Consumer Complaint: I have reached out to PNC on several occasions in regards to requesting a refund for fraud and when I spoke with a worker I was told that I had until XXXX to file a dispute. I filed the dispute prior to this date as I was trying to go back and forth to see if the company Beyond the chair would refund me as they are fraud. I've called several times on this account and asked PNC to file a dispute, but they refuse to reach out to the company who took my money for a service that was NEVER received. PNC doesn't want to dispute the charge. I've reached out and filed the dispute several times and submitted all the documents. On May I went to a meet and greet with business owners who scammed me out of {$990.00} and I reached out to them several times to get the ball rolling. This company didn't respond until I stated I'm getting my bank involved. During this time we got the process rolling to start and then they ghosted me. I reached out a lot to see if they can refund me. I then reached out to PNC and spoke with a rep who stated I have until XXXX to file a dispute and just be sure to add all the documents.

Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from the IRS saying there was a charged off debt in XXXX from PNC bank. I went to a PNC bank branch on XX/XX/XXXX and they could not go back to XXXX in their system to identify if I ever took out any loans/credit cards. The IRS needs documentation proving that I never had any of these loans and I could not get them from PNC to prove this charge off was a mistake.

Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: This involves a banking issue with a checking account with the following bank : PNC Bank National Association ( Routing Number : XXXX ) XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX, PA XXXX, XXXX ( XXXX ) XXXX Check forgery/fraud incident not resolved after 8 months ; funds fraudulently withdrawn ( stolen ) from account have not been reimbursed. I am filing this complaint on behalf of my XXXX old mother. Her statement is below : I have banked with PNC over 25 years, and it was not until XX/XX/XXXX that I experienced check fraud. Checks written out to pay various service providers had been intercepted in the mail, forged and cashed. This happened three separate times - XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX and then again in XX/XX/XXXX. The first time it occurred, PNC opened an investigation and promptly refunded the amount fraudulently withdrawn from my account. The second time, PNC investigated and quickly refunded the account. When it happened the second time I went ahead and placed a stop payment on all of the checks that were mailed out at the same time. However even though I put a stop payment on the checks, there was a third incident involving a check I requested to stop payment on a check that was written in an amount less than {$100.00}. The forger changed the amount to {$850.00}. A new investigation was open ; however, PNC has not refunded my account for that stolen {$850.00}. Apparently, there is an ongoing dispute with XXXX Bank to get the money back and that is what's holding up the reimbursement to my account. It has been more than 8 months with no movement or resolution. Meanwhile, adding insult to injury, PNC Bank started charging insufficient funds fees to my compromised account, even though the bank was aware that my money had been transferred out to another new checking account while investigation underway. I have contacted the branch manager multiple times as she has helped with documenting the previous investigations. She has continued to state that the investigation is ongoing. I escalated multiple times within PNC just to get no response or the run-around. PNC refuses to reimburse the lost funds until XXXX XXXX ( the bank which cashed the fraudulent check ) finishes their investigation ( no timetable ). It has been far too long, and I should not have to continue to endure this inconvenience. I am XXXX XXXX XXXX and need my money. Being out of {$850.00} for this many months is a complete hardship for a person on a fixed income. I am submitting this complaint with the hope that the CFPB can influence PNC and XXXX Banks to resolve this matter before years-end with reimbursement to my account and prosecution of the forger. Thank you.

Issue: Trouble during payment process
Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX issued a payment to the taxing authority in which I reside, on a non-escrowed XXXX mortgage after I had already paid the property taxes for the home in full. In XX/XX/XXXX I received notice from mortgage servicer that my mortgage was in an escrow deficit, and that I was to cover the amount rendered for the current taxing year, as well as cover the escrow payments for taxes and insurance for the following year, Which was to be paid out in XX/XX/XXXX. This raised my monthly payment from {$2000.00} a month to {$5500.00} a month with no allowance for partial payments. My calculated DTI for PITI was in the neighborhood {$4000.00} a {$4500.00} a month. This situation raised my financial obligations to over {$6100.00} a month. Furthermore, while the loan servicers statements claimed this new amount was to cover Taxes and Insurance, I later found out that they were covering only the property taxes in the newly calculated amount, as the insurance company was not paid the premium to cover the home, which created a subsequent problem in which a forced policy was applied by the lender to cover the lapse in coverage. This situation has yet to be resolved and has caused me extreme stress and anxiety, and I am now facing the foreclosure of my home and potential homelessness. As I am currently unemployed in the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic, should I lose my home it is highly unlikely that I will be able to recover and continue on as a contributing member of society.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I noticed an ATM withdrawl on my checking account that I did not make. I called PNC immediately to report it. They issued a " provisional refund '' for the amount of {$73.00}, {$70.00} for the withdrawl an {$3.00} for a service fee because it was not withdrawn from an ATM belonging to PNC. I gave them all the information that they requested. They determined, with no actual investigation, that the transaction was legitimate. It was not. They took the {$73.00} back out of my account. They admitted to not investigating thoroughly. I filed a police report a few days later. That is ongoing. The bank, after many phone calls to complain to them, agreed to file another dispute. Once again, they did not investigate. I received a letter on XXXX stating that they have concluded, with no actual investigation, that it is a legitimate transaction. They refuse to request the video from the ATM. They have succeeded in helping a criminal steal money from me.
