Consumer Complaint: We have had this deplorable issue with PayPal since XX/XX/2020. Still no resolution. One of our cards got hacked in XXXX. Took 45 days to somewhat resolve, still not answer to inquiries. The replacement card could NOT get activated for days! The account has been blocked since XXXX It is impossible to get an answer as to WHY. My son could not add money to send the child support payment last month My son could not send his share of the phone bill payment My son had to walk about a mile to take a bus, I had to pay the full amount of the phone bill. My son can not order food, nor use XXXX or XXXX I am unable to receive payments from my clients, and risk that I end up with no shows. I needed the {$600.00} owed to me to pay for my car repairs. The transaction was DENIED for no reason, leaving me with no transportation and in a very demeaning, embarrassing situation. My health is suffering, so is my sons. Why am I and my son- who shares my account- being retaliated against? PayPal owes us a huge compensation for emotional distress, pain, and suffering, and then some! XXXX is highly responsible for this as well! Please read the full description on these list in the attached file.

Consumer Complaint: ATTENTION : executive department of Paypal, CEO, In reaching out to a Paypal rep today about my chargeback of {$89.00} that according to her was made before my cancelllation request and company confirmation on XXXX XXXX, I took the suggestion of the company to cancel Paypal recurring charges, days after I independently changed the options on the website to " no recurring charges ''. I also put a stop payment on the company, XXXX, right afterwards they charged me the {$89.00}. Currently, I have a few refunds coming my way through Paypal, and my fear is that Paypal will illicitly deduct {$89.00} from my refunds before providing me with the remainder. Again, this is illegal, and infringes on my rights as a protected consumer. I request equitable and fair treatment as all human beings do as such. Most kind regards, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, P ayPal incorrectly closed my personal and business accounts, as well as my wife 's. I am concerned that the closure was both based on false facts and discriminatory banking practices, and perhaps violated my legal rights. No information on the cause of the closure was provided. PayPal is holding my funds hostage for what they described as " up to 180 days '', with no explanation of how this timeline is to unfold. I have offered to provide evidence of all transactions. I have requested a forum to prove the activity as my own, and I explained that I have all accounting records to support the activity. I followed all limits set forth by PayPal in my load and withdrawal activity. I have had no history of negative transactions, charge backs, risky behavior, etc. To date, I have made numerous attempts from within the Paypal account in question to obtain information on how to withdraw any remaining balances with no success. I have also called numerous times with no success. Per Paypal 's initial email on the above noted date, after the " 180 day hold period '', I would be provided with a follow up and instructions on how to remove my balance. They have failed to do uphold this portion of their own user agreement.

Consumer Complaint: I made a purchase with a merchant through PayPal on XX/XX/2020 in the amount of XXXX from XXXX. When I received the items they were not what was advertised, although items were the same size, they did not fit consistently or even at all. I tried to contact the seller, and they gave me the run around so that I could not return the shipment. I filed the dispute with PayPal and after 2 months and a declined offer of a XXXX dollar refund from the seller, a full refund was offered if the items were returned. I was fine with that until the address was given and after checking with 3 different companies, the average price for me to return the items was XXXX dollars which is MORE than what I paid for the merchandise. After further investigation I found out that the company changes its name so that the bad reviews are not able to consistently be tracked in order to scam consumers. PayPal is not giving me a refund demanding that I return the product even though I will spend more to return the merchandise than what I paid for it. When I contacted my bank, they informed me that PayPal is aware of the companies that are doing this and have recently changed the way they charge bamk accounts in the form of ACH so that the banks can not offer protection even though I never provided PayPal with a routing number to perform any ACH transactions. This is not fair to me as a consumer.

They have a customer service number but once you call it, it tells you that they are not open for business but are still accepting consumers business. After they froze my account for no reason or notification, once you send an email to them, they tell you it will be resolved after 7 days. Consumer Complaint: After opening an account with paypal to process invoices for a new business -- selling gemstones online -- paypal allowed my activity for approximately one month without issue. All requested documents and information was provided to paypal as part of the account opening process and all invoices were tagged with corresponding tracking numbers for shipments to customers. Paypal routinely holds funds until shipments are marked as delivered. This was not a problem, until approximately one month later on Saturday XXXX XXXX 2020 Paypal notified me that I can now longer do business with the them, and the notice specified that funds within paypal will be held for up to 180 days. The amount held by paypal is {$5200.00} The shutdown came with no reason as to why the account was restricted, and no attempt to contact me or remedy the situation. In an attempt to resolve the dispute, I proactively called and emailed paypal multiple times offering whatever information they felt they needed to remedy the situation but all emails went unanswered and phone calls led to no further information or assistance. The funds being held by paypal represent the majority of the brand new businesses assets, and essentially have forced a brand new business to fail within weeks of beginning with no reason given and no attempt to work with me to resolve any perceived risk.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, PayPal froze my account and the sum of {$16000.00}. They say I violated there buyer protection agreement but after reading that agreement. I in no way violated said agreement. On XX/XX/2020 they placed a hold on my funds for 180 days because of charge backs and complaints but that would be impossible because the money was a loan and the person who loaned me the money had there account banned as well so even if they wanted to complain they couldn't. PayPal is refusing to release my funds to me under this facade. I feel like I'm being bullied by this company and they have lied to get me to pay outstanding balance using my locked funds as leverage even deducting the funds from the locked account. please help me with this matter PP-LXXXX is the case number to this matter

Consumer Complaint: To whom this may concern, I recently sold merchandise through XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX to a customer for the amount of {$150.00}. She paid via PayPal using her checking account. The funds were held by either bank or PayPal until they would clear. We waited a week and the funds would not clear as stated in the PayPal invoice which was XX/XX/XXXX, the date kept moving up the date and we decided to do a separate transaction that went through fine. Well, PayPal did not release the funds to this lady and keeps moving the date since she had a case opened. They told her she had lost her money. I told her that if they deposit the money in my account or release the funds, I would be honest and refund her but I could not at the moment because I did not have the funds yet. They refunded the money yesterday XX/XX/XXXX and refunded her the money back. Well paypal took the money from my paypal account today and debited the same amount also from my checking account.I paid this amount twice and I am out the merchandise too. I can not get a hold of PayPal and I am tired of these business practices. I need this money they took from me and so does my customer. They need to make it right and stop giving us the run around for a month. We use PayPal for our business and it makes our business look bad. Can anyone please help us?
