Issue: Trouble during payment process

Consumer Complaint: Continuation to complain # XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I submitted a request to my mortgage company ( PNC Bank ) to close the escrow account. After many calls and follow-ups, I finally received a letter on XX/XX/XXXX indicating my escrow account can be closed but I have to pay a fee of {$1100.00} for " closure fees '' and submit a consent form. I signed the form and sent it back to the bank via mail as requested. On the night of XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX EST, I called and spoke to XXXX at PNC requesting information regarding the fee they disclosed and where in our document was this acceptable. The lady on the phone, after several minutes of review, indicated she couldn't find the clause in the documents that allowed them to charge me this fee. I requested her to have someone call me and drive me through the document as to where those fees were agreed upon in our document. So far, I have not heard back from the bank and I don't want to delay more the closing process. I just want indication as to what we agreed upon is correct and that I'm to pay those fees. If that was not the case, I shouldn't be charged for that. PNC issued a letter dated XX/XX/XXXX in which there were referenced 2 sections of the security deed as their reasoning to charge me 0.25 % of unpaid principal ( {$1100.00} ) as what they have called " escrow account closure fee '' related to my approved request to close my escrow account. These 2 sections are incorrect in nature as to allow PNC to charge this fee due to the following reasons : 1. Section 3 " Fund for escrow items '' states as indicated by PNC that the borrow shall pay the lender the funds for " Escrow Items ''. PNC failed to acknowledge that this same section defines clearly these escrow items as a. taxes and assessments, b. leasehold payments or ground rents, c. premiums for insurance, and d. mortgage insurance. None of these defined " escrow items '' include any closure fees for the escrow account. 2. Section 14 " Loan Charges '' states as indicated by PNC that regarding other fees they are allow to charge for them. However, PNC failed to identified that this deed section is related to borrower fees in connection to borrower 's default ( attorney 's fees, property inspection, valuation fees ). Additionally and possibly most importantly, this section is dedicated to " LOAN '' charges. My request is fully dedicated to " ESCROW Account '' closure which is my own savings account dedicated to pay for home insurance and property taxes, not related to the actual note in which I have not defaulted in any way. The security does not define in any section that was agreed upon execution of this document that borrower must pay any fees to close the escrow account. This might be a PNC policy to their customers but it is not part of our agreement. Actually, when we signed the loan documents for our property ( including the property deed ), the initial note was executed with XXXX Mortgage and not with PNC. PNC acquired the note after the document execution and accepted the terms of this note as their own. PNC has not provided satisfactory information/documentation that allows them to charge us an escrow account closure fee of 0.25 %.

Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX and I am an XXXX XXXX XXXX senior citizen. I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX. I recently went to purchase a automobile for my granddaughter at XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, GA. I was completely misguided and it was a deliberate betrayal of trust. They never asked to see any proof of income or anything but pushed the loan through giving me an interest rate of 7 percent and a monthly car note of {$490.00}. They inflated the cost of a XXXX XXXX XXXX to {$33000.00}. I can not afford this! I am in the early stages of XXXX and I really did not have a full understanding of what I was signing. I feel that they took advantage of my vulnerability. I am on a fixed income and incapable of paying this loan therefore I am returning this car back to the dealership on XX/XX/XXXX and I do not want this on my credit report or any present or future ties to this purchase. I am requesting that the dealership purchase this loan from the lien holder which will release me from the fraudulent deal.

Issue: Closing an account
Subissue: Company closed your account
Consumer Complaint: When I made the complaint to you about what PNC had done to me they took revenge on me by freezing BOTH of my accounts ( my business and personal ) so I could not get access to any of my money causing me a great hardship. My mother was on my persoal account too which caused her financial problems also. I was not able to pay any bills and including the death of a pet because they withheld my money without any reason or explanation. Nobody could help me nor could anyone find out why they were doing this to us even though they apologized profusely, acted like they were trying to help, then stabbed me in the back anyway. The people they directed to so call investigate and resolve the matter lied to me at every turn. The whole ordeal was a farce. They destroyed me financially and emotionally. I was a loyal client for over 15 years until they turned on me this XXXX XXXX through XXXX XXXX. We feared for our lives every single time we went into one of their banking establishments praying they would not call the police and have us executed under the guise of them fearing for their lives that we were trying to rob their banks, etc. They refused to give me any explanations as to why they were ruining me financially after 15 years of banking with them. Then they just closed my account down altogether and told me I only had a short window to get my money out. Even after that, they still would not let me in to retrieve those funds until the last moment.

Consumer Complaint: I called PNC Bank in XXXX, requesting them to delete my PMI. They sent me a letter saying that they couldnt because the equity wasnt at exactly 20 % or below. This was because they didnt credit the amount that was in the suspense account to my mortgage so that it could be at the amount that makes me eligible for deletion. When they resolved that, I called again XX/XX/XXXX and asked that they remove it per the instructions on their website. I received no letter in the mail for XXXX business days. I called back XX/XX/XXXX just to double check that someone was actually working on the request and that id receive the letter soon. They said the task had not been submitted. Its strange how all of a sudden Im eligible to have this amount removed but now their tasks arent submitting. Nevertheless, I said OK thats fine, can you please submit it? The lady said she submitted it. I called back today, XX/XX/XXXX to find out why they were holding funds in the suspense account when they had a full monthly payment again and also just double checked if the task for PMI was actually submitted and she said no she didnt see a task in the system since XXXX. Therefore no one submitted it these past XXXX times. She claims she submitted it again but Im having a hard time believing her. They literally do not want me to remove PMI and theyre playing little manipulative games to make me jump through hoops to remove it
