Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX. I filed a complaint a while back with Venmo and XXXX XXXX. I hope you're able to read it, but long story short is they " cashed '' my {$350.00} check and didn't fund any accounts with it, at lwast not MY account. My money is somewhere just not with me. I have acreenshots and proof which I provided with my last complaint. I've tried to follow up but they both are still giving me the run around. There is absolutely no reason that they haven't gotten me my {$350.00} they owe me. It has been 3 months. I have been behind 3 months on bills because of it. I'm still struggling because that was food for my kids and I for a month. It has put me so behind. I just want my money I am owed. I cashed it through the Venmo app, which is cashed by XXXX XXXX. I feel like it's not much to ask for to get my money I'm owed. There's no way this is taking 3 months to solve. You cashed my check, didn't fund me and I want my money.

Consumer Complaint: I created a Paypal XXXX account to support my interest in getting involved with affiliate marketing and I understood Paypal was a welcomed partner in their ability to support the financial processes needed for the billing and collection of sales revenues. I created my account with the details known at the time because there were many different types of products or applications available and since I hadn't completely made a hard fast decision I left it opened to be added later. Paypal is one of the options you can select on the XXXX XXXX site when you make purchases. I did my best to avoid using Paypal for this because I felt it was not required to complete the transactions i needed. In the process of me making purchases and then deciding some of what i got wasn't operating the way it showed or it was more difficult than expected. Each vendor has a refund policy so for things i wanted to return i followed the policy to request my refunds. In the process of this happening with my bank XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX - the charges appeared on my credit card statement with them - so i was working with them and out of left field i get this notification from Paypal making me aware they were looking into the problem but i didn't need to do anything. They open in investigation into something that clearly of no concern to them and made statements that they were waiting for resolution by my credit card company with had completed and closed but they never closed the inquiry on my Paypal account. I do some side work from time to time unrelated to affiliate marketing i painted a fence charge the customer XXXX he wanted to pay by credit card and i was anxious to see how the invoicing worked through Paypal. So after a couple attempts i was able to produce an invoice he could pay. I sent it to the customer and he sent his payment to me then immediately Paypal put a freeze on the funds- this was and is very upsetting to me after realizing there didn't seem to be a way around it- i waited for the stated release date - my attempt to retrieve my money at time was a notification from Paypal about needing to verify my ownership of the credit cards used in the netspend resolved refund and a copy of my bank statements and i was informed that access to my account had been restricted and i was limited in what i would be able to do. To me once i reached the end of there hold my money should have been released there was not one complaint or anything on my account. It is now XXXX and they have been holding my funds since XXXX XXXX the amount of the funds is XXXX. Even with large deposits at banks i have experienced anything like this and Paypal acts like they have XXXX accountability or responsibility or act in a way that is reasonable and customary and this is not anywhere close to that. Here is what makes their behavior even more confusing if my actions really where of a magnitude or level that i presented the type of risk they are alluding to in this erroneous and fictitious statements they made in the notes on my business account then why would my non business account be untouched. None of the actions taken make any sense at all and to me this is absolute abuse of power that has gone unchecked by the people who are suppose to help regulate these types of business but Paypal is clearly out of control. I would like my money that they have no right to be holding on to for this long

Consumer Complaint: I attempted to make a purchase of {$87.00} using pay pal credit. The Purchase was denied. The vendor accessed the PayPal system and attempted to make the withdrawal directly from my bank account when the PayPal credit Icon was selected. purchase. The Bank XXXX XXXX XXXX ) denied the transaction because the vendor did not have any authorization or proof of a purchase on a XXXX XXXX account.. After the failed identity theft attempt, Pay Pal, Rather than place the purchase of the vendor 's item on the original purchase platform offered by PayPal credit and accepted by me and allow 6 months for payment, PayPal took over the purchase and sought immediate payment prior to the 6 month contract that was agreed to prior to purchasing the vender 's service. PayPal has initiated collections activity prior to the 6 months that the PayPal credit agreement terms which I agreed to prior to the purchase. PayPal refuses to add the {$87.00} purchase on the PayPal credit account and wait for the payment. This is false advertising and identity theft by the vendor to access the bank account and trigger the shift the purchase from PayPal credit to PayPal.

Consumer Complaint: This complaint is to augment a previous complaint which we filed ( CFPB Complaint XXXX ). I will attach the previous complaint to this one for your reference. In short, PayPal responded to our original complaint in an unacceptable and unsatisfactory manner. PayPal removed money ( {$140.00} - XXXX XXXX and XXXX United States Dollars and XXXX cents ) from our merchant account due to a chargeback that our customer allegedly filed ( and wrongfully won ) directly with their credit card processor. Because of that, money was obviously removed from PayPal 's account and, in turn PayPal removed money from our account. There are many issues with the actions taken by PayPal and the unknown credit card processor which I will outline below. XXXX. The chargeback that the client allegedly filed directly with their credit card processor for " item or service not as described '' provided no evidence of how the item was not " as described. '' Upon later speaking with a PayPal account executive on XX/XX/2023 in regards to CFPB complaint XXXX, they similarly did not have, or apparently attempt to solicit, any evidence of how the item was " not as described. '' As such, we have effectively had money stolen out of our account and no one, including PayPal who took the money, has any idea why. I demand that PayPal either obtain evidence of how the product was not " as described '' or return the money. XXXX. In the conversation of XX/XX/2023 with regards to CFPB complaint XXXX, PayPal 's position was, essentially, that this situation was not their fault and that they had to go with the decision of the credit card processor whom awarded the chargeback to the buyer. This is, of course, an outright lie, because no one is obligating PayPal to take money from us simply because someone took money from them. Furthermore, upon asking for more information regarding the credit card processor and issuer, like, for instance, who they are so we can contact them directly, PayPal refused to provide this information. I demand that PayPal provide us with this information and/or be held accountable for the chargeback process and its results if they insist on keeping this information secret. We shouldn't be losing money to someone we can't even identify. XXXX. In the conversation of XX/XX/2023 with regards to CFPB complaint XXXX, the call must have either been disconnected and/or the account representative simply hung up because they could not defend their faulty position of taking money out of our account. I demand that, as a response to this complaint, we get a full resolution and a direct point of contact ( with a direct phone number to an authoritative account executive ) for the issue to ensure that PayPal 's account executives don't simply disappear without answering our concerns and leave us with their useless and ineffective general customer service team.

The seller, XXXX, was notified about this incident and made no visible attempt to reach out to XXXX about the whereabouts of the package. After personally reaching out, XXXX, they admitted to using another provider to ship the packages to an XXXX warehouse facility. The shipper hired by XXXX that made was " XXXX XXXX XXXX ''. Via email ups confirmed they wrongfully delivered to the wrong location. When asked via email ups refused to provide contact information for winitamerica. By phone, they stated they are not allowed to provide the company 's details for claims. I reached out to XXXX via phone call who confirmed receiving the packages at their return facility in new jersey. Throughout all these communications I was updating relink of the conversations with the companies but it appears there was a language barrier as the representative kept responding that the package had been delivered. Tracking numbers say it was delivered to my home however I was home at the time and date in question. My home also has several cameras around the house and at no point was the item delivered. The payment method was made through PayPal and a dispute with them has been filed as well. All these companies record their calls when they answer, and emails are saved. As a consumer, I expect to pay for what i pay. If the shipper loses my package it's their responsibility to make it right.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I attempted to purchase furniture using financing terms through XXXX using paypal as a payment which was 6 months no interest. When I purchased the items, it was said that I should have them XXXX XXXX. On the XXXX of XXXX I check the status of the purchase and it was updated to show that it wouldn't arrive untill the XXXX of XXXX. The Items were supposed to be XXXX Presents and the updated timeline is too close to XXXX and I decided to Cancel the purchase and find something else. I requested the XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. On XXXX XXXX, I was notified that the cancelations were complete and the refunds were made. The receipts show that the refunds were made and that everything should be fine. XX/XX/XXXX I received an email stating my account was NSF for the entire purchase that had already been canceled. Paypal, even though receiving the funds from the canceled transaction attempted to debit my account for the full purchase price of the items. Of course their is NSF because I had a 6th month payment plan, what difference should that make because I had to cancel the order due to the updated shipping estimate having it arrive to close to XXXX? Today I awoke to a XXXX NSF fee charged by my bank because paypal is attempting to double charge me, and on top of that I can not make contact with paypal and have no idea if they're going to attempt to try and charge me again for the canceled order which will result in another NSF fee and even possibly the cancelation of my Mortgage payment. They need to stop their theft of my accounts!!!
