Issue: Communication tactics
Subissue: You told them to stop contacting you, but they keep trying
Consumer Complaint: I wrote Select Portfolio Servicing Inc a letter on XX/XX/2020 informing them to only contact me by mail. They continues to call me at all times during the day including after business hours on past occasion. When i did speak to a representative I was told these are computer generated calls and that is why I has to wait for the call to be transfered to a live person. I had spoken to the representative and informed the representative for Select Portfoloi Servicing Inc to only contact me via mail prior to mailing the letter out to Select portfolio Services Inc. They had continue to harass me with phone calls after I spoke to the representative, then I wrote them a letter which did not stop them from calling.

Consumer Complaint: Select portfolio servicing did not attempt to collect a debt. This loan serviced is holding {$250000.00} of my proceeds with no one to pay! I have been told by two representatives that the money will be returned. The first told me 5-7 business days, the next said 72 business hours and then from a response to a complaint I filed they called and said they would submit a request for a refund!? I want to know what is going why select property sent a {$250000.00} payoff to the title company and why they have MY proceeds

I am a single Mom and have XXXX children. XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX. My goal is to keep my home as I continue to work to keep my XXXX in California viable during the Covid pandemic and moving forward.

Consumer Complaint: We have repetitively requested an RMA but have only been met with increased payments rather than lower, information not sent, incorrect wage information, lack of reviewing our current salaries, inflated inaccurate appraisal, constant turnover of employees, we have yet to speak with any person more than once. It has been an exhausting, draining gargantuan effort on our part to the point of just plain mentally abusive behavior on the part of SPS. We are including a 54 page dialog and example of our strident attempts at a resolution. This packet ONLY encompasses the months of XXXX - present. After review, we are confident you will find all the information needed to outline actions, dates and amounts. The packet runs chronologically from most current to earliest dialog in XXXX.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Account status incorrect
Consumer Complaint: XXXX is showing my account as " dismissed '' in the comments and " Derogatory '' as a condition. I had disputed the account with XXXX once, but they listed the account as in dispute and I'm applying for a loan and had to remove the dispute. XXXX is no longer in business or filled bankruptcy and XXXX didn't update. This loan was list in XX/XX/XXXX to be included in a bankruptcy ; the bankruptcy was dismissed XX/XX/XXXX. At the time XXXX owned the mortgage and transferred it to XXXX XXXX who then merged with XXXX. XXXX transferred this account to Select Portfolio Services in XX/XX/XXXX. See notice of transfer from SPS. SPS never had the account listed as dismissed. I need the account to remove " dismissed '' from the comments and remover derogatory. This has caused my credit score to drop and I have to pay higher interest. Caused multiple pulls from the mortgage company. And the loan could be denied.

Consumer Complaint: We completed a " Loan Modification Agreement '' ( Providing for a Fixed Interest Rate ) with our existing loan servicer ( XXXX XXXX ) effective XX/XX/2020. After which our loan was ( Transferred / Sold ) to Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. on or about XX/XX/2020. A letter dated XX/XX/2020 came to us notifying us that we will have an increase in our interest rate on XX/XX/2020 to 4.5 % and that our payment will increase to {$2300.00}. I immediately called Select Portfolio Servicing and informed them that we had signed that modification with a " Fixed Interest Rate '' and asked them to honor that agreement they ( assumed/ bought ) earlier in the year. The Account service person informed me that they would send that agreement to their " Underwriters '' and that they would contact me within 5 days. How can this happen with a " XXXX XXXX XXXX '' Licensed under California State laws??? As of the date of this complaint, I have just got off the phone with Select Portfolio and have not heard any remedy yet. I just hope this sort of " Bait and Switch '' practices does not extend to anyone else this company services.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX, our homeowners ' insurance company, issued a check dated XX/XX/XXXX for {$6400.00} to us and the holder of our Note, XXXX XXXX. After XXXX 's attorney gave us the address, we sent it to Select Portfolio Servicing per her instructions, on XX/XX/XXXX. I received no response and called to find out the status in late XXXX. No one knew. On XX/XX/XXXX the check expired. On XX/XX/XXXX, Select Portfolio returned the expired check to us, saying that it must be issued to SPS, as XXXX is the " prior mortgage company '' although XXXX is the Plaintiff in a foreclosure action against us. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX reissued a check to us. Since this check never arrived, XXXX reissued another on XX/XX/XXXX. I sent this check to SPS. Payment was stopped on this check when SPS said it did not arrive. XXXX issued another on XX/XX/XXXX which I sent to SPS. I then called SPS. I was told that no inspection was needed as it was a private insurance check and that it would be indorsed to us shortly. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, I received a letter from SPS dated XX/XX/XXXX saying we need an inspection, a worksheet, the endorsed check, a signed contract/proposal and a waiver of lien, among other things. The check was enclosed, and we signed it and returned it. I called again, and this time was directed to call the XXXX attorney 's office as the mortgage was in foreclosure. The attorney had no idea what I was talking about when I discussed the insurance check and problems. I called SPS again. I was told that none of the items in its XX/XX/XXXX letter were necessary because the claim was not being paid by SPS 's insurance. No one knew where the check was, but I was directed to a site for collections. On the company collection website, it appeared that whichever division this is believes that the payment is coming from SPS 's insurance. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX reported that SPS had cashed the check. I called SPS and was again directed to call the attorney for foreclosure.
