month, they only admit they add {$10.00} to the principal balance allegedly for insurance and taxes, that I pay separately and directly to the companies. Now I have no idea how much money they have added to my principal balance every month because they would add the taxes in the insurance and not tell me then I wouldnt know it because they close the escrow account except that the principal balance doesnt change that much every month like it supposed to, according to my payments.

Consumer Complaint: I scheduled a payment to be sent out to my mortgage company on XX/XX/2023. For some reason it was sent to my previous mortgage servicing company, I called my current mortgage company, Select Portfolio Servicing Inc ( see attached ) in XXXX, they have told me it happened a lot in the past. They said they will get the money transferred from old mortgage company without any problem. A few months later they send me a letter stating that the old company ( XXXX Mortgage ) has closed and they could not obtain the cashed funds from XXXX Mortgage, I have to work with my bank, XXXX, to retrieve the fund. I talked to XXXX, they told me there is nothing they can do either. So what can I do now to retrieve {$5200.00} to pay for my mortgage? I think my money got stolen and no one willing to help this minority woman.

Consumer Complaint: We previously opened complaint # XXXX. The only message received was that SP Servicing would respond soon. CFPB seeing that there was a response, closed the complaint. It should not have been closed so we are re-opening it. SPS has resolved some of the issues. One issue that has not been addressed is that SP Servicing forced us to pay for additional {$4800.00} above and beyond the payoff statement for " Insurance '' purchased XX/XX/23 the day after the property was sold and mortgage paid off to SP Servicing. SP Servicing threatened to move forward with an illegal foreclosure if we did not pay.

Consumer Complaint: I requested from my Mortgage Company a reason as to why my monthly payment have been going up every year. For many years my payment was at {$720.00}. Then it went up to {$750.00} Now it is at {$780.00}. According to the bank ( SPS ) it was due to a shortage in the escrow for taxes. Which is not true. When I was paying {$720.00} my principle was at {$560.00}, escrow payment was XXXX XXXXXXXX {$720.00}. If you take {$160.00} x 12 months= {$1900.00} for taxes. And the taxes at that time were a total of {$1900.00}. Now for XXXX the total taxes are : {$1900.00} for the year. Which is a difference of {$9.00} from the year before XXXX. And with that they now raised my payment to {$780.00}? Why? There is no reason for that. When the payment was at {$720.00} and it paid the taxes in the amount of {$1900.00}. But since then they raised to {$750.00} and now {$780.00}???

On Monday, XX/XX/XXXX with I called SPS and spoke with several individuals ( relationship managers ) regarding postponement of my foreclosure sale, a woman named XXXX, explained to me on a recorded phone call, if I can send proof of funding that day they would post pone the auction sale. I called back after sending the information spoke with XXXX and then XXXX who confirmed They received it that day. By XXXX XXXX. I Icalled XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with XXXX, she told me that auction had progressed despite them telling me it was postponed, transferred me to ombudsman I left messages, then I called and spoke with XXXX referred me to XXXX telling me property was sold, I spoke with XXXX I was referred to attorney XXXX XXXX I left a message also with them I spoke with XXXX Who transferred me to XXXX and she helped me file this dispute with SPSERVICING I was on recorded phon calls with my title company and buyer with SPS when they told me auction was postponed thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I am requesting 7 to 10 days postponement that I may provide funds to resolve this matter either a reinstatement or for payoff. Now Im Trying to remediate and close the sale, So can move on with my life. This company has been trying to get my property for two years now theyve approved modifications, Ive paid them, theyve misappropriated payments I still have unapplied funds in my account they have for no reason, canceled my modifications three times, they have dozens of lawsuits for this, Im seeking proof of my mortgage from XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX in XXXXto SPS and not gotten any proof that they can provide ... etc..

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage was switched from XXXX XXXX to SPS Servicing after I aproached a problem involving a so called " XXXX XXXX '' which was tied to XXXX XXXX attached to my home address. I tried over one year to lease rooms in my home during the Pandemic. It wasn't a success. My internet was stolen, the information on the cable bill was my own address, however, was not able to access the billing details with the company, I eventualy had to file a police report to indentify the connectivity. I had no internet for two years, and that caused displeasure with long term tenent occupancy. I was a victim of identity theft through XXXX XXXX. This process among other issues such as caring for 2 of my ailing family members that were ill with XXXX at the time, and experiencing slightly suppressed sales due to covid.
