Consumer Complaint: In XXXX and XXXX, I received several fraudulent documents from Select Portfolio Servicing that had been copied and pasted. My signature had been copied and pasted to fraudulent documents. Documents that involve deception and criminal deception. As well as a bogus call list claiming they called me, and I can prove is a lie. I can obtain a hard copy of all the calls I received. Moreover, they have no reason to call, I have never sent a late payment. In XXXX, XXXX I received mail from Select Portfolio Servicing, claiming to have spoken with me. Select Portfolio Servicing has never called and spoke with me. I have called Select Portfolio Servicing numerous times to request that my Mortgage payments are posted on time, and that my Mortgage Statements and my Annual Mortgage Statement are sent out in a timely manner Select Portfolio Servicing is a corrupt company. There are XXXX of complaints against Select Portfolio Servicing, people with the same issues and concerns. This is no coincidence. Today is XX/XX/XXXX and my payment, has not been posted.

Consumer Complaint: To Whom It May Concern : XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX was the previous owner of my mortgage loan and escrow account. The following is a series of events that led up to the filing of this complaint. I have all documentation for the facts I am going to state if needed. On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX sent me a letter showing my escrow account in surplus by {$550.00}, which they then sent me a check for and I cashed. The projected tax and insurance escrow amount needed moving forward on a monthly basis as of that date was shown to be {$940.00}. This made my new payment, including P + I, {$2700.00}. I paid this amount from that date forward. I then received a letter from Select Portfolio Servicing ( SPS ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating that my loan was being transferred to them from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they would accept my payments moving forward. It was at this time that I created an online account with SPS and started paying my mortgage and escrow total of {$2700.00}, via their website. Neither the old servicer, XXXX XXXX nor the new servicer, SPS, made me aware of any deficiencies in my escrow account. In fact, upon assumption of my servicing, Select Portfolio Servicing did an escrow analysis of my account, coming to the conclusion that I was in surplus by {$2500.00} which they sent me a check for and I cashed. I continued to pay the amount of {$2700.00}. In XXXX XXXX XXXX, I was made aware that my payment was changing markedly from {$2700.00} to roughly {$3100.00}. I was not aware of any changes in insurance, taxes or P+I, as my note is a fixed rate note, so I immediately went to my new escrow analysis online. In that analysis there was a debit to my account, in XXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$7800.00}. Neither SPS nor XXXX XXXX made me aware of any changes that needed to be made to my escrow account. The change just happened with no warning or explanation from either. I immediately contacted SPS and asked for an explanation as to why this change was made and for an accounting of the change. What followed has been a 2 and a half year journey to understand what happened. I am finally aware of what at least happened. XXXX XXXX transferred my escrow balance of {$11000.00} to SPS on XXXX XXXX XXXX It was at that time that SPS did the previously mentioned escrow analysis and calculated I was in overage and sent me a check for the surplus. In XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX apparently asked SPS for a debit adjustment to my escrow account in the amount of {$7800.00}, which SPS granted. As previously explained, this change was made without my knowledge and with no explanation or proof of accounting given to me. I have continually chased this transaction by talking to both SPS and XXXXXXXX XXXX to no avail. No one can explain why this happened or give me the accounting. I have even filed a complaint with The Department of Financial Institutions in Wisconsin, to no avail. I still have no explanation or accounting. SPServicing has now contacted the Wisconsin Department Of Financial Institutions, admitting that they were responsible for the accounting change but still offering no accounting or explanation for the change. ( See attached file ) It is for these reasons I am filing the complaint with the CFPB.

Consumer Complaint: I am writing to file a complaint against Select Portfolio Servicing XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX for their failure to pay my property taxes despite having sufficient funds in my escrow account. This failure has resulted in late fees and penalties being assessed against me by the XXXX XXXX tax authority. Details of the Complaint : I have impounded my property taxes in my escrow account with Select Portfolio Servicing. My escrow balance exceeds {$10000.00}, which is more than sufficient to cover the property tax installments. The first installment payment of {$4200.00} was due on XXXX XXXX XXXX Despite the availability of funds in escrow, Select Portfolio Servicing failed to make this payment. As a result of their inaction, the XXXX XXXX tax authority assessed a late fee of {$420.00} against me. I have attempted to contact Select Portfolio Servicing on numerous occasions ( 10 phone calls ) to resolve this issue, They tell me the same things saying they will get paid for weeks and escalated the problem but County tax doesn't show it's paid. I request that the CFPB investigate this matter and : Require Select Portfolio Servicing to immediately pay the outstanding property tax installment of {$4200.00} to the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Reimburse me for the late fee of {$420.00} that was assessed due to their negligence. Take appropriate regulatory action against Select Portfolio Servicing to prevent similar violations in the future. Select Portfolio Servicing 's failure to pay my property taxes despite having sufficient escrow funds is unacceptable and has caused me financial harm. I urge the CFPB to take swift action to address this issue and hold Select Portfolio Servicing accountable for their negligence.

Consumer Complaint: Select Portfolio Servicing is deliberately posting payments late, so they can illegally charge late fees. Today is XX/XX/2023 and my payment has not been posted. I have never been late on my payments, however, Select Portfolio Servicing continually violate my civil rights by unnecessary harassment and lies, among other violations of my civil rights. I have a paper trail of deceitful, fraudulent, fake documents, that were copied and paste from Select Portfolio Servicing. And I also have my own paper trail, that will prove their deceitful practices. I also receive my annual statements late and the law states that mortgage should arrive in a timely manner. Prior to SPS, I had never had any problems receiving my mortgage statements or payment being posted. Receiving my annual statements on time, and mortgage statements on time, is the law.

Consumer Complaint: SPS keeps dancing around the issue and the truth is not being told. SPS keeps going back to proof of income for XXXX job I submitted this many times and each time they wanted something different, I never withdrew always resubmitting per there request. Finally on XXXX XXXX a rep from sps kept me on phone for XXXX mins and talked with underwriting about exactly how they want PT income letter written which was done. On XX/XX/2022 a rep called and said verbatim, SPS WOULD EITHER DO A RATE REDUCTION OR REDUCE BALANCE BUT PROBABLY WOULD DO RATE REDUCTION BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT DOING MANY BALANCE REDUCTIONS A ombudsman called me and claimed they had no record of my phone calls, SO I SENT PROOF OF THE PHONE CALLS with a copy of XXXX call logs showing SPS talked with me for twenty minutes both times I would like copies of what was discussed during these two long phone calls on the dates mentioned SPS is not telling the truth I WAS TOLD I WOULD RECEIVE A RATE REDUCTION

However, every time I call them, they keep saying the check is coming. They have been saying this since XXXX. It is now XXXX. You can see many other consumers have the same complaint, as well as many other complaints of fraud, with a quick XXXX search ( eg on XXXX, XXXX, etc ). I have attached the only relevant document here- in which they explicitly state they owe me over {$11000.00} due to overcharging me, yet they continue to fail to pay me this money I am owed.

Consumer Complaint: Complaint Against Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc. for Incorrect Tax Payment and Non-Refund of Overpaid Amount. I am writing to file a formal complaint against Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. regarding an incorrect tax payment made from my loan escrow account and the subsequent failure to refund the overpaid amount, resulting in a significant increase in my monthly loan payments. On XX/XX/XXXX, Select Portfolio Servicing, Inc. erroneously disbursed {$45000.00} from my loan escrow account for a tax payment. This incorrect payment led to an increase in my monthly loan payment from {$11000.00} to {$22000.00}. Despite numerous attempts to resolve this issue through calls, emails, and mailed communications throughout the past year, the company has failed to refund the full amount to my escrow account. Furthermore, I received a Dispute Resolution Letter from Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc. on XX/XX/XXXX. The letter inaccurately stated that the tax disbursements were in accordance with information from the county website. However, there is no document supporting the payment of {$45000.00} made on XX/XX/XXXX. The letter also mentioned an adjustment of {$11000.00} has moved to this loan, but this adjustment was not reflected in the accompanying escrow disbursement history. Additionally, the Annual Escrow Account Disclosure Statement I received on XX/XX/XXXX, from Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc. shows an estimated disbursement of {$47000.00} for city tax, which is disproportionately high compared to taxes for my other XXXX properties. This suggests that Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc. has not acknowledged their error and may repeat the same mistake in future payments. This situation has caused me significant financial strain and distress. I request your urgent intervention to resolve this matter. I am seeking a full refund of the overpaid amount to my escrow account, an adjustment to my monthly payments to the correct amount, and a thorough investigation into the practices of Select Portfolio Servicing , Inc .
