Consumer Complaint: Select Portfolio Servicing Inc, is my mortgage lender. On XX/XX/2020 I got infected with XXXX XXXXXXXX in one of the buildings that I was XXXX XXXX, due to the severe XXXX my both XXXX were affected and just 3 weeks ago my XXXX discharged me. I lost my job, I contacted SPS beginning on XXXX and reported my conditions they told me that they will help with the deferral plan approved by the government but I have to call on beginning of each month during my sickness. When I called in XXXX they told me that I will start paying on XXXX, but I told them that I lost my job and still under XXXX XXXX, So I sent a letter to explaining the new banking law Section X-9 which support to the NYS residents and states that those monthly payments will be deferred until 6 months meaning XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ( done ) and XXXX, XXXX & XXXX ( pending ), but they sent me a letter on XXXX XXXX stating that those months + one more I dont know WHY will be in a balloon payment of {$12000.00} ( 4 months ) due on XX/XX/2020 which means I will star paying my regular payment plus this balloon and if I cant pay I will be in collection. After this, I sent another letter inquiring those questions and asking for a clarification, but they sent me a letter stating that they will answer in 30 Days but never happened. Today XX/XX/2020 nothing has been resolved, I am looking for a new job and hopefully I can start paying my mortgage.

Consumer Complaint: Hi, My loan is serviced by Select Portfolio Service I have asked them who is the banker on this loan they say they don't know they have to send me something in writing I have requested this information over 20 or more times never get an answer I just request it again today XXXX/XXXX/2020 and again they said they have to mail it but that it never comes in the mail. My mortgage statement comes in the mail so I know they have the correct address my interest rate is fixed at XXXX % from a modification I was asking them for help to modify the loan for a lower interest rate instead they so-called lowered my payment but put me in a loan that is completely upside down meaning over 75 % of my payment goes to interest keeping my escrow and principal payment in the red. Every payment I make my principal balance goes up and escrow fall short right now my principal is XXXX and my escrow is XXXX my escrow would have been more but I made an additional payment of XXXX towards my escrow a couple of months ago I have tried everything to help myself I was sick when I got myself into this mess but now I am better and can see what they are doing my house has been paid off several times with all the money I have just given to these people I want to be able to pay off my home. Consumer Complaint: Hello, This is a follow-up to the previous complaint as I have asked the lender multiple times to address the breakdown of line item charges as they do not seem to be accurate and the property has been sold already yet this lender is still working on a response for these line item charges listed on the Payoff statement. This just does not make sense as the Customer Service is incompetent and can not tell where these numbers were derived from which are obvious overages for fees/charges in spite of the fact that I have requested this information numerous times in the past still no resolution to it.. This lender has ignored requests to reply in time and has basically gotten free money from the Payoff of the loan. Does CFPB even do anything as the lender can just make up numbers when it comes time to Payoff as unfortunately, the house sale did not need to be delayed yet this lender has bogus charges on the Payoff statement that Escrow will not question? There needs to be some type of investigation as I do not believe these line item charges to be accurate.

First, I have had this conversation to SPS in the past that I do not pay anything on the first day of the month, and that by law I have at least 10 days to make payment. My payments are mailed by the fifth day of the month once funds are in place by the 3rd. SPS ' representative named XXXX said he would notate that I did call but could not waive late fee. I reminded XXXX that due to President Trump 's effort to shut down some post offices and the slow down due to COVID-19, it was not my fault my payment arrived later than usual.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX owned my 2nd mortgage which was an interest only structured to be a balloon payment due at the end of the 15 year term. They sold my mortgage to Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ). SPS made attempts to collect the debt. I received quote payoff amount in the amount of {$26000.00}. I withdrew my 401k funds and paid {$25000.00}, with intention of paying the less the {$900.00} left the following month so I could be done with this company. I initially tried to pay online but none of their online tools allowed for payments of this size. I went to my bank and initiated a wire transfer in the amount of {$25000.00}. The funds cleared my account on XX/XX/2020. On XX/XX/XXXX SPS returned {$25000.00} payment. When I inquired why, they advised it wasn't for the full amount and have proceeded to call me 10 times a day hounding me about this debt. I went to extreme lengths to pay 96.5 % of the debt, and they returned the funds. And now have the audacity to harass me with debt collection calls. It makes no sense and I feel that SPS doesn't want this debt resolved but only wants to harrass and intimidate me. It is very unfair and they should be reported for these wicked practices. Not only have they harassed me with constant calls, they have reported derogatory remarks that have taken my XXXX credi score to XXXX. This is terribly unfair especially since I paid 97 % of the debt with intention to pay the remaining {$900.00} soon after the funds were sent.
