Consumer Complaint: Thank you for your time. I am expressing my frustration with PNC Bank due to their refusal to link my bank account, at my instruction, to a service that provides debit cards for my teenage children to receive allowance.
Paying allowances can be a tad frustrating. We link allowance directly to extraordinary tasks that the kids choose to do as " work. '' XXXX offers a secure debit card system that is a way to both preserve their earnings, and to teach them to manage their earnings/create savings in an appropriate setting. They are XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Giving them change no longer works.
As a customer, as a mother, I am frustrated that I'm not allowed to enter my information and allow the link between my funding source and the place I want to direct funds. PNC 's refusal to follow my request without explaining the cause is both inappropriate and frustrating. It is my money. If they choose not to allow funding to this credible, recognized business, they need to disclose that in advance.
Raising children to be responsible adults includes learning how to manage money in real time. I depend upon the partnerships formed in the financial, insurance, and educational worlds to help support my mission as a mother. I expected more of them than this.
