In XX/XX/XXXX, they said that they would start investigation after I called them couple times. On XX/XX/XXXX, they sent the letter stating a refund check for the amount of {$11000.00} was mailed out on XX/XX/XXXX because they never made the payment to the county. Since then, I have made at least 5 phone calls asking the status of the check that I never received. Every time, they gave me a runaround. As of today, XX/XX/XXXX, I still didnt receive the check

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 I wrote Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. and requested that they explain to me how a financial institution can dual use a Special Warranty Deed With Assumption. It appears that the financial institution recognized the legal standing of the Special Warranty Deed With Assumption by only dealing with one party and modifying the mortgage. By this I mean the financial institution used the Special Warranty Deed With Assumption to waive the requirement for the signature of the co-borrower when the mortgage was modified. On the other hand the financial institution elected to ignore the fundamental basis of the Special Warranty Deed With Assumption, which is that the Grantee agreed to assume and promised to pay all principal and interest remaining on the mortgage on the property. The Special Warranty Deed With Assumption was completed as part of a divorce that took place 29 years ago. After 29 years Select Portfolio Servicing is listing the late payments on the mortgage on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: The mortgage holder appointed me as his Attorney in Fact in writing. This gave me the authority to act on his behalf as if I was him. They mortgagee, Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ), Bought a forced placed insurance policy on the house from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ) and charged the cost of the premiums to the mortgage holder. On XXXX a fire occurred and a claim was filed by XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ), a third party vendor that SPS hired to process the insurance claim. SPS required me to submit a copy of a signed contract with a licensed contractor and other supporting documents prior to authorizing us to commence the repair work and releasing a portion of the claim funds. SPS inspected our progress through a third party vendor throughout the stages of progression ( ie 25 %, 50 %, etc ). On XXXX we paid the mortgage off in full. We had a pending supplemental claims payment in the approximate amount of {$32000.00} that insurer would pay for additional work that was not included on the original estimate. On XXXX the insurer sent the final payments to XXXX. XXXX forwarded the checks to SPS via XXXX on XXXX. SPS has no record of receiving the checks. SPS refuses to ask the insurer to reissue the checks. SPS thinks that XXXX will help me based on the fact that I can present the paid in full letter that SPS gave to me when we paid the loan off. XXXX will not accept the paid in full. They insist upon receiving a letter or memo from SPS authorizing them to deal directly with us. SPS refuses to issue such a letter or memo.

Consumer Complaint: I asked for help beginning in XX/XX/XXXX. I finally got help in XX/XX/XXXX after filing complaint with XXXX. I wrote letters explained why I felt they kept asking for bank statement repeatedly. I told them, yet they never paid attention in my writings, or repeated phone calls. I knew they were looking for my checking account no. Which our credit union lists us as a member and doesn't list our acct no. Only our members no I circled where our checking account begins to help them. It's been one battle after another. I don't know who holds our mortgage as they refuse to tell us, and they are mortgage servicers only. They refuse to offer us modification, and offered that our XXXX be paid in balloon by XX/XX/XXXX. I told them if I could afford that then I would've paid the whole time. I'm XXXX and my husband is the only income provider. Finally someone cares enough to tell me they have a page for covid so I went to it, filled it out, and they denied a deferral because we had a previous deferral they claim which I truly can not recall such? So my only option was to pay XXXX more a month for 2 years or we will lose our home. I feel trapped and pushed against the wall. As I wrote the XXXX just to get someone to finally call and work this out why they kept wanting statement, I told them I feel as though they're wanting to trap us and take our home, I truly feel like that's their true goal. Please what are our options, as we can not afford to pay that extra money each month especially for two years, and I'm not sure why it's so much? Our mortgage is XXXX month and I'm only 4 months behind? Please help us! Thank you Further, they've written me since my complain stating that it was unfounded which they're wrong. I written, called repeatedly wanting to work out their repeated requests for our bank statement, for which all was ignored! This is what I wrote in my complaints, therefore they're truth! No one ever handled my letters, or my calls properly, it wasn't until I filed when my agent assigned to us called, which I wrote letters directly to him before my complaints! He finally called after I complained and only after! And my letters were valid my reasons were right they were asking for repeated copies because our acct. No. Wasn't listed, after he finally called and listens, he understood this and fixed it all! Sadly, this could've been fixed way way prior to XXXX, but when I first wrote him in XXXX!!!! It's sad, and I feel as though they're placing us against a wall again with wanting a balloon payment, and for wanting XXXX for 4 months behind? I don't get why a deferral is such a big no simply because they claim we've had one, which I truly don't recall, but if so I think it was just a lousy 2 months, if I recall? I have blood clots so my memory isn't the sharpest why I keep all details written, copied, and filed. Either way, please let me know what our options are. XXXX

I wanted to know what the FINAL RATE was based on my loan modification agreement and to please mail me a copy of this agreement. It has been over 32 minutes and this representative can not answer my questions or find the agreement. Also, this lender has reported that I was late on my mortgage in XXXX and XX/XX/2019. I was never late on my mortgage. Never. This needs to be corrected

Consumer Complaint: I've been dealing with this for about three and a half years. I have sent emails and letters to both mortgage companies with no resolution. My mortgage got transferred from XXXX XXXX to Select Portfolio Servicing. There was a deferred principal balance of {$26000.00} that was canceled from XXXX XXXX. I have the letter regarding the cancellation. XXXX XXXX will not answer Select Portfolios messages I've sent messages and they will not answer mine either. Neither mortgage company is being helpful. I want this amount removed from my file at select portfolio services. it should not be on my balance at all not even under deferred principle. XXXX XXXX will not respond to select Portfolio services. And select portfolio services refuse to take that amount off of my mortgage. I don't know what I'm supposed to do now. If you need a copy of all of the correspondence and the letter I would be happy to send it to you.
