XXXX XXXX XXXX which they charged me a substantial amount added to my mortgage loan. In XXXX my mortgage was transferred to XXXX XXXX who then wanted me to get a remodification on my loan. Consumer Complaint: Dear Investigator -- My home loan servicing company was changed from XXXX XXXX to Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc. approximately 6-months ago. In setting up my new servicing account, XXXX XXXX transferred a change for " XXXX XXXX '' in the amount of {$280.00}. I notified Select Portfolio Services ( SPS ) of this error immediately, and explained that for several years I had attempted to get XXXX to correct the error. XXXX had agreed to correct it many times, but never followed through. My attempts with XXXX, as with SPS were made all the more difficult because I was never allowed to speak to the same person twice. Every time I called, I had to start from the beginning. I did this for years -- approximately 6 or 7 years, to be exact! Now I find that SPS is no different. In the past 6-months I have made over a dozen attempts to get them to fix this error. I can never get the same person. There is supposed to be an account Rep Assigned to me XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, who has never returned an email or called me back. Even though a customer supervisor supervisor ( XXXX XXXX acknowledged today that I had made full payments, they refuse to remove the " Over-Charges '' that XXXX had added. Why should it take a consumer 6 or 7 or 8 years to get an accounting error corrected???? At this point, I'm ready to stop making payments to this company, all together who blatantly wants to steal from me, and presumably all their other customers. Please sanction Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc. to the greatest extent within your power. Thank you, XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have a home loan with Select Portfolio Servicing. Prior to onset of Covid 19 that resulted in California being shut down ( XX/XX/2020 ) I had not been late in making my mortgage payments. I own a XXXX XXXX XXXX and due to the Corona Virus and the lockdown, I suffered significant financial loss and at the end of XXXX of 2020 I applied for a loan modification. After some back and forth and providing them all the documents they requested I was turned down for a modification. I am still unable to pay my mortgage as my business has not returned to normal ... .people are working from home and there is little need for XXXX XXXX XXXX. I have tried to negotiate with SPS but they refused to modify my loan saying only that I do not meet the guidelines of the investor/noteholder but then do not outline what those guidelines are. I have repeatedly requested what those guidelines are but do not get an answer. I was given a forebearance of 3 months. At the end of that 3 month period and while my loan modification was in process, SPS demanded a balloon payment of {$10000.00} due on XX/XX/2020. This was impossible to pay, resulting in my being in default and I now fear they will foreclose on my home. Additionally I believe SPS to be in violation of the CARES act.

Consumer Complaint: On today, XX/XX/2020, I received yet another harassing, exploitive and threatening letter from Select Portfolio Servicing, the most unjust mortgage servicing entity in XXXX XXXX. It was surprising that my initial mortgage servicer had switched my account to SPS. In any event, CFPB assisted me before on this same issue of SPS penalizing me because it said that my payment did not arrive on the first of XX/XX/2020. Prior to this complaint by SPS, it said I had until the XXXX of each month to have my payment in. Then later, SPS said that I had to increase my monthly payment to cover escrow, and I did. I am seeking a new loan servicing entity because SPS harasses me with impunity constantly. I have attached the very letter sent me by SPS penalizing me because it did not receive payment on the first of XXXX. I do not receive income until the 3-5 day of each month, and have always told SPS such. Now suddenly this issue resurfaces.

Consumer Complaint: SPS is in violation of CA Homeowner Bill of Rights, in violation of CA regulations governing real estate, acting in bad faith regarding real estate and illegally attempting to grossly inflate a property for the purposes of attempting to foreclose on my home. At issue is a short sale request that has been submitted. SPS is demanding a full payoff which can not happen in a short sale so that is a violation of CA Homeowner Bill of Rights which requires lenders and servicers to work with homeowners to avoid foreclosure. Second, SPS is attempting to use an outdated broker price opinion which is a violation of CA regulations regarding evaluating properties that state those types of reports are only good for 90 days. Thirdly, SPS is completely disregarding comps that show properties that are completely move-in ready being valued at the price they say my property is worth. It's not. My property has significant damage and in disrepair, as evidenced by docs attached. SPS is acting illegally, stop them from breaking the law. Stop them from illegally inflating property values to act as a foreclosure mill. Stop them from taking advantage of people during a worldwide pandemic and setting foreclosure sale date during foreclosure moratoriums. ILLEGAL

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX per the instructions of select portfolio servicing, the title company withheld {$250000.00} from the proceeds from the sale of my house. This money was wired to select portfolio serving for a loan with {$0.00} balance and {$35000.00} in the escrow account. At my insistence the money I DID NOT OWE was returned to the title company XX/XX/2020 - without releasing the lien. The title company resent the {$250000.00} as reflected in the pay off statement. XX/XX/2020 select portfolio again returned the money to alpha title the company that closed the buyers of my house. At this time I have no idea where the money is from my proceeds of the Sale of my house. I believe this lien is for a line of credit to which I never agreed, received no value nor have any access to use. WHERE IS THE {$250000.00} NO ONE GAVE ME? This money was literally STOLEN from my proceeds by select portfolio servicing.

Consumer Complaint: During the COVID 19 Pandemic the primary head of Household in our family became unemployed. The servicer of the mortgage Select Portfolio Servicing Inc. put our loan modification that we have been paying on time into forbearance until the pandemic is over. They also said that we could apply for a loan modification and we submitted documents and was denied twice. The reason for denial the servicer stated that our income was not evaluated in the decision. The servicer is in violation of Federal Reserves requirements with respect to having to review all loss mitigation alternatives. They also must review my income as per the qualifying criteria set up by the FED. Under the FED 's Statement on loan modifications under COID 19 as of XX/XX/2020. They also must review to reinstate the previous active Loan Modification. See attached supporting documents
